CHAPTER 879: CHAPTER 879: WAKING MOMENTS

The sensation they felt was different from how it usually was.

But when they were close to their peak, Ferdinand once again had her back against the wall since she was scared of falling.

It was because her arms had weakened from all the relentless pleasure she was receiving.

Arabella was worried she could no longer hold onto him.

Ferdinand was confident he could still support her weight even in the throes of passion, but he did not want her getting distracted instead of enjoying herself.

Thus, he did it to assure her.

But in fact, he was strong enough to support their weight even while drunk on pleasure.

Once again, they came together, wrapped in each other’s embrace.

They did it one more time before they finally went to Arabella’s inner chambers and used the bed for several more rounds.

.

.

Several hours later.....

Even with her eyes still closed, Arabella knew it was bright outside.

The weight on her waist and the warmth around her were more than enough to tell her she was not alone.

Ferdinand was still here, and she was in his embrace.

She stretched and turned around, wanting to cuddle facing him, and continue sleeping.

"Good morning," Ferdinand gave her a peck on the forehead.

Arabella lazily opened her eyes and was greeted with a bright smile by her happy and refreshed-looking husband.

As always, he looked so energetic and bright after they had consummated.

Arabella, meanwhile, felt various parts of her body aching. Especially her back, arms, and legs.

She could feel the exhaustion and soreness from last night.

However, she also felt a sense of satisfaction and comfort. Especially upon waking up embraced warmly by a smiling Ferdinand.

"Good morning," Arabella smiled back.

"You should rest some more," Ferdinand gently caressed her cheek.

"Hmm," was all she could say as her lids felt heavy again.

Arabella yawned sleepily and once again closed her eyes.

She needed more sleep indeed.

Ferdinand scooted closer as if the small distance between them was too much.

Knowing she was tired, Ferdinand did not do anything else and let her sleep some more.

She was just about to fall asleep again when her thoughts wandered.

’It would be nice to just keep sleeping until the afternoon... No, wait!! The Court Session!’

Arabella abruptly sat up and Ferdinand instantly did as well.

"What’s wrong?!" Ferdinand asked in alarm.

"The Court Session! What time is it?" Arabella inquired and her husband chuckled.

"Haha. It’s long over. I had Raymond take care of it. I told him before I returned here at dawn."

"Eh?" Arabella glanced at the wall clock and it was already lunch time.

"You should sleep some more instead," Ferdinand patted the bed, telling her to lay down again.

However, Arabella was fully awake now after getting so alarmed thinking she missed the Court Session.

"I’m no longer sleepy."

Ferdinand eyed her and cupped her cheek, "Are you sure?"

"Yes," she knew she would not be able to just return to sleep now.

"Oh, then should I ask them to bring lunch here?"

Arabella thought about it and she did still feel tired. Thus, it was better to just eat here since she won’t have to completely dress up.

"Yes, please."

"Alright. I’ll tell Alfredo," Ferdinand kissed her on the forehead and contacted Alfredo telepathically.

{Bring the food to my wife’s chambers.}

{Yes, Your Majesty.}

Arabella looked around the room and noticed Ferdinand had cleaned up the mess they made.

Their used clothes and robes were neatly folded and settled on one of the tables.

There was also a new robe ready for her settled on her bedside table.

It was clear he had woken up much earlier than she did but stayed by her side.

Arabella smiled. This was one of the reasons she kept falling for him.

Further, she sweated a lot last night but her body was not at all sticky.

’Did he clean me up again?’ Arabella blushed.

Even though they had been intimate quite a lot of times and Ferdinand had already repeatedly done this, Arabella still could not help but feel shy.

Likewise, she’s grateful Ferdinand was this concerned about her to do these things for her.

It proved he was not simply after her body but her as a whole.

"Muah," Ferdinand kissed her on the cheek and hugged her. "I’ll wait for you outside."

He was giving her space so she could clean up and at least wear something before their meal arrived.

After all, if she got out of bed naked with Ferdinand watching her, they might just begin doing something else again.

"Thank you," Arabella responded and Ferdinand rose from the bed completely unashamed of his nakedness.

Arabella was wide-eyed to see she had left a lot of nail marks and scratches on his back. Some were deeper than usual.

’Did I overdo it?’

"Umm... Maybe, you should get those treated in the meantime."

Arabella felt bad to have wounded his skin.

’What if it hurt instead of feeling good but I did not notice?’

"Ah, these? They’ll heal in no time. But I’d rather they stay longer. They’re proof of your passion for me, after all," Ferdinand grinned proudly.

"Didn’t it hurt?"

"What do you mean? It felt good," Ferdinand gave her peck before picking up his robe and wearing it. "I won’t let you see them if you keep getting worried for nothing."

He then left her inner chambers before she could say more.

"Fine, since he says it didn’t hurt, then it didn’t," Arabella sighed and got out of bed as well.

She recalled the time she saw Ferdinand’s wings with a huge hole in them.

Even back then, he did not show any pain on his face as if it didn’t hurt at all.

’He did say he has a high tolerance for pain because of his race. And he said he had trained his human body beyond its limits as well.’

Arabella then pushed it to the back of her mind and cleaned up instead.

Knowing Ferdinand, he must have already instructed Alfredo earlier to prepare a meal for them.

Alfredo would likely be knocking on her door in a few minutes.
