CHAPTER 342: I DON’T SMELL ANYTHING

"Yes. So much better," Ferdinand inhaled at her hair and kissed her nape.

[She smells so good. I’ve been yearning for this scent all day. For this soft body to be in my arms again. For her voice. Her laugh. Her smile. Her eyes. All of it. I want all of her. How can she not miss me at all when I’m so frustrated all day from not seeing her face?]

Ferdinand kept tightening his hug as if trying to make her feel just how much he missed her and let her feel the frustration a bit.

Arabella reveled in it even when it began to hurt since it felt so nice to be held by him so tightly.

"You really didn’t miss me at all?" Ferdinand asked again in a sullen voice.

Arabella giggled. Her husband is cute when he’s like this. She felt bad making him feel lonely so she decided to admit it.

"I missed you too. I wanted to see you and eat lunch together. But we are both busy. Once we return to Valeria, maybe we can get a day or two of vacation as rest and spend some time together."

[Oh, she did miss me! How can she make me feel bad first before telling me? She can be quite mean. But why do I find it adorable?] Ferdinand finally smiled and kissed her.

’This smile is cute too.’

"We won’t be going back to Valeria after this. We will head to my island first, remember?" he reminded her of their promise to go all the way after the Assembly.

"Right, of course. Spending a vacation there would be more fun too," Arabella wanted to see him in his dragon form again.

Maybe she should indeed try riding him before she gets pregnant. Once she gets pregnant riding him as he flies at great heights would not be possible.

[I’m already looking forward to our first. I wonder what it would be like finally be inside her. It felt crazy good in her mouth. I wonder just how much more I would lose my mind once she finally accepts me down there.]

Her husband was already excited for the day to come and was imagining things. It was too graphic so she looked away from his eyes.

No wonder he was getting more and more bored and impatient with the Assembly. He wanted it over soon so he could be alone with her.

"Have you prepared yourself?" Ferdinand whispered in her ear in a husky voice. Her body involuntarily shivered.

"I did," Arabella assured her husband, and he smiled. He planted a kiss on her neck.

"I might not be able to stop once we are there so, please tell me in advance in case you think you are not yet ready," Ferdinand gave her the chance to back out even though he was already eager for it.

But Arabella was ready. She had been before she told him about it.

"You don’t have to worry about that. I have made my promise because I’m ready."

"I see. That’s good then," Ferdinand buried his face in the crook of her neck and planted a kiss there.

They were still in her study, so Arabella held back her moan as he began licking and nibbling on her skin. It always felt nice when he kissed her there.

"Mm. Even your scent is so relaxing," he sniffed at her neck and hair and kissed the back of her ears.

[And she thought of letting Alwin stay in this room filled with her scent all day? I won’t allow it. I’m not willing to share even this addicting scent of hers.]

"Did you know, you are the most fragrant being I’ve ever met? Your scent is so strong."

"What?! Are my maids using too much perfume on me?" Arabella panicked.

"No. I meant that in a good way. And it’s not the scent of perfume. It’s yours. I can smell your sweet scent even from afar."

’Oh, he often does sniff me and it arouses him.’

Ferdinand said that even when they first met at the foot of Mt Callion, he got a whiff of her scent while hunting for monsters in the forest. He thought he could simply smell something good. He was rather surprised he liked a sweet and floral scent. He thought it was from the flowers in the mountain, so he didn’t think much about it. But the scent kept getting stronger and it began distracting him so he dealt with the monsters more quickly to find where the scent was coming from. But when he carried her in his arms, he realized the fragrance was hers. It was even stronger with her in his arms. And he rather liked her scent, and even her screaming voice and tear-stained eyes.

’How can he like even those?’

"Your scent is simply so enticing. So addicting. I have never liked a fragrance this much before. The closer I get, the stronger the scent becomes," Ferdinand gave lingering kisses at her nape and shoulder.

[Her scent is so relaxing when I’m tired and yet, so arousing at the same time.]

"Only humans with trained senses could smell it. Alwin on the other hand, has good senses too. He could surely smell your fragrance as well. You cannot let him work here in your study. I don’t want him getting addicted to your scent too and becoming my rival," Ferdinand reiterated.

’Alwin would be disgusted if he heard this. Even if he could smell my scent he probably doesn’t like it. But is my scent really that strong? I don’t smell anything else aside from my Jasmine scent. I never heard Alwin or Rendell complain about my scent either. Neither did Raymond.’

"Maybe, only you can smell it," Arabella pointed out.

"No. They can too. Though they cannot smell it as strongly as I do. I can pick up your scent much more strongly since you are my mate. But they can also smell your scent," Ferdinand explained.

[How should I explain it? She already knows about the long-lived races and that I’m a dragon and she is my mate. It should be fine to tell her.]
