Mason looked at her upon hearing this, stayed silent for a moment, and then said something that made the hairs on the back of Joanna’s neck stand up.

"Did you previously say that Bella is your boyfriend?"

His tone was casual, as if asking a very ordinary question.

But Joanna Ramsey didn’t dare to treat this light question as small talk.

She swallowed hard, staring at Mason, trying to read something from his face.
