Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 806: You Are All Safe Now
CHAPTER 806: CHAPTER 806: YOU ARE ALL SAFE NOW
{Remember that you are forbidden to die if our plans are to work.} Alwin added.
{How can I possibly die in this secured place? I’m safe here. You are the one who needs to be careful.} Arabella replied.
It’s not like she was the one who was going to the battlefield.
It was him.
{Humph. I’ll be fine. Teleporting so many people at once just takes a lot of mana. But if my limiters are not here, I would be fine no matter how many I teleport.} Alwin bragged.
Once again, he was just stating a fact but it sounds too arrogant so Arabella did not bother replying to it.
Instead, she replied to his former statement for the sake of everyone, "Yes, Your Eminence."
"I’ll be heading out then, Your Majesty," Alwin said and teleported to the border between Prudencia and Crux where the knights and soldiers were ready to attack.
Arabella and everyone who remained in the room waited in silence.
Several minutes later, Riley teleported into the room with eight Prudencians.
All the rescued Prudencians had bloody clothes fresh from getting whipped.
One woman’s head was shaved clean and her face and body were purple and blue from bruises. She lost consciousness from getting teleported since she was already so weak and barely hanging on.
Two had only one eye remaining.
The others had a finger, hand, or limb cut off likely as punishment from their masters.
And all of them were thin and malnourished.
They were barely conscious as well and looked like they could die any second.
Arabella glanced at her assistants and maids and all of them were horrified at the sight in front of them.
[All of them are bleeding and heavily injured!]
[They are close to dying!]
[This is what Her Majesty and Nadia had been seeing?!]
[It was this bad?!]
[No one in the third step had missing body parts. Is this the only time there was something like this?]
Arabella’s maids and assistants had turned green with how pale they became.
Narcissa and Arabella’s maids could not take the gory sight and strong scent of blood and filth ended up puking.
Thankfully, Arabella and Nadia already knew this would happen so they had distributed a barfing bag like the ones used in travel to each of them in advance.
Only Nadia and Blanca were able to remain calm even as they were angered at what they saw.
The magicians in the room quickly healed the Prudencians and all their injuries were healed.
The rescued Prudencians were shocked to see all their wounds were healed so quickly. Their eyes shined when they saw their companions around them were healed as well.
Once the first set of healing was done, Nadia immediately stepped out of the barrier and went to help remove collars and shackles from the Prudencians.
Seeing that everyone was alive after the first set of healing, Riley was set to leave to continue searching in Crux.
"You are all in Valeria now. I have to return to search for others. Are there other Prudencians in that area," Riley inquired.
The others shook their heads so Riley was about to teleport but the woman with the shaved head who just regained consciousness grabbed onto his legs.
"Please save my relatives!" the lady begged with fear and tears in her eyes.
"Where are they?" Riley asked calmly.
"They are in the fourth house to the right from where you found us. There are three teens with them too," the lady said in one go.
"Which part of the residence are they hidden?" Riley inquired.
Any tip on where they could find others was important.
However, since the Prudencians were all barely conscious when Riley found them, he did not have the chance to ask them.
Only now that they were healed could he finally talk to them.
"They have a prison in the basement," the lady said with trembling hands still holding onto Riley’s legs.
"I see. I will go and find them. You can rest for now," Riley assured the lady.
"Thank you very much," the lady bowed until her head reached the floor even though she was already so weak.
She was that grateful and relieved.
"Be at ease. You are not fully healed yet," Riley reminded.
Thankfully, the lady obeyed and returned to sitting on the floor instead of kneeling on all fours.
With that Riley teleported back to Crux.
The magicians then continued healing the rescued Prudencians.
For restoring the missing body parts, potions were distributed since Zion, Alwin, and Riley had to save their mana for teleportation.
The Prudencians were filled with disbelief and elated at the same as their missing body parts regrew.
The lady recovered her hair and cried in relief, "My hair is back?! I thought it would not grow back anymore."
"My arm is back! How is this possible?!" another exclaimed.
"Is this really happening?!" one began to doubt if this was just an illusion.
"Did we all die at the same time?" another asked, concluding they must have died altogether.
They were so astounded that they began asking each other if everything was real or just a fleeting dream.
"It’s real. You are all safe now," Nadia smiled and assured the lady as she removed her collar and shackles.
"R-really?! Thank you! Thank you!"
The lady was overjoyed and hugged Nadia.
Nadia hugged the lady back without any issues at all even if the lady had bloodied and filthy clothes.
The knights and magicians also assured the other that this was real and they are safe now.
Arabella glanced at her assistants and maids who were still in shock. They were astounded that Nadia could smile even while in this kind of situation.
[I see. No wonder Her Majesty only chose Nadia to be assigned here. She’s so strong to be able to smile even in this situation.] Oscar admitted defeat.
[Nadia did not even talk to us about any of this. If it was someone else, they would have bragged in helping in something this crucial. She’s focused on her task,] Egbert observed.
[This is all too shocking. How to process all this?] Felix thought.
