Reborn: I Won't Chase You Anymore, School Prince
Chapter 471: Weren’t You Going to Settle Scores?
CHAPTER 471: CHAPTER 471: WEREN’T YOU GOING TO SETTLE SCORES?
From Warren Prescott’s perspective, he could clearly see Ashley Shaw staring coldly at a girl in a white blouse and pleated skirt, her face expressionless.
The girl had her back to him, making it hard to see her face, but she stood with her hands on her hips like a shrew, angrily pointing at Ashley Shaw’s nose.
Earlier, Assistant Lowell had come out with Warren Prescott, just in case something happened, ready to act on his behalf.
Now, seeing someone barging into the private room and arguing with Ashley Shaw, he was about to rush over immediately.
However, just as he was about to step forward, Warren Prescott extended his arm to stop him.
"No rush, let’s watch first."
Assistant Lowell looked at Warren Prescott puzzled, "Mr. Prescott Jr., aren’t you worried that Miss Shaw might suffer?"
Warren Prescott chuckled.
"Suffer? Look closely, who’s getting flustered?"
Assistant Lowell looked again and noticed that although Ashley was the one being scolded, her demeanor remained calm and composed.
On the contrary, the one doing the scolding seemed to have exhausted all her energy and was on the verge of collapsing.
"Who is this girl?" Warren Prescott asked him.
Assistant Lowell shook his head, indicating he didn’t know.
However, the two quickly deduced from the girl’s yelling what had happened.
The girl’s father was likely an official, and it seemed that because of Ashley Shaw, he was taken away by regulators and hadn’t returned home yet.
Today, the girl had reached out to connections to arrange a dinner at this place.
It happened that they had booked this very private room.
Unexpectedly, just as plans were made, upon arrival, she was told that the private room had been reserved by someone else.
So the girl knocked on the door to ask if they could let her have the room, only to find that the person inside was the very Ashley Shaw who had sent her father "inside".
The girl completely lost her temper, shouting at Ashley Shaw, accusing her of doing it on purpose.
Saying that one time wasn’t enough, she wanted to harm her a second time.
Warren Prescott glanced at Assistant Lowell when he heard about the "private room".
Assistant Lowell quickly explained, "For the restaurant you chose, when I called to ask, there were no private rooms available... so I used a few tricks to clear this one out."
Warren Prescott gave him a stern look, expressionless.
That look was exactly like Warren Prescott from before, causing cold sweat to drip down Assistant Lowell’s back.
However, fortunately, Warren Prescott wasn’t really angry with him, only saying, "Be more careful with room bookings in the future. There are plenty of restaurants; we don’t have to insist on this one."
This was different from the Warren Prescott of the past.
The past Warren Prescott didn’t care if the restaurant he wanted to go to had reservations or not.
Very soon, the two had heard the full story.
Assistant Lowell, afraid of Warren Prescott misunderstanding Ashley Shaw, hurriedly whispered, "Mr. Prescott Jr., Miss Shaw isn’t the type to bully others. There must be a reason."
Warren Prescott smirked slightly, "Nonsense, if she were that kind of person, how would I have liked her back then? I still trust my own judgment."
"Haha, you’re right."
He simply hadn’t mentioned "Rosalind Lynch" to Mr. Prescott Jr., or he wouldn’t have dared to say he trusted his own judgment.
Seeing more and more people gathering at the private room entrance to watch, Assistant Lowell couldn’t help but ask, "Should we go over now?"
Warren Prescott said, "No hurry."
He was very curious about how Ashley Shaw would handle it.
The person he liked shouldn’t just be good-looking, right?
So he wanted to see how Ashley Shaw would deal with this situation.
But moments later, he still instructed Assistant Lowell, "Go find out what exactly is going on."
Assistant Lowell thought to himself: As expected, he still suspects her of bullying others.
He had much confidence in Ashley Shaw and secretly vowed to prove Warren Prescott wrong, heading off to investigate immediately.
Although he didn’t know who the girl was, reservations required information at the front desk, so he wouldn’t take long to check the reservation number.
Meanwhile, Ashley Shaw appeared to have had enough of the scolding, and just before Ariana Grant couldn’t resist kicking the person out, she spoke expressionlessly, "Noelle York, you say I harmed you. Don’t you know who’s really at fault?"
Noelle York’s eyes flared with anger.
"Nonsense! Of course, it’s you who harmed me! You’ve ruined my whole family!"
"Oh? By your whole family, do you mean your father? If your father were truly innocent, would he still be in there for so many days without being released?"
Noelle York immediately paled with these words, as she already felt guilty.
"You..."
Ariana Grant finally found an opportunity to speak.
"What do you mean ’you’? It’s your family harming themselves! We haven’t even mentioned your abuses of power that damaged Ashley’s reputation, yet here you are shouting. Anyone who doesn’t know might think you’re the victims!"
Noelle York’s face turned as black as the bottom of a pot.
"Shut up! What business is this of yours?"
Ariana Grant snorted twice, saying, "Ashley is my sister, so her business is my business. You tell me how it’s none of my business?"
"You—"
"Miss York!" Ashley Shaw’s patience had run out, and she said sternly, "You claim I harmed you once and now want to harm you a second time... Then you should know that if I wanted, I could harm you a third time. So you’d better leave now, before I get the idea to harm you a third time."
Noelle York clenched her index finger fiercely.
"You really did it on purpose! Today, you deliberately snatched my room, leaving me—"
"Who said she snatched this room?"
A cold, low voice sounded from behind her, nearly startling Noelle York.
She turned reflexively, seeing a handsome, tall man standing just half a meter away.
The man was exceptionally handsome, with delicate features that weren’t feminine but rather exuded an inexplicable pressure, as if the surrounding air dropped ten degrees, sending a shiver down her spine.
"Who... who are you..."
The newcomer was Warren Prescott himself.
He raised his eyebrow and said, "Didn’t you just say she snatched your room? Unfortunately, it was me who took this room."
Assistant Lowell then stepped forward, saying, "Miss, this room was reserved by us. We specifically invited Miss Shaw here for a meal today. You’ve wronged an innocent person; we are the real ’villains.’ If you have anything to say, say it to us."
Warren Prescott glanced sideways at Assistant Lowell, thinking that he was speaking too much.
This was his moment to rescue the beauty, not for his assistant to become the hero.
Assistant Lowell immediately realized from Warren Prescott’s look, and retreated a step.
Only then did Warren Prescott redirect his gaze back to Noelle York.
Just moments ago, Assistant Lowell had found out the whole story and relayed it to him.
He had no goodwill towards Noelle York.
"Aren’t you here to settle the score? The real person who took your room is here, you can start settling the score."
