According to Li Yitian, Sun Ming studied architecture but, instead of building houses, ended up doing interior design.

Ye Qian’s project was the first they completed independently after forming the company.

Even though Ye Qian’s place wasn’t very large, Sun Ming was extremely dedicated, staying on-site almost every day.

Ye’s mother noticed that Ye Qian was spacing out more frequently.

"Yiyi, is Qianqian in love?"

Ye’s mother didn’t tell Ye Fu because she was worried he might bluntly ask Ye Qian and cause trouble.

But she felt uneasy, so she talked to Gu Yi about it. After all, the two sisters-in-law got along well, and maybe Qianqian wasn’t comfortable sharing it with her parents but would share with Gu Yi.

"I haven’t asked Qianqian about this. Mom, did something happen?"

Gu Yi was puzzled by Ye’s mother’s inquiry.

She spent most of her time in class, and her interactions with Ye Qian mostly occurred at the dinner table.

But during those times, everyone chatted together, and she didn’t notice any changes in Ye Qian.

She just felt that Ye Qian’s complexion had improved greatly since she first arrived.

"She’s been zoning out a lot at home recently, and sometimes smiles to herself. I think she must be in love."

The more Ye’s mother thought about it, the more convinced she became.

"Has Qianqian been in contact with anyone recently?"

Ye’s mother quickly came up with a good excuse.

The next day, after Ye Qian left the house.

Ye’s mother cleaned up the house, then went out to buy some fruit.

She also bought some buns and carried them to Ye Qian’s shop.

Since Ye Qian’s shop had a glass door, Ye’s mother deliberately looked through it.

She indeed saw Ye Qian talking to a man.

And they seemed to be having a pleasant conversation.

Upon closer inspection, she realized it was Sun Ming.

Sun Ming wasn’t strikingly handsome at first glance, but he gave off a comfortable and reliable vibe.

If it were Sun Ming, Ye’s mother would be quite happy for Ye Qian to be with him.

She smiled, opened the door, and walked in.

Ye Qian and Sun Ming heard the voice and saw Ye’s mother had arrived.

"Thank you, Auntie. I was just getting hungry, so I won’t be polite."

Ye’s mother, hearing Sun Ming’s words, beamed joyfully.

She also invited the workers to come over and have some food.

Everyone thanked Ye’s mother and, after washing their hands, gathered around.

Sun Ming didn’t just start eating; he first handed one to Ye’s mother.

Then he gave one to Ye Qian.

Ye Qian accepted it, the two exchanged glances, and smiled in sync.

Ye’s mother observed this and was pretty sure these two had something going on.

She chose not to mention it openly.

Once everyone had eaten almost enough, and seeing it was getting late, Ye’s mother spoke.

"Sun Ming, it’s hard work for you here. Auntie will head back to prepare lunch, come over with Qianqian for lunch at home."

Ye’s mother invited directly.

"Thank you, Auntie, but I have to go discuss a project elsewhere shortly, so I can’t make it for lunch this time. I hope another chance comes to taste Auntie’s cooking."

While Sun Ming spoke, he kept glancing at Ye Qian.

In truth, he was quite eager to go, not just for the meal.

Before leaving, Ye’s mother bid Sun Ming farewell.

"Alright, see you next time, Auntie."

"I’ll be going now, okay?"

Ye Qian quietly said to Sun Ming as her mother turned away.

"Sure, I’ll come over again in the afternoon."

Sun Ming said as he waved at Ye Qian.

Ye Qian nodded with a blush and hurried to catch up with her mom.

"Mom, what do you think of Sun Ming?"

Ye Qian hooked her arm around her mother’s and asked.

"He’s nice. Even better if he were my son-in-law."

As soon as Ye’s mother finished speaking, Ye Qian’s face turned even redder.

"Mom, I knew you’d notice. I was planning to wait until we’re more stable before telling you."

Ye Qian was aware that her family was anxious about her matters.

So she intended to wait until she and Sun Ming were more certain before telling them.

Otherwise, if they didn’t work out, it would have made her family happy for nothing.

"Your idea is right. After all, you and Sun Ming haven’t known each other long. You should tell your sister-in-law to ask Li Yitian since they are friends, and he might know more."

Ye’s mother felt it was more prudent to let Gu Yi find out.

Although Ye Qian knew Sun Ming was a good person, she didn’t mind her sister-in-law asking around to reassure the family.
