Reborn as His Intellectually Disabled Wife
Chapter 356 - 357: Shi Mei Be Careful
CHAPTER 356: CHAPTER 357: SHI MEI BE CAREFUL
Yan City is quite the southern part of the south, the weather being both humid and cold.
Since the opening of Xinxia Country, it had not snowed.
This year, Shi Mei woke up from her sleep and unexpectedly discovered snowflakes drifting outside her window.
The snowflakes were small, just a handful scattered about.
Despite this, it was enough to excite her.
The last time she had seen snow was a few years ago in Imperial City when she had tumbled and had snowball fights in the snow with Shi Lingyan, Ye Tiao, and Tang Jingming, all of them freezing with their noses and ears bright red and painful, yet they all smiled like a bunch of fools.
Shi Mei got up, put on her cotton-padded coat, socks, and shoes, and was about to go out when Aunt Chen came over.
Seeing Shi Mei dressed like this, she exclaimed, "It’s so cold outside, and you’re dressed so lightly!"
Shi Mei looked down.
A cotton jacket over a cashmere turtleneck sweater, she even wore thermal pants, how was that little?
Aunt Chen pulled her back, took out a knitted cap that had been treasured for a long time, and put it on her, "I knew it would be cold this winter, I made this hat especially for you, see, isn’t it pretty?"
The knitted cap also had rabbit fur inside, securely covering her little ears, with two strands of yarn hanging with balls on the sides, and two rabbit ears on the top swinging with her movements.
Aunt Chen looked at her outfit, her heart almost melted, and she brought her a mirror, "Our little junior sister has turned into a little rabbit!"
Shi Mei couldn’t help but laugh, playfully tugging at the little balls, cheerfully turning in a circle. Then, she dashed out like a gust of wind.
Aunt Chen was startled and hurriedly chased after her, "Scarf!"
Shi Mei shouted back, "Don’t need it!"
Aunt Chen, holding the red scarf, chased after her, drained, "This child."
Uncle Yang came over with a chuckle, "You always treat her like a child, she’s already in her twenties."
"She is a child, how can I not treat her like one," Aunt Chen, still holding the scarf, chased after her again, shouting, "Shi Mei, come here!"
"No, no!" Shi Mei jumped out of the courtyard, reaching out to catch the snowflakes descending from the sky.
They were small, turning to water as soon as they touched her palm, cold and icy.
Aunt Chen exclaimed, suddenly remembering she had made her a pair of gloves, "Put on the gloves!"
Shi Mei felt just the right warmth on her body, even catching the snow didn’t feel cold; if she really wore the scarf and gloves, she would definitely sweat.
Shi Mei hummed, turning around and running off.
Aunt Chen followed her, and Uncle Yang, unable to help but laugh, followed Aunt Chen, saying, "Let her play if she wants to, if she gets cold, she’ll come back to put on clothes."
"What if she catches pneumonia?" Aunt Chen, looking unconvinced, continued, "Wait a sec!"
Shi Mei ignored her, glancing unintentionally and spotting an SUV parked outside the old house.
Here, all were old mansions left from the last century, inhabited by distinguished figures from the last century, so cars coming and going were not surprising.
Shi Mei didn’t care and walked along the roadside, scraping the snow from the greenery.
A thin layer, disappearing as soon as it touched her hand.
Suddenly, a line of poetry flashed through her mind, followed by a wonderful melody.
"Shi Mei!" Aunt Chen was still doggedly chasing her; Shi Mei turned back, grinned, and ran off cheerfully.
Aunt Chen was infuriated, saying, "Come here and wear the scarf!"
"No!" Shi Mei kept running, but suddenly, it was as if her blood surged to her head, her body tensed up.
She saw the SUV, which had ignored the wide road next to it and was speeding straight towards her!
So fast, it left no room for escape!
Aunt Chen’s face drastically changed, "Watch out!"
