Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 825: What Happened to My Master?!
CHAPTER 825: CHAPTER 825: WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MASTER?!
Blanca’s tears were escaping her eyes in torrents.
She could not believe she was seeing the arrogant and powerful Alwin like this.
"Haha...Are you crying?" Alwin laughed weakly as he felt some of Blanca’s tears drop on his palm.
"I’m not!" Blanca gritted her teeth. She wanted to use a spell to just make Alwin pass out already.
[How can he still laugh at a time like this?! Did he really have to push himself this much?!]
Blanca looked like she might erupt any second and lose patience from frustration so Arabella spoke again.
"You already did more than enough. We are grateful for your efforts," Arabella said and all the rescued Prudencians followed.
"Thank you very much for your efforts, Your Eminence. We are forever grateful. Please rest now," the Prudencians said in unison.
"Is... that... so..?" Alwin asked weakly with the last of his strength and his voice trailed off in a whisper.
After those words, he finally lost consciousness and Ronald carried him.
Everyone sighed in relief as he was finally carried back into the barrier and settled on the bed Blanca had prepared for him.
"Thank you," Arabella smiled at the rescued Prudencians.
[I doubted my eyes at first but isn’t she Her Majesty the Empress?!]
[S-she’s thanking us?!! She’s the Empress right? Why is she here?!]
[So gorgeous! I heard they approved His Majesty’s proposal and they got married so she’s our Empress now.]
The Prudencians had heard about the happenings from their masters and what they hear from slaves in Crux.
"W-we are the ones who are grateful, Your Majesty," the rescued Prudencians did their best to greet her properly.
"Please be at ease. You are not fully healed yet," Arabella said and they hesitated but returned to their former positions.
"As you have seen, His Eminence is not in a good condition.
He had greatly helped in the war and had saved a lot of people.
However, the pro-slavery faction of Crux had prepared a sinister trap so His Eminence ran out of mana and ended in this condition.
The other magicians are still in the battlefield doing their best while another party is searching for more Prudencians.
I hope you can wait until His Eminence recovers or the other magicians arrive.
In the meantime, our most skilled doctors will tend to your injuries."
Arabella explained the situation so that the rescued Prudencians from this batch onwards will not feel bad their injuries were not healed like the other previous batches were who were healed completely.
"We are already immensely grateful to have been rescued, Your Majesty.
This is already more than enough.
Thank you very much for helping us!" the Prudencians bowed again and thanked them all earnestly.
Arabella wished Alwin had heard this. She knew though that they would thank Alwin earnestly once he woke up.
Blanca got out of the barrier again and went to Arabella’s side.
As the Head Maid had trained her, Blanca had dried her tears and came out of the barrier composed.
"Is he alright?" Arabella inquired.
"Yes, Your Majesty. He just lost consciousness from exhaustion and recovery potion overdose," Blanca assured her.
"I see. That’s good then," Arabella sighed in relief and eyed the Prudencians once again.
Since Alwin had passed out, it was time for Blanca to help in healing.
"Everyone, this is Lady Blanca, she is my capable hand maid and His Eminence’s fiancee. She will be helping here in His Eminence’s stead," Arabella introduced and Blanca curtsied.
Arabella had to introduce Blanca so they would understand why Blanca scolded Alwin the way she did earlier.
[I see... No wonder she could say those words to His Eminence while she was in tears.]
They slowly nodded their heads in understanding.
"Oh, and His Eminence little disciple will also be helping in the next room. I hope you can be kind to him," Arabella introduced in advance.
"Thank you very much, Your Majesty. We are ever grateful," the Prudencians thanked her and also thanked Blanca before she could begin healing them.
Arabella then returned to the barrier since her presence outside the barrier where people could see them only made them bow to her to follow the formal greeting rules.
It was better to stay in the barrier where she was not visible to them.
"Please escort Dimo here. He is waiting in his room," Arabella instructed one of the knights guarding at the door.
Since they had no more magicians to tap, Dimo had to help too.
However, not here.
Since he was still young, Arabella was worried he might catch diseases from the filth and blood here, not to mention the stench.
Dimo might not be able to take the smell so he would be healing those who were already bathed and cleaned from the rescued Prudencians who were not healed completely.
Dimo can do much more precise healing so the next room was better for him.
"Yes, Your Majesty," the knight replied and returned with Dimo minutes later.
Arabella signaled to Rendell and he blocked Dimo’s view so he would see the sight outside the barrier.
"Your Majesty, you summoned?! Whom should I heal?" Dimo beamed excitedly.
He had been eager to help right on day one but they had reserved it only when they needed more hands due to the state the rescued Prudencians were in.
"Dimo," Arabella smiled and patted his head.
Just seeing him was so relaxing.
It was a breath of fresh air from all these matters about the war.
"M-master?! What happened to my Master?!" Dimo saw Alwin unconscious on the bed Blanca had made.
"He is just exhausted so he has to take a rest to recover," Arabella assured him.
"I... I see," Dimo said. He touched Alwin’s hand and sighed in relief that it was warm.
[That scared me. I thought something happened to my Master. I heard he helped in the battlefield so I thought he got injured.]
Dimo was so thoughtful.
Arabella was glad all the blood from Alwin’s cloak and clothes was already gone.
Blanca had also cleaned up his face from the blood earlier as well.
