CHAPTER 273: SHE ACCEPTED LOVE LETTERS FROM OTHERS

Ella surmised that whatever work Adrian was out for was dangerous.

In the next few days, Adrian neither texted nor called, hence confirming her doubts.

But soon, Ella shifted her focus to the matters at hand.

She continued her workout sessions, both morning and evening ones as instructed by Adrian before.

While she continued preparing for her exams, Ella also continued recording herself while using the products from ’Lilac’.

From those videos, she uploaded small clips on her social media.

In fact, Ella found the products rather pleasant. Because they were made from minimal yet high impact ingredients, just as per her suggestion, the skincare felt light yet refreshing.

And she could feel the effects on her face that appeared plumper than usual.

And apparently, there were many of Ella’s followers who shared similar thoughts as her.

One day before her exams, Ella was reading the comments.

After tagging the company, Ella put her phone down and stretched her arms.

Looking at the Mathematics book, she groaned a bit in her heart. To think that they made this first paper...

Groaning and sighing, Ella was about to pick it up again when suddenly, a thought crossed her mind.

She straightened up and walked in front of the tall mirror before lifting her duck-printed top.

Her waist had mostly shrunken, except for a little fluff here and there that did not trouble her as much. And her delicate curves were in full glory.

As Ella looked at her reflection, her eyes turned red.

In her previous life, her rapid weight gain and obese body had led her to depression along with many other factors.

Thinking about weight loss? It was an unachievable dream, a mountain she could never climb.

When Ella went to the kitchen, Bertha followed her. Bertha was bewildered when she saw the girl fluttering about the kitchen like a butterfly, "Miss Yu... didn’t you say you’d study all night?"

"We can forget about it," Ella waved.

"F-Forget? But the Second Master asked us to not disturb you during your studies..."

"Miss Yu, if you need something, just tell me. I will have it arranged by the chef," Bertha wiped her invisible sweat.

But Ella simply beamed, "Don’t let any of the staff members sleep early today. I will bake brownies for everyone tonight!"

And later that night rows upon rows of servants in the eve mansion had a fancy styled brownie, specially prepared by Ella.

The servants like Bertha who had had to deal with Ella’s shenanigans before were almost in tears seeing how far they’d come.

Riri and Lala, the two little members had dishes of their liking, an exquisite bone and a pan fried fish.

Meanwhile, Ella clicked a picture of her brownie and sent it to Adrian who had not been online for a few days in a row: [Baby, see the things you are missing out on. Do you feel regret now?]

As usual, the Imperial University had a toxic way of scheduling exams. There was no gap between the papers.

And on particular days, there were two papers. So in a matter of five days, the exams were over.

On the last day of exams, Kade dodged a horde of girls who rushed towards him with gifts.

They had stopped themselves for a long time but realizing that their Imperial God would graduate and no longer grace them with his breath, they could barely restrain themselves.

Just as Kade was about to reach Ruby, he spotted her surrounded by a bunch of guys. And girls too...

Ruby had her usual frosty face. And the people who surrounded her were all at a one-hand distance from her as if there was some invisible barrier between them.

"Ella... Only she can keep me safe during this crisis..." Just as Kade took a turn, he froze.

At a little distance, Ella stood. A long queue of guys gathered in front of her with flashy pink letters in their hands. But that was not all.

There were a few girls scattered around her like flower petals too.

The whole scene looked like a flower arrangement.

And most importantly... Unlike him and Ruby, Ella was not even avoiding those people.

Very gracefully and absolutely shamelessly, she was accepting the gifts and love letters.

A glint flickered across Kade’s eyes and he immediately pulled out his phone.

By the time Ella escaped the crowd and walked to Kade, the guy was looking at his phone, smiling evilly.

"What’s going on?"

Kade put his phone in his pocket and glanced at the girl whose arms were full of gifts, "You really took those?"

Ella shrugged, "They mocked me for months. I deserve some compensation."

"You..."

"_" Kade had no words. He had never seen somebody so petty in his entire life.

"Why are you hiding here?"

"Shhh..." Kade pointed at the group of girls who were looking for him in the distance.

Ella shoved all her gifts in his arms and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"What?" Kade glared at her.

"Usually, you look like a womanizer. But I don’t understand... Why do you keep running away from all these girls?"
