As I saw Martina's newly evolved Dream Weapon and is weird abilities, I remembered seeing those weird scribble-like Nightmares we fought the other day that turned everything into paintings.

And then I began to realize that Nightmares and Dream Weapons… truly have no limits.

They are indeed conceptual beings, that can manipulate reality to an extent.

And Martina's Dream Weapon here… she did that.

"E-Eh? W-What happened to me? Help? I-I'm stuck? I didn't die?"

"Hahahahaha!"

Her Dream Weapon laughed on the floor, grabbing her belly because it hurt laughing so much.

"Pppfff hahahahaha!"

As she continued laughing, Martina slowly managed to free herself, realizing she was completely unharmed.

"T-The hell was that?! An illusion of some sort?"

"Martina!"

Sofia ran to her side, hugging her, she was relieved nothing happened to her.

"A-Are you okay?" Sofia asked. "Are you sure you're fine?!"

"I-I'm ok just confused… I think Egolatra here… She's got quite a temper and um, a weird power," Martina said. "Just what was that? Egolatra?"

"Hmmm?" Egolatra looked at Martina while raising an eyebrow, and then. "Hmph!"

She averted her gaze from her, crossing her arms.

The hammer she was wielding was gone, as if it never existed too.

Did we see an illusion or something real?

I would say it was a combination of illusion and dreams, made into reality, materialized.

Or well, fuck it.

It's a Toon power.

Yeah.

Freaking hell, this world is nuts.

"It seems that Egolatra has a power called Hammerspace, she can pull out stuff from it, anything… I think? It is limited to her own mood though, apparently," I said. "You annoyed her enough for her to pull out a comically large hammer and smash you into a pancake, but you recovered after a while, she meant no true harm, mostly just to scare you and tell you to stop annoying her. She laughed it off and now is ignoring you again."

"A-Ah…" Martina was left without words. "I-I… Uuh, I don't know what to say… I prefer the previous puppet now, can I get him back?!"

"I-I already had warned you that the Dream Weapon could evolve into completely different things, it isn't just an incremental upgrade," I said. "Sofia, Emily, and Alma got the "usual" incremental upgrade, but you got a whole different power now. you'll have to see how it works and try to please your new… puppet, haha… I'm sorry."

"Ugh… It's fine, I guess I was the one that asked you to help and all…" Martina sighed. "At least my magic and everything should still work as usual… Yeah." She tried some spells and they worked as intended. "It's fine I suppose! Um, Egolatra…"

Then, she walked towards her again, Egolatra was wandering around close by, looking at the forest, picking up flowers and touching trees.

"So what should I do for you to like me? Um, do you want something from me?"

"…"

The puppet princess looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

She glared at her entire body from head to toes, waving her head as if trying to say something.

"Huh? What's wrong?"

"Hmph!"

Her Dream Weapon, as before, simply had the same reaction as before, and decided to ignore her altogether.

Wow, she's ruthless.

"Ugh… Okay, go back to my Dream Heart for now."

FLUOSH!

At least she obeyed her in that regard, as Egolatra disappeared.

"It's a relief she still obeys me to an extent at the very least!" Said Martina. "But what the hell is up with her attitude?! She's such a brat! I didn't raise my cute puppet jester to become this damn brat! He was so nice and well behaved, a real love! But her?! She's just insane!"

"It's as if your Dream Weapon become a whole different being… Is the previous jester gone?" Alma wondered.

"Nah that's not possible," I said. "They are never gone. They just evolved. That's the same jester that was obedient and nice, it simply developed and transformed into something new… different, but still deep down it is the same thing. Imagine if you suddenly became a giant bird forever! Well, you were still once a human before that, right?"

"T-That's a weird example but I guess it works…" Emily said. "Ah, I'm hungry… Well, I'm happy most of us got nice evolutions, but I feel sorry for Martina, really. Sorry about that girl."

"Ah… it's fine… A-As long as I got you girls as my friends… We are friends right? I think I can push through…" Martina muttered embarrassedly, she was a bit nervous and sad.

"O-Of course! We're friends," Alma nodded. "We've only known each other for a couple of days Martina… But you're a good person, I would love to be your friend…"

"Alma… Thanks, you're so nice!" Martina was in tears. "Sniff…"

"I-I guess I can be your friend; you're Sofia's friend already anyway," Emily sighed. "Anyway, I want to eat something, can we? Looks like the whole place's peaceful now… Is the other team alright?"

"Yep, they're fine, just hunting, they reached a huge jungle filled with plant monsters and are having fun hunting them out only using dream weapons, it's a little self-imposed challenge," I giggled.

"Then we could take a break until we regroup, right?" Sofia wondered. "Shall we have something to eat for now?"

"Yeah, I am quite hungry…" Alma nodded. "I want something to drink too… Ah, Maria, did you bring the stuff we bought?"

"Yep, let me take it out," I nodded, as I placed a white colored table made of bones, seats made of bones, plates, utensils, dishes, everything made of white, clean bones, and then food.

A lot of junk food, sugary drinks, chocolate, cookies, cream puff, doughnuts, sandwiches, fried chicken, potato chips, cheese puffs, and more.

Yep, we were having our unhealthy feast…

"Um, this is a lot… W-What about the zero sugar stuff I bought?" Alma muttered, blushing a bit, she was careful about her weight and about consuming sugar.

"Ah yes, here," I nodded, taking out a soda with no sugar, cookies without sugar and cholesterol, and also healthy salty snacks that use mostly baked vegetables slightly salted with sea salt. "This should be right?"

"Y-Yes, thanks!" She nodded, licking her lips, as she opened a pack of cookies and started eating. "Hmm… Nom, nom, it's not that bad… These new sugar replacements and stuff are nice, I wish they had them back when I was a kid…"

"Yeah technology has advanced a lot," Sofia nodded, eating a doughnut while drinking some coffee. "Phew… I needed this."
