Gui Jun was the first to express his discontent. He’d been cooped up like a monk for three months over there and was finally out. Naturally, he wanted to have some fun before heading back.

"Yeah, Sis, that place was stifling for us brothers," Zhang Yuchen, known for being the most straightforward of the group, added with a smile. "Plus, Yu Zifeng and Shangguan Qing are preparing for the festival. Yu Zifeng also wants to win back what he lost last time. How could we possibly go back now?"

"That’s right! I’ve prepared some excellent things for Shangguan Qing to enjoy. No matter what, we need to indulge before heading back. Sis, isn’t it great having so many brothers accompany you to your college entrance exams?" Yu Zifeng’s phoenix-like eyes flashed. He shot Shangguan You a flirtatious glance and said with a smile.

"Great? How could it not be? Having so many handsome brothers accompany me is enough to make others die of envy. How could it be anything but great?" Shangguan You’s lips twitched a few times before she slowly replied.

Where they had parked their car, a red sports car suddenly WHOOSHED to a halt right in front of it. The door opened, and three figures stepped out.

Seeing the two people who emerged from the back seat, Shangguan You’s brows knitted furiously. Even Shangguan Qing’s expression stiffened for a moment before returning to normal.

"Elder Sister, I truly didn’t expect to meet you here. This is wonderful!" Shangguan Rou’s sweet voice rang out. She immediately reached for Shangguan You’s hand. "Elder Sister? Brother Qing, in our family, it seems to be just you and me, doesn’t it? We don’t have any other brothers, do we?"

Shangguan You sidestepped her touch, sweeping a cold glance at Shangguan Rou before turning to Shangguan Qing. "That’s right. Who are these people, brazenly claiming to be relatives?"

Their words struck Shangguan Rou’s face like a stinging slap. Her expression froze, and she looked at the two with a hint of grievance. "Shangguan Qing, Shangguan You, no matter what, Rourou is your sister! Is this how you speak to her?" Li Meisu interjected. She glanced towards Yu Zifeng and the others, having intended to act demure, but Shangguan You had utterly humiliated them the moment she arrived.

"I don’t have a sister," Shangguan You stated flatly.

"My only sister is You," Shangguan Qing added, both of them glancing disdainfully at Shangguan Rou. They would never forget how the Li Family had treated the Shangguan Family that day, nor would they forget how Li Wanying had divorced their father. In such a crisis, all the mother and daughter had thought to do was to flee for their own safety. Such people didn’t deserve to be part of the Shangguan Family. Besides, Father himself had said Shangguan Rou wasn’t his child. Since the Li Family had already had a falling out with the Shangguan Family, there was no longer any need for pretense.

"Brother Qing, Elder Sister, I know I did wrong that day, but I had no choice! If I hadn’t done it, our whole family would have been destroyed. Mother and I stayed outside so we could find a way to save you all! I even went back many times, but the guards wouldn’t let us in. I truly had no way... Li Wanying had certainly trained Shangguan Rou well, passing on all her manipulative arts.

"Cousin," Shangguan Rou said sweetly to Li Meisu beside her, "I’ll head home with Elder Sister first. I’ll come back with her in a couple of days to get my things." After speaking, she once again moved to take Shangguan You’s hand intimately.

"Of course, go on. Take good care of Daddy and Grandma at home, understand?" Li Meisu replied.

"I know, Cousin. I’ll take good care of Daddy and Grandma. Don’t worry," Shangguan Rou assured her.

Watching the two prattle on as if no one else was there, Shangguan You’s lips curled into a sarcastic smile. Are all members of the Li Family this foolish? Were Li Wanying and her Li family relatives imprisoned without their knowledge, or did they already know but were still maintaining this facade of serenity?

"Excuse me, the Shangguan Family doesn’t welcome outsiders. And I don’t have a sister."

"If I remember correctly," Shangguan Qing interjected coldly, "Second Uncle is already divorced. And it was personally sanctioned by both Chairmen. Shangguan Qing then linked arms with Shangguan You, leading her away from the group. Even looking at them any longer felt disgusting.

"Whether or not you have Shangguan family blood is questionable. Besides, you were the ones who initiated the divorce; it has nothing to do with our Shangguan Family. That’s what you yourselves said. If you disagree, you can ask your ’great’ mother. I recall you were there that day too, weren’t you?" Shangguan You sneered.

With a THUD, the door of the red sports car was pushed open, and a tall man emerged. The man had narrow, fox-like eyes, was roughly twenty-five or twenty-six years old, dressed in casual gray attire, and bore some resemblance to Li Meisu. He was affectionately cradling a tall woman, the two of them pressed closely together.

Looking at her ample, bouncing chest, Shangguan You couldn’t help but wonder, Is this a woman or a prized cow?

"Shangguan Qing, long time no see?" The newcomer squeezed the woman in his arms sharply, then raised an eyebrow at Shangguan Qing’s group and greeted them with a smile.

"It’s quite a surprise to see Shangguan Qing, Yu Zifeng, Zhang Yuchen, and Gui Jun all together, coexisting so peacefully," the man remarked, his voice carrying a hint of delicate charm as he nodded politely to the group.

"Li Ruizhe, you actually decided to come back?" Yu Zifeng stepped forward, his tone equally teasing. "Surprising you’d give up the endless fragrant beauties and countless opportunities for wealth abroad, truly remarkable." He was the Li Family’s prominent young master, a business genius who preferred commerce over power—an anomaly within the Li household, and a notorious playboy.
