Reborn as a Superpower Girl in the 80s
Chapter 1430 Isn’t it Coincidental?
CHAPTER 1430: CHAPTER 1430 ISN’T IT COINCIDENTAL?
The next day, as soon as Luo Qiao arrived at the inpatient department, she asked about the availability of beds for the day.
The head nurse curiously asked, "Director Luo, why are you asking about the beds?"
Luo Qiao didn’t hide anything: "A relative is coming to see a doctor. They’ll probably arrive in Capital City before noon. I just wanted to check so I can have a sense of the situation. I wouldn’t want to cause trouble for you all."
The head nurse chuckled, "Director Luo, you’re always so meticulous."
Just then, the other doctors arrived as well, and they began their routine ward rounds for the day.
A little past ten in the morning, Luo Qiao received a call from Guan Yuqi: "Sis, I’ve already picked up my uncle. We should be at the hospital in about half an hour."
"Alright, I’ll meet you at the main entrance in a bit."
"Sis, no need. We’ll come up and find you."
"I know the hospital better than you do, and it’ll be easier to handle the formalities with me there. We’re all family, no need to stand on ceremony. Plus, if we finish early, we can all grab lunch together."
"Then I’ll trouble you, Sis."
"It’s no trouble. See you in a bit."
"Okay, see you in a bit."
After hanging up, Guan Yuqi arranged for her uncle, aunt, and father to get into the taxi she had booked earlier.
Guan Anshan looked at his daughter and asked, "What did Zheng Lei’s sister say?"
As Guan Yuqi helped her uncle store the luggage and got into the car, she replied, "She said she’ll meet us at the main entrance."
From the back seat, her uncle Guan Anping spoke a little hesitantly, "It feels like we’re causing you so much trouble. I didn’t expect that for me, you’d have to ask someone for a favor and call in some connections."
Guan Yuqi quickly said, "Uncle, don’t say that. You and my dad are real brothers; how could we not step up when something happens?"
Guan Anshan also chimed in promptly, "Your timing couldn’t have been better, you know. The day you called happened to be Yuqi’s first visit to her boyfriend’s house. That’s when I found out that the Director Luo you were asking about is actually Yuqi’s boyfriend’s sister. Talk about fate, huh?"
The aunt, Zhao Dayan, looked at her niece with some excitement: "It really is fate. Anshan is truly lucky to have Yuqi."
Luo Qiao, keeping an eye on the time, wrapped up her tasks and headed downstairs to the hospital’s main entrance.
As she stepped outside, she immediately spotted a taxi pulling up and saw Guan Yuqi sitting inside.
She quickly walked over; since Stone had chosen this girl, it was only right for her to lend a hand and show the Guan family some sincerity.
Guan Yuqi noticed Luo Qiao as well: "Sis, I’ve really troubled you."
Luo Qiao gave a gentle smile: "Don’t mention it."
Guan Yuqi quickly made introductions for everyone: "Sis, this is Dad, and these are my uncle and aunt."
Luo Qiao greeted them, "Hello, I’m Luo Qiao, Zheng Lei’s sister."
Guan Anshan looked at Luo Qiao and said, "We’ve truly brought you trouble."
Luo Qiao smiled slightly, "It’s no trouble at all. We’re all family—let’s go in."
Luo Qiao first brought them to her office, reviewed Guan Anping’s medical records and previous examination results, and then arranged for someone to assist Guan Anshan and Zhao Dayan with the registration procedures.
Left in the office were only Guan Yuqi and Guan Anping.
Luo Qiao said, "Since these scans were just taken a few days ago, there’s no need to repeat the same tests. I’ve reviewed the scans and will schedule your surgery as soon as possible."
To be extra cautious, Luo Qiao checked Guan Anping’s pulse herself and used her Special Ability to examine the condition of the tumor in his brain.
According to hospital procedures, a series of tests would usually be required. However, since these had already been done at the local hospital, Luo Qiao wanted to save them the cost of repeating the tests. She personally verified everything to minimize the risk of any errors.
After confirming, Luo Qiao said, "We can skip most of the tests, but some routine pre-surgery checks still need to be done. If those go smoothly, we’ll schedule the surgery for tomorrow afternoon. The sooner it’s done, the sooner you can rest easy."
Guan Anping hadn’t expected that they would even consider saving him money—not only skipping repeat tests but also arranging the surgery so quickly. He glanced gratefully at his niece and then turned to Luo Qiao, saying, "I can’t thank you enough."
Luo Qiao handed him the medical records and test results: "Keep these safe. In the afternoon, go make copies of these since we’ll need to keep a set on file here."
By the time they were finished, the others who had gone to handle the formalities returned with Guan Anshan and Zhao Dayan.
Glancing at the time, Luo Qiao gave her assistant some instructions before saying to the Guan family, "Let’s go. It’s lunchtime already—let’s have a meal first."
Guan Anshan had already made up his mind that he wouldn’t let Zheng Lei’s sister pay for the meal. After all the help they’d received, this was the least he could do to show his gratitude.
Luo Qiao took them to a nearby branch of ’Jinyuan Garden’ and directly presented a diamond membership card.
The receptionist warmly guided them to a diamond-tier private room. Luo Qiao handed the menu to Guan Yuqi: "I’m not sure about Uncle, Uncle Anping, and Aunt’s preferences—you pick some dishes for everyone."
