Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 821: Let Him Blow Some Steam
CHAPTER 821: CHAPTER 821: LET HIM BLOW SOME STEAM
"You should check on the battlefield at the borders now," Alwin reminded Zion so he would not receive another scolding from him anymore.
"I will. But I must retrieve weapons from Estrella first. The weapon’s here won’t work on the undead. And I can’t use my mana carelessly since the enemy might target me and the others as well," Zion pointed out.
Zion who had been to many wars was not a reckless as Alwin when it came to using his mana. He knew there were so many possibilities that might happen so he was not into letting his mana run out.
Likewise, there was no need to panic since even though Crux’s magicians might have used undead soldiers, Valerian knights were capable.
"The situation in the Alba Estate is more worrisome. Perhaps, I should head there first," Zion thought.
"No, I can go there myself. I’ll bring more potions with me this time," Alwin volunteered.
But shortly after Alwin said that, they all tensed when all of a sudden, the ground shook.
Rendell immediately supported Arabella.
Ronald supported Blanca.
The magicians in the room supported the doctors.
"This presence is?!" Zion was wide-eyed.
"This hostility, it’s the first time in a while," Raymond commented. He was surprised at first but recognized it.
"Why did he come here?" Alwin frowned, knowing what happened.
[This presence is familiar. But this is so hostile and imposing that I almost thought it was different.] Even Ronald recognized it.
Arabella did not understand what they meant but she learned from Raymond’s words when he spoke.
"Why else but to come rescue his cute little nephew?" Raymond said like it was absurd for Alwin not to know why.
Zion sighed in exasperation as to why Alwin could not figure out the reason immediately.
"Alvis mana keeps rising. He’s furious indeed. He must have felt two of your mana cores getting used up after he you got injured and bled a lot," Raymond calmly said.
[He would come here in the human realm in this state because of those?] Alwin doubted it.
’Oh, it’s the King of the Elves?’ Arabella perked up. It’s been a while since she last saw Alvis.
Raymond explained to her that the quaking of the ground was caused by Alvis immense mana. It would have not cause this much of a disturbing effect if he came here in a good mood.
However, Alvis had arrived here in the human realm in a dark mood likely because of Alwin’s injuries and two mana cores used up which he would have known through the Holy Tree.
"It seems we don’t have to worry about the situation in the Alba Estate. King Alvis seems to have gone there directly. He must be running amok now," Zion surmised.
[The people in the surroundings would likely pass out from the sudden exposure to sudden mana but it should be fine since some of our magicians are there to keep them safe.]
’If the quaking of the ground can be felt here in Riva even though Alvis was in Crux, then he must be immensely furious right now as Raymond have said,’ Arabella glanced at Alwin he still had a look of disbelief on his face.
Yet, his ears were red from embarassment since he actually like his uncle would actually get this furious that he got hurt and used his mana cores.
"Ah, that’s good indeed. Alvis won’t let them leave scotfree. We can also have him help out on the battlefield. Running amok in the Alba Estate won’t be enough. Zion, go and provoke him further until he clears up all the undead," Raymond grinned mischievously.
"Hey, he’s still the king of the elves," Zion reminded Raymond.
"It’s exactly why he must wipe them out after they hurt the only prince of the elves, right? We should allow him to blow off some steam after he came all the way here," Raymond pointed out.
Raymond was acting sly but what he said was indeed reasonable.
Arabella learned that Alvis’s children were apparently all ladies.
And Alvis’ children had no interest in being the ruler since they knew it was supposed to Alwin.
Likewise, Alwin was so much more capable in magic than they were so he also won when it came to ability.
Alwin was to be the next king since he was older than Alvis’ children and was already the crown prince before the Great War happened.
The throne was rightfully Alwin’s by birth right and by age. His parents were the former King and Queen after all.
However, Alwin clearly had no interest for the throne since he did not grow up among the elves and had lost his memories of when he was young. He only recovered them recently after meeting with Elder Satara.
Arabella also learned from Raymond and Zion that Alvis lost a lot of elves during the Great War from these undead soldiers and the poison and weapons used on Alwin today.
It was also why Alwin’s parent’s died.
Having experienced such in the past, Alvis would not allow Alwin to suffer the same fate as his parents.
It was likely why he was furious right now and directly headed to the Alba Estate where Alwin’s blood dripped to the soil.
Alvis’ had also been developing a new kind of magic using the Holy Tree and it had just been recently completed.
For now, among the elves, it was only Alvis who could use it. It did not need physical weapons to truly kill the undead and stop them from regenerating.
Thus, Alvis’ sudden arrival was favorable to them.
"Alright, I’ll head to the Alba Estate right now before King Alvis harm our allies too," Zion said.
Zion would guide Alvis where he should go next to eliminate the magicians who caused Alwin to get hurt and lose mana cores.
This way, they could also make Alvis take out his anger by using his power to eliminate all the undead the necromancers had made.
They get to let Alvis blow some steam while likewise solving their problem.
