Arabella was worried Narcissa might faint but she remained headstrong with her determination and stayed conscious despite already feeling dizzy and nauseous.

Arabella learned from Ronald’s thoughts that his father had communicated with him this way several times after he learned the truth.

After some training, Ronald was now able to tell elves from how their mana and presence was different from other long-lived races.

Zion assured Ronald while looking at the mages who were healing and checking the Prudencians with the doctors.

Riley teleported back into the room after a few minutes. He was with the people the lady mentioned.

There were indeed two adult ladies and three teens. The teens were two girls and one boy who were probably thirteen to fifteen years old.

The two adults were heavily injured and also had their hairs shaved clean.

The teens were also injured but their wounds were much lighter compared to the adults.

From what Arabella learned from their thoughts, it was because their master was planning to sell the teens to another kingdom.

’Despicable bastards! They really think of them as just some kind of items they can sell whenever they want. Did they think they would win in this war against Valeria?’ Arabella thought in disgust and irritation.

The nobles in Crux were making her angrier every single day that passed.

If not for Princess Seraphina and the anti-slavery faction, Arabella would have thought all nobles in Crux were all the same and would not have minded them getting heavier punishments than the one they planned to impose.

The lady earlier who informed about the location for the five cried in relief upon seeing her relatives and comrades but did not dare approach yet and watched silently as the five were also healed until all their wounds and injuries were gone.

Only then did they have a tearful reunion and embraced each other tight. As they expressed their relief and gratitude to be alive and finally safe from their hellish life in Crux.

Arabella learned from the ladies’ thoughts that she got her hair shaved after she seduced the master of the five just to know about their location and help them escape.

Thus, the lady was punished heavily and the concubine had the ladies’ hairs shaved so they would not attempt to seduce anyone in the master’s family again.

Due to that, they were no longer able to attempt any escape as they were heavily guarded.

Riley was only able to discover their location today because the lady and her seven companions were brought out because they were supposed to join the Crux army wearing Crux attire.

They knew that Prudencians knights would likely be part of the army and they did not want to kill any of their own people or be killed by them so they refused to go no matter what their master threatened them with.

However, since they refused and would rather die, they were punished heavily today and almost beaten to death.

Thankfully, Riley was able to prevent the death of such loyal people when he arrived.
