Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 812: He Was Sheltered Too
CHAPTER 812: CHAPTER 812: HE WAS SHELTERED TOO
In order of importance, Alwin was of course the priority even if he was just one person. After all, as long as he lives, he could save so many more lives and heal many more people.
[I thought she would debate it. I’m glad Her Majesty understands. Thank goodness she and Alwin had gotten more close lately. If he had kept being disrespectful with her, Her Majesty might have chosen otherwise to teach him a lesson.] Zion sighed in relief.
"Thank you, Your Majesty," Zion bowed and summoned the magicians in the room.
’Haha. He is still quite disrespectful. Not that I still mind. And I’m not so petty to delay back up when he could really be in danger.’
They simply did not know that Alwin was still quite rude with her but in a friendly manner this time.
Alwin always puts up a barrier so not even Rendell hears it.
"Several minutes ago, His Eminence summoned Riley to go to Marquess Heron’s estate. Now, he’s asking for backup at the Alba Estate," Zion spoke with the magicians.
"He asked for backup?!"
The magicians were visibly surprised.
"Unbelievable as it may seem, yes, he did. We all know what he’s like. He won’t ask for help even if he’s backed into a corner," Zion said and the agreement on the magician’s faces were visible.
[What if we went there and he got angry instead?]
[He might think we are underestimating him.]
[When has he ever needed our help? Even if he did, he would never admit it.]
[The last time we tried to help him when he was younger, he said he didn’t need our help and put up a barrier so we could not intervene.]
’Eh, Alwin was this full of himself?’ Arabella almost scratched the back of her head.
She already knew Alwin was a proud person and since he was so capable, he did almost everything by himself.
But who would have expected he goes that far to ensure no one helps him.
’Then does he only ask help from me since Ferdinand’s scolding was the only thing he could not escape?’
Arabella internally facepalmed.
[I thought they would immediately run to His Eminence’s side if he needed help. But why are they glancing at each other nervously like they do not want to go?] Ronald wondered.
"Haha. I understand why you’re all hesitant. He did not ask for help indeed until Her Majesty contacted him," Zion chuckled.
[Ugh. He’s so full of himself even in situations like this? He should just ask for help if he needs it. What if something really happens to him? Would he still be so arrogant? Ah, he probably would.] Blanca rolled her eyes.
"He had run out of mana and used up all his recovery potions and could not even reply to me. He’s likely fighting in close range and needs to focus," Zion continued.
"They managed to corner him that much?! Just what have they done to be able to get close to him?"
The magicians in the room were even more surprised but they were still so relaxed about this situation.
Only Arabella, Blanca, and Ronald were truly nervous about this.
’Just how arrogant had Alwin been even in front of these elves who are older than him?’ Arabella had to wonder.
Alwin was also their prince but they were hesitant to go and help him.
However, listening to their thoughts more, Arabella learned it was not out of not wanting to help him out.
It was because Alwin extremely rarely needed their help but never asked for help.
They also knew he was so capable that it was almost unbelievable he was cornered to fight.
"Yes. He must be heavily outnumbered for them to be able to get close. Three of you remain here to heal Prudencians. The rest, go to Alba Estate and aid Alwin. He said to bring at least two knights to guard per magicians and be ready to fight upon arrival. However, it would be better to bring more knights so you can all escape safely when necessary. Bring at least a hundred knights with you and as many recovery potions as you can. Force him to drink one if he is injured," Zion ordered.
The magicians finally had a serious face when Zion mentioned Alwin possibly getting injured.
It seems they could not comprehend him getting injured at all with how powerful he was. And they didn’t like the thought of him getting injured.
"Ensure His Eminence safety first and foremost and tell him to return here as soon as possible. If he refuses, tell him I will go there and kill him myself if he’s so stubborn," Zion added
The magicians bowed and left the room, leaving only three to keep healing rescued Prudencians once there were more brought in.
Ronald blinked repeatedly at the last phrase but Arabella and Blanca understood why Zion had to say it.
"Ah, my apologies. It may sound rude but Alwin can be stubborn sometimes. He’s so capable that he barely gets cornered by an opponent. But even if he was, they still are defeated by his mana capacity and ability to cast spells at the same time anyway. However, they might have used tricks this time and he’s not used to such things since he’s used to directly attacking. Thus, he must return here first," Zion explained.
It seems Alwin was sheltered as well. And by such strong overprotective people too.
No wonder he also did not figure out the tricks in their past life and also took him to a second life to see things in a different life.
"Yes, I understand. He is indeed stubborn so it couldn’t be helped," Arabella chuckled.
"I’ll inform His Excellency just in case I truly might have to go and pick up His Eminence," Zion said and Arabella nodded.
{Raymond, something went wrong. Alwin might be in danger. He might be injured as well since he ran out of mana and is fighting in close range.} Zion contacted Raymond telepathically.
