There wasn’t much idle talk between them. Jia Yan could tell this Snake Monster felt a subtle fear of him, so he didn’t make things difficult. They nodded to each other and maintained a distance as they flew together toward the Command Star of the Kawai Defense Line.

"Welcome Lord Flame and Lord Jia Yan in triumphal return."

Upon reaching the Command Star, the Great General, whom they had seen in communications, came out to greet them.

The Great General had an appearance very similar to that of humans, which naturally engendered a close sentiment with Jia Yan, thus he was warmly receptive to Jia Yan.

Of course, Jia Yan reciprocated the warmth.

After exchanging pleasantries for a few words, the group of creatures entered a well-fortified building on the Command Star.

"This building is quite good, likely capable of resisting attacks from many Star Space Level and Dignitaries."

"Haha, you flatter us, Lord. Being able to resist Star Space Level and Dignitaries is essentially useless; if those secondary-level beings like the ones before show up, the building is pointless."

The Great General shook his head at Jia Yan with a bitter smile.

Previously, he was extremely confident in the building’s defenses, but after witnessing the external Secondary Level creatures, his confidence had dissipated.

In a secluded place, with only Jia Yan, Flame, and the Great General present, he spoke of the intelligence he had gathered with a hint of astonishment.

While he spoke, he scrutinized Jia Yan’s expression closely. Upon seeing Jia Yan remain unperturbed, he seemed to comprehend something.

"Perhaps when Lord Jia Yan captured that Dignitary, he realized something. Or, as those monsters said, maybe you’ve actually been outside?"

He asked probing further.

"Hehe." Jia Yan shook his head, and then without hiding, confirmed: "Indeed, I have been outside, and to more than one place. I understand even more than you the terrifying aspects of these external forces."

As soon as these words were spoken, not only did the normally reticent Flame stare at him agape, but even the well-prepared Great General was taken aback.

"Turns out Lord Jia Yan has indeed been outside; no wonder you are so powerful." The Great General was shocked for a while before shaking his head with a wry smile, as if finding a justification for Jia Yan’s strength.

"Don’t get it wrong, even outside, strength doesn’t just come from the environment, but rather depends on the individual. However, compared to Orion Arm, there are more Strong Ones outside, and thus broader perspectives, allowing for higher achievements."

In the Orion Arm, there are only two creatures akin to Semi-permanent Star Level beings, and even their true combat power is much weaker compared to ordinary Secondary Level beings outside. Given this situation, it cannot compare to the entire Biochemical Starfield forces.

"Lord Jia Yan is right; our Orion Arm is indeed somewhat isolated now, but largely because we can’t leave. While I don’t know how you managed to go outside, and have no wish for you to reveal the method."

"Because I know that with my strength, going outside might mean swift demise, but I still hope you can bring some elements for strengthening to our Orion Arm. Otherwise, this passive situation of being battered will persist for generations, and wouldn’t that be a tragedy for our Orion Arm?"

Jia Yan didn’t say much, merely nodded.
