CHAPTER 187: RAPHAEL WANTS TO HELP.

[Would you like me to lend my assistance?]

’I’m listening.’

From nowhere, Dorian had pulled out a pen and paper, more than ready to start jotting down whatever the system would say in that moment.

[Understood.]

[I have acquired multiple methods, but I will begin with the first.]

Dorian was, of course, listening as intensively as he could. Even though in his former world he had managed a lot of projects for the company, his area of expertise was nowhere near something like this.

As such, the system might be the only way he could make something out of the oil discovery.

[First, the Oil observed has a few properties different from the crude oil in your former world. This is more mana-based due to the nature of this world. As such, magic is the first step in ensuring progress with this method.]

[Separating the oil into three parts: Gasoline, Kerosene, and Bitumen, a waterproof binding agent for construction.]

Dorian jotted it down, his eyes focused on the notes now as the system continued.

Flare had woken up and was now trying to snuggle close to his master after seeing that Dorian was awake and fine.

[With this method, you would have three other raw materials for different uses within the kingdom.]

Dorian placed the pen at the bottom of his lips.

’How exactly do you expect me to figure out how to separate the agents? Is there a method or a machine needed to be built?’

[All Alchemists in this world are capable of performing this feat. All that is needed is for a single Alchemist to perform a separation spell, and it would be easy to accomplish in a week.]

’So the agents will fully separate after a week of using the separation spell? I see...’

If that was the case, then Dorian knew he could just easily have the spell transferred into a black magic circle, and there would be no need for an Alchemist every time they needed to perform a separation.

[The second step is to convert it all into a machine capable of generating electricity as you have planned. Using the fuel agent, it is possible.]

Dorian’s eyes lit up a bit at the information.

He had planned to use the old method by building a massive wheel in the ocean and generating electricity through that, but if the system could give a better idea, then he was by all means going with that.

[Power Generator.]

Right in front of Dorian’s eyes, the system began spamming him with blueprints of what the machine would look like.

It was unlike anything he could have ever thought of.

Rather than using water as the base and more important unit, the refined oil—the gasoline—acted as a replacement while the water was just a substitute.

And after seeing that the crude oil was not something that could be depleted, instead multiplying itself in order not to run out, Dorian realized it might not be that bad of an idea.

Now, rather than using it for only light, he could build it anywhere. It was literally a money-grabbing business if he did it right.

The grin on Dorian’s face widened even more as the thought of how much he could make continuously played in his mind.

His grin turned into low, evil laughter, but loud enough to wake Lili up, her face etched with surprise.

Then again, it didn’t take her long to understand why he was laughing that way; it had to be money, or perhaps he had found a way to use someone.

During his laughter, a sudden knock on the door echoed.

"Dragon Monarch, are you awake?"

Dorian paused and immediately looked towards the door. That had to be Revina; only she would call him such a name.

"Yes. You can come in."

Not even a second later, Revina opened the door and peeped into the room.

The rest of her body was still outside, but Dorian could clearly see her eyes staring directly at him.

This made him chuckle a bit. "What are you doing? I said you can come in."

"R-right, my apologies."

Revina walked into the room and closed the door.

Her face was red but also calm, rivaling that of Maria.

Before she fully walked into the room, she glanced at the bed where she could see the Dragon Monarch’s pet and then right back at Dorian.

"What brings you here? Were you that worried about me?" Dorian uttered with a smug look on his face, his way of trying to tease her.

Revina, still with the calm look on her face, replied as she moved closer.

"I would be lying if I said I wasn’t. Seeing that Lady Seraphina had woken up from her sleep, I could not help but come to see how you were doing."

She stopped right in front of him.

"I did so without telling them. I know they would make a fuss about it."

Dorian leaned back with both his hands. "I can tell she is fine. I’ll see her once I step out of the room. Just make sure she eats and drinks water."

"Do you not plan on coming down soon?"

"Yeah, I guess so. I need to work on the project that will be happening in the Red District. Can’t afford to make any mistakes."

"I see."

Without uttering a single word right after, Revina went to her knees and rested her hands on her lap.

The fact she was dressed in a maid outfit made it even weirder.

"What are you doing?" Dorian paused. His pet on the bed even leaned forward to have a look.

"I want to watch you while you work. Is there a problem?"

"Look, I understand that you believe I am the Dragon Mo—"

"You are the Dragon Monarch," Revina chimed in with a serious look on her face.

"Right. But you should not be kneeling down so freely as a King. What if your subjects were to walk in on you?"

Revina replied without any hint of hesitation.

"I do not mind. My loyalty is not something I wish to hide. Let them see that the Great King is nothing compared to the one who slayed a hundred gods."
