The moment Yaeger heard the word "Pentecost," she released her half-charged attack without a second of hesitation.

A towering pillar of fire surged into the sky, roaring with devastating power.

“It’s too late. I am invincible now,” the Tenth Apostle declared with a grim smile as radiant light burst from the fragment in his grasp, undaunted by the oncoming flames.

In an instant, his body expanded, muscles swelling with unnatural strength. Every injury vanished, and his aura intensified into something monstrous.

He slammed into the ground, his feet carving deep cracks into the hardened earth beneath him. By then, the raging wave of fire had already reached him.

Letting out a shout, he swung his massive fist forward. The blow carried more than triple the force of his earlier attacks. His fist tore into the flames, parting the blazing surge cleanly down the middle without resistance.

The force did not stop there. It pushed forward, barreling toward Yaeger in a streak of violent pressure.

“What a pity,” Yaeger thought. One more second would have been enough to end him. But that single second had flipped the battle. Now, she was the one in danger.

Yaeger pushed off the ground and dashed left, narrowly avoiding the brunt of the strike. Before she could recover, a dark shadow fell from above. The transformed Apostle came crashing down, launching a vicious kick with his thickened leg.

Yaeger’s expression darkened. As the pillar-like leg descended toward her, she conjured a barrier in front of her in desperation.

The barrier shattered on impact, proving far too fragile to stop the overwhelming force behind the Apostle’s kick.

"Foolish mortal, die!" he roared. Spinning midair, he unleashed another kick with the intent to crush Yaeger’s skull.

But he needed to land the hit first. Yaeger had already prepared her counter the moment the barrier broke. She sprang back with a light push, narrowly evading the brutal strike.

The Apostle landed with a satisfied grin as his berserk aura surged outward, dark and oppressive enough to swallow the world.

“Good. Struggle more. But I don’t have time to play forever. Here is my prophecy—your head will be mine in five seconds.” With that, he lunged, his clawed hand reaching for Yaeger’s throat.

Yaeger stood still, her expression serious. Instead of dodging, she pulled out a fragment glowing with golden light and whispered softly. "You really are foolish, getting this close again," she said with a radiant smile, clutching the fragment tightly. "Holy Spirit Power."

Her words rang out like a prophecy. A divine force surged from the fragment, freezing the Tenth Apostle midair.

Goosebumps spread across his skin as he watched her fox coat shimmer with golden light. The certainty he once held in victory crumbled in an instant.

‘I forgot she has a shard too.’

It was something he never would have overlooked under normal circumstances. But the pressure of near-death had clouded his judgment. In his desperation to win, he had made the same fatal mistake again.

“This is holy energy at close range. Let’s see if you can survive it.” As her fox coat radiated with divine light, Yaeger struck with both fists, each blow glowing gold.

What followed was another brutal thrashing, worse than before. This time, she unleashed two hundred percent of her Holy Spirit Power. The force twisted the very air around them. Cracks spiderwebbed across the shattered terrain, leaving nothing untouched.

Thunderous booms echoed throughout the village as flashes of golden light lit up the distant sky. At the entrance, the two soldiers flinched and covered their ears, trembling at the sight.

‘What kind of monsters are fighting out there?’ one of them wondered in terror.

‘Please, don’t come this way. Don’t bring that battle here,’ the other prayed silently, overwhelmed by dread.

The thunder and golden bursts lasted less than a minute before fading into silence. Anyone with sharp eyes could have seen a dark figure hurled high into the air. It was the Tenth Apostle, flung skyward by Yaeger's overwhelming force.

“You have nothing left to stop this,” Yaeger said, gathering all her power into Dragonsorch. The blade pulsed with golden light, growing brighter with each passing second.

“Go to heaven.” She raised the sword overhead with both hands, preparing to unleash her most powerful attack.

As the Tenth Apostle reached the peak of his ascent, gravity claimed him once more. His body, recently restored, had been ravaged again by holy energy. Disoriented and dazed, he began to hallucinate. In his mind’s eye, he saw a long river and an old woman standing across from him, waving silently.

An overwhelming sense of danger snapped him back to reality. He turned his gaze toward the source of his dread. His eyes widened in horror, and his twisted lips parted in a scream of panic. “No!”

At that moment, Yaeger brought down her strike. A golden torrent surged upward like a divine river, engulfing the falling Apostle in radiant devastation.

The screams of terror and despair were swallowed by the roaring winds that followed in the wake of destruction. As the golden torrent faded, a charred object dropped from the sky. The Tenth Apostle had been reduced to nothing but ash.

Yaeger moved in a blur, catching the dark fragment just before it could hit the ground. “The second shard is mine.” She examined the slightly larger fragment, a satisfied smile spreading across her face.

‘Irene, oh sweet Irene… just wait for me to return~'

Meanwhile, in the Church of Light within Jade City, Irene lay idle in her room when a shiver ran down her spine. A sense of foreboding crept into her chest. "Definitely not a good day to leave the room," she muttered, before choosing to spend the rest of the day lost in idle thoughts.

After purging the last traces of the virus from the battlefield, Yaeger slipped on a fresh mask and changed out of her torn cloak.

“There’s nothing left to worry about here in Aoma Village. Time to handle the others.” She glanced toward the village gates and spoke quietly to herself.

Twenty minutes later, three Beast Carriages bearing the church’s insignia sped toward neighboring villages, each loaded with containers of the so-called holy water.

Before long, the villages near the docks were echoing with hymns of praise to the goddess.

“Oh, Goddess of Light, I’ve practically become your agent on earth. I’ve earned you a whole flock of believers. I know I sound shameless, but shouldn't I get something for my effort? How about a nice Artifact?” Yaeger muttered as she lay atop the village chief’s roof, gazing up at the wide blue sky.

She was clearly just talking nonsense, yet the system chimed in at that moment.
