CHAPTER 803: CHAPTER 803: GRATITUDE

"Thank you, Your Majesty," they all bowed in unison.

"Alright, get back to what you were doing. Just make sure to eat and rest as well," Arabella reminded and let them return to their tasks.

She looked around the room.

Some of the Prudencians had just begun to eat while some were still lining up for food.

There were more people who could line up for their own food now after they had eaten last night and this morning and had a restful sleep.

They were still thin but their eyes were filled with life and hope now and they visibly had more strength in them.

It was a sight to behold especially after seeing how frail and sickly they were when they were just teleported. Their eyes that once had the signs of giving up on life had now changed and brightened up.

Arabella smiled. It was nice to see such a great change in just several hours.

Since everything was going well here as well, Arabella then turned around to leave. She paused when she heard a lot of movement.

"Thank you very much for Your Majesty’s grace and kindness.," the rescued Prudencians said in unison.

Arabella gulped and turned around. All of them were bowing their heads deeply.

"Please be at ease and eat your meals. I was just doing my duty," Arabella replied.

They kept bowing their heads and said in unison once again, "We will forever be grateful for this second chance at life. We Pray that Your Majesty lives a long and healthy life and saves more people."

Arabella realized they practiced for this for them to be able to say this in unison like this. It seemed they would not stop until she accepted their gratitude so she relented.

"You are very much welcome. It was my pleasure. I also wish to live a long life so I can see you all doing so much better," Arabella said and they finally lifted their heads.

She smiled at them and added, "Please thank the knights and magicians as well. They are the ones who risked their lives to go to Crux."

"Yes, Your Majesty. We are also ever grateful to them and everyone else who is helping us," they said and bowed to everyone else in the room.

’Ah, this must be Odette’s doing,’ Arabella knew since they were speaking properly in the way they should to a royal.

She did feel everyone’s sincerity and it was visible to their eyes. Some were even teary-eyed and holding in their tears while the others had already begun crying.

Everyone accepted their gratitude and urged them to eat first while the food was warm.

She learned from Alwin’s thoughts that he also received this kind of gratitude when he visited them this morning.

The Prudencians are so relieved and grateful that they were all truly safe now from Crux’s claws and thus did not hold back in thanking them.

Arabella then headed to the next room where the interviews were conducted.

There was no one inside since the knights helping with the interviews had also gone to eat while the Prudencians were having their lunch.

Odette had also gone to sleep so she was not there either.

There were a lot of documents on the table in the front though. It was the information about the rescued Prudencians.

Thus, Arabella just browsed through the documents and was glad the interviews seemed to be going well.

Everything was going well so she could eat and sleep indeed since just slept a few hours this morning so she could attend the Court Session.

"Alright, I’ll head back now and eat," Arabella concluded.

"Good," Alwin said like she was some misbehaving child that finally decided to behave.

He immediately teleported her to the dining hall before she gets the chance to change her mind.

The food was indeed ready and they were just waiting for her.

"Shouldn’t you eat as well? Why won’t you join me?" Arabella invited.

"I’m not hungry. And I still have work to do," Alwin said and simply vanished before she could reply.

She knew he was just somewhere nearby though and simply made himself invisible.

’Fine. I won’t bother him. Unlike Ferdinand and Raymond, Alwin is in his original body so he can just follow his usual eating schedule in Estrella,’ Arabella thought and just ate by herself.

She did not need to worry too much about Alwin, Rendell, and the others who were here in their original body and were not in a human one since their long-lived bodies were sturdy and healthy even if they did not eat for a while.

Ferdinand and Raymond who were given a human body were the ones who had to follow the human lifestyle and eat their meals daily for nutrition and sustenance.

And Arabella who was human and only had just a bit of elf blood (which almost does not even count since she was the nth generation) was indeed the one among them who had to follow it strictly.

Since the rescued Prudencians are doing so much better now than yesterday, Arabella was able to eat without worries.

When she was done with her meal, she went to her office to delegate tasks for her assistants for tomorrow.

Eunice helped her sort out the documents while Blanca brought it to her assistants’ tables.

When Arabella was done distributing tasks among her assistants, she could finally read Ferdinand’s letter to her.

* * *

To My Beloved Arabella,

I heard everything went well in rescuing all the Prudencians in the locations marked in the map.

I also heard you worked hard in helping out wherever you can once again.

Thank you very much for all your efforts.

I am glad to have you there while I cannot be around.

Please eat and rest well since you worked all night.

As for me, I am doing well here so you need not worry.

The researchers are finally getting some results and we are now sure that the disease was indeed spread by the pests.
