"Raziel, contact that group tomorrow and tell them we will sponsor them if they can provide us with some land. I will pay them extra if they can hurry up with their plan."

Layla suddenly felt cheerful as she gave Raziel the orders.

"Are you sure you want to do that, miss? If we give that group too much support, then-"

Raziel trailed off, not wanting to finish the sentence. But Layla already knew what he was going to say.

"Hmm, somehow, the idea of this place being engulfed in flames of rebellion does not sound that bad. Those who use their powers for evil need to be punished. Don't you think that as well, Mary?"

Layla turned toward her maid when she asked this question, but Mary looked excited to hear her speak about rebellion.

"Oh yeah! Totally! We should punish anyone who is using their power to cause trouble. Raziel, it is an important step in our training."

Mary was excited at the notion of a rebellion and being able to do whatever she wanted. But Raziel did not have enough courage to point it out. He could just sigh and let his master speak to him like that.

"I understand. I will obey your orders and head out the first thing in the morning."

Raziel offered, and that was what he did.

He was gone by the time Layla opened her eyes and started to get ready.

"Hmmm hmm"

Mary hummed the whole time, indicating her happiness with what had happened. Layla did not even have to ask her about this; she already knew that her maid was extremely excited about the rebellion.

"Young miss, you are the best. I knew that sticking with you was the right decision for me. You do not let things go boring for me."

Mary praised Layla for the things she could not control. So, the younger did not dignify her maid with an answer. She just sighed before she got herself ready.

She had a supply of age-changing potions in stock that she planned to use today.

After all, these people were varying kids from Duke Lockhart's household. They were not ready for a savvy businesswoman who would keep them on their toes.

"Mary, would you like to have a potion as well? It will age you quite a bit."

Layla handed the potion over to the demoness with a curious look on her face. She wanted to see how her potion would affect a demon.

Usually, only a handful of potions worked on demons and other races. Every race had a special ingredient to be added to the mix, and a different kind of magic worked as a binding factor.

That was also why universal potions were impossible to get their hands on and why Layla's skin-care potion had been such a hit despite being cheap - it worked for almost all skin types. (Scales were an exception, but Layla was working on it)

"I would be glad to try this potion."

The demoness drank the potion, but Layla was the one who felt dizzy. Her body felt hot, and she clutched her chest to get rid of it.

But somehow, the burning sensation inside her body worsened over time.

Layla had no idea what happened to her, but she was well aware that it was not the system's fault or a sickness.

'I-I need to check my inventory. Maybe there is something in there-'

Layla opened the system window, and her eyes went wide as soon as they fell on the dragon's egg.

It was pulsing and shining, almost like it was about to break apart.

But her instincts told her that it had happened sometime before. She was just feeling the pre-bonding symptoms that made her feel things the bonded dragon inside that egg was feeling.

'Fuck, this is so irritating, but I knew that this was going to happen anyway. I have no solution but to let this happen and endure it.'

Raising and helping a dragon be born safe were not easy processes. And for someone like Layla, who had a broken core, it was even more difficult to endure.

The dragon was trying to hold her core together, which hurt it. But it was a hurt she could endure for her future.

"Miss, are you alright? Would you like me to bring something to you? Perhaps a doctor or someone like that-"

Mary asked in a tense voice.

She sounded almost worried for Layla, and her concerned voice surprised her.

A small smile formed on Layla's face before she wiped it off and decided to wipe her forehead.

"A doctor will not help. The dragon egg shows signs of waking up, which are the side effects. I can endure them, so you do not need to interfere."

Layla assured with a small smile, but her maid did not look convinced.

But since Layla had spoken herself, there was not much Mary could do about this. She backed off but decided to watch her miss for now.

The burning feeling was gone by the time Layla decided to head out.

Raziel had sent him a message to tell her he found what she had been looking for.

Now, all Layla needed to do was take the potion that aged her up, and she would be ready to face the music.

'This is going to be fun. I am ready to tear that annoying Minister apart. He won't know what hit him when I finish with him.'

Layla was sure about herself, and with her people by her side, she would not lose.

Minister Calam could try all he wanted, but he won't be able to keep Layla out of the Port for long.

It was a busy day at the port, and everyone was busy doing what they did best. Not a single thing was out of place in that busy market.

At such a time, a rumor began to take root before it spread across the port like fire – revolution was headed their way.'
