Actually, it wasn’t a chance encounter; Gu Juan had purposely waited for her by the roadside.

She got into the transformer factory purely on her own merit, mostly thanks to the cram sessions Gu Lingling gave her before the exams, but all of it was the result of legitimate hard work.

Someone like Gu Juan, who is single-mindedly taking the crooked path, even though Zhao Jingmiao isn’t particularly smart, she knows that such a path won’t get far.

"That Zheng Peng is an idiot," Yao Jingsong said disdainfully, "You guys better stay away from him at the transformer factory, he’s a fool who’s now treating Gu Juan like an ancestor."

His buddies are all secretly laughing at Zheng Peng behind his back.

Only he treats Gu Juan like a treasure.

Though Zhao Jingmiao hadn’t done as well as Gu Lingling and Hao Lianlian in the tests, she made it to the interview, and the workshop she was assigned to was good. Most importantly, she could learn skills, and the wage was slightly higher than other workshops.

Meanwhile, Hao Lianlian successfully entered the accounting department as she wished.

"Don’t worry, I know what to do," Zhao Jingmiao said with a smile, nodding.

Just do her job well, she didn’t believe Gu Juan’s influence could reach that far.

"Right, let’s go celebrate at home." Gu Lingling smiled, linking arms with Zhao Jingmiao, "And you, stop playing with your buddies all day, you need to collect yourself."

In the repair workshop, he could now handle things well; he was much better than those newcomers. Now, his master even let him deal with some minor issues on the cars himself.

For some reason, she just couldn’t stop worrying about this younger brother of hers.

"Got it, you’re such a nag," Yao Jingsong ran off impatiently.

"Honestly, knowing you two are twins, but if not, one would think you’re much older than Baobao," Zhao Jingmiao chuckled, "Baobao is doing quite well now."

"Yeah, I know that."

But she still felt a bit uneasy inside.
