With that thought, fleshheart began to manipulate the flesh around it, preparing to act once more—but a second later, it froze again, confusion clouding its eyes.

"I knew it. This wasn’t going to be simple."

A mutter passed through Daniel’s mind, and in that instant, he immediately activated Divine Cleanse, purging any lingering effects from the mind power attack. At the same time, he tightly held onto the Time Stream ability, ready to activate it at the slightest sign of trouble.
