Reborn in the 1980s: Recapture My Devoted Husband
Chapter 311 - 310: The Guilt of Shen Boxu and His Wife
CHAPTER 311: CHAPTER 310: THE GUILT OF SHEN BOXU AND HIS WIFE
"Your Saozi tried many methods, but there’s no way. Some kids are just like this, maybe one day he’ll just turn around by himself."
Han Yi and Lin Wan watched Little Daming for a while, and the more Lin Wan looked, the more she liked him. She couldn’t help but want to hold him.
After sitting for a while, Han Yi said he wanted to visit Aunt Jin’s house. Lin Wan simply carried Little Daming, who was sleeping, out with her.
The two of them carried two cans and a box of malted milk powder and went to Aunt Jin’s house.
Unexpectedly, Uncle Jin didn’t go to set up a stall today; he was cleaning the house. Recently he earned some money and was preparing to tidy up the room on the west side, to expand the pastry processing area, making it more convenient and clean.
Han Yi stayed to help Uncle Jin, while Lin Wan held Little Daming and chatted with Aunt Jin in the yard.
It’s all mason’s work, using cement. Uncle Jin and Aunt Jin had been working on it all day, now just finishing up the odds and ends.
"I went to your house last time and saw your kitchen was so clean, so I came back to discuss with Uncle Jin to also renovate here."
After a while, Tan Aixiang came back and seeing Han Yi and his wife there, she quickly went to the market to buy some meat.
At six o’clock, the elder brother also came back from work to help Uncle Jin and the others.
With many hands, the work was done in no time.
Little Daming woke up at this time and was a bit fussy as if he wanted to cry. Perhaps he was hungry, so Lin Wan quickly handed the child over to the Saozi.
In the evening, Aunt Jin wanted them to stay for dinner and made a big pot of chicken and noodle pieces.
Han Yi and Lin Wan didn’t stay as the Saozi was already preparing a meal on the other side, and the elder brother invited Uncle Jin and Aunt Jin to join them for dinner at their place, which they didn’t agree to.
However, at dinner time, Aunt Jin brought over a basin of chicken and noodle pieces for them.
Lin Wan had a small bowl, and it tasted really good.
"Your Aunt Jin is best at this. Xiao Yi also loves her cooking. If you ever want to eat, just come over and ask her to make it for you," Grandma chuckled twice.
Asking Aunt Jin to cook for her made her feel embarrassed, thinking she should just secretly learn from Aunt Jin later.
"Xiao Yi, this toast is for you. For the house matters, we really owe it to you and Xiao Wan for not minding. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even know what to do."
"Elder brother, please don’t say that. It’s how it should be. No matter how we move, we’re still family."
At the dining table, Shen Boxu finally pressed Han Yi about that night, knowing how Han Yi felt when Lin Wan moved out.
The two brothers drank while catching up on all the conversations that had piled up over these days.
Fortunately, there were no hard feelings, and only then did Shen Boxu and his wife feel at ease.
Lin Wan didn’t dare let Han Yi drink too much. Soon after, she planned to go home with Mom.
She whispered a reminder, and Han Yi actually didn’t drink much more.
Before leaving, Lin Wan reminded Saozi about Grandma’s nighttime herbal bath.
"We’re taking care of it. Your elder brother prepares it for Grandma every night. We haven’t missed a day. I’ve been meaning to go to your place to ask you, hasn’t the weather changed? I was thinking if we should stop for now. It’s too cold at night, I’m afraid Grandma might catch a cold."
Lin Wan had thought about this too. It’s said that this illness tends to flare up in winter, and it’s better to have a soak in winter, but if Grandma really got sick from the cold, it’d be a problem.
Elderly people are most afraid of getting sick in winter.
"If it really can’t be done, let’s stop for now. As long as the plaster and medicine aren’t stopped, it should be fine. Continue again when the weather warms up next year."
"That’s what I was thinking too."
It was already past eight o’clock when Lin Wan and Han Yi left Grandma’s house. The shop was buzzing with business when they arrived.
