Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 329: More Guests in the Assembly
CHAPTER 329: MORE GUESTS IN THE ASSEMBLY
Only seventy percent (70%) of Adolfo’s earnings from the Prudencians were left, but it was still a huge amount. It would rather greatly boost and hasten the recovery of Prudencia.
They would no longer need to shell out the budget from the Imperial Palace to help Prudencia since the remaining amount from Adolfo’s earnings was more than enough to support the Prudencians for years.
If the money wasn’t for the Prudencians, Ferdinand would have donated all of it out of pride. Valeria wasn’t lacking, and if it does, he could just get the budget from his island back in Estrella.
Thus, they could simply say Valeria didn’t need the money since they could give Prudencia all the support they needed.
However, it was money earned from the suffering of Prudencians themselves, so it had to at least reach them after what they went through due to it.
After all, a lot of those who became slaves were still traumatized. The money may not and may never be able to assuage their pain and suffering, but it could at least give them the basic necessities in life while they were recovering.
They could take their time healing and the money confiscated from Adolfo’s profits could support them for a while.
They could at least use this money to farm their abandoned farmlands, rebuild their old homes, maintain their roads, and help those who experienced becoming slaves to be able to live a normal life again.

The Assembly in Medeus continued and discussions on the preparations for a possible war against Zynnia were finally pursued again.
However, one day, it was announced that guests from a neighboring kingdom would arrive to join at least two or three days of the Assembly meetings.
They were the King and Queen of Zygos.
Zygos is a huge kingdom that shared borders with Eliora, Griffith, and Zynnia. It was the only nation that shared borders with the three continents all at the same time. Zygos connected the three continents like a land bridge.
Due to this, Zygos was a very strategic location that was important to the three continents. Thus, the three ensured that Zygos was not conquered by other continents to maintain the current balance of power.
Zygos prospered due to the protection of the three continents and being the only kingdom that could freely trade with the three.
None of the three continents waged war on Zgyos since if one continent tried to conquer it, the other two continents would help protect it due to the importance of its location.
None of the three could permit such a strategic location to fall to any of the neighboring continents since it could cause a threat to them.
After all, if for instance, Eliora was able to get Zygos, it could make a military base there and use it to conquer the neighboring nations that belonged to Zynnia or Griffith and vice versa.
Acquiring just this single kingdom could tip the scales and give so much power to whoever was able to obtain it.
And yet, this time, the King and Queen of Zygos themselves had requested to join the yearly Assembly of the Council of Eliora. They said it was because they might be a target as well if war broke out.
It was a dangerous move, but it was apparently an action that was necessary because of a growing threat.
Recently, Zynnia had been deploying troops near the borders between them and Zygos.
Since Zynnia seemed to have been preparing for war for a while now, Zygos was alarmed they might be the first target so they could serve as the stepping stone to enter either Eliora or Griffith.
Eliora was closer to Fynnia so it wasn’t hard to know it was the target. And thus, Zygos decided to discuss it with the Council while the yearly Assembly was ongoing.
However, Griffith had spies all over Zygos. Thus, the instant they learned that the King and Queen requested to join the Assembly in Medeus, Griffith requested to send its representatives as well. It was to ensure that Eliora and Zygos do not reach an agreement where Zygos becomes subservient to Eliora or agrees to become part of it.
Moreover, if Zynnia was prepared enough to conquer Zygos, it meant triggering Eliora and Griffith as well.
It seemed far-fetched for Zynnia to blindly challenge two continents if they didn’t have the confidence they would win it.
Further, even if it was simply overconfidence on Zynnia’s part, the threat cannot be underestimated. Or else, they might fall before they knew it.
Most especially since Zynnia was continuing with their movements. They might be prepared for an all-out war against both Griffith and Eliora.
Over the years, Zynnia may have acquired greater power than everyone thought for them to be this bold. An entire continent would not act like this if it didn’t have the strength to back it up so it was highly likely they were prepared.
Arabella didn’t remember things escalating this much in her past life but things may have changed. She could remember Dimo saying that he had gone to Zynnia before and there were a lot of magicians there unlike in Eliora where magicians were not that common.
History books also say that the nations in Zynnia were formerly warring states. Each nation in Zynnia had strong military power. Thus, if Zynnia had been trying to get more powerful over the past years and they were united, they were a force to be reckoned with.
Thankfully, Griffith agreed to be on a truce with Eliora so they could focus on Zynnia in the meantime. Both continents didn’t want Zygos to be conquered by Zynnia so everyone agreed to cooperate.
However, something else became Arabella’s problem. She thought she wouldn’t have to face it until after several months more but it happened earlier because they attended the Assembly.
Renee met someone from Zygos that further triggered her insecurities and made her wish to be in Arabella’s body.
