Regression - Second Chance At Life
Chapter 133: Trying Something New
CHAPTER 133: TRYING SOMETHING NEW
Margarette can’t help but smile as she looks at Adam. Adam smiles back.
"Good morning," Adam says, and he steps closer. Margarette smiles and wishes him back.
Alessia, who is standing next to Margarette, sees this and finds it weird. She has never seen her sister look at someone like this before.
"You are still here?" Margarette asks.
"I couldn’t possibly leave without saying goodbye," Adam says.
"You could have woken me up," Margarette says.
"I could have, but it looked like you were having a pretty good sleep, so I didn’t want to disturb you," Adam says.
Margarette nods her head and looks back at Alessia. The soft smile she has on her face when looking at Adam disappears, replaced by her usual elegant and in-control look.
"How are the board members reacting?" Margarette asks.
"They are waiting for you," Alessia says.
Margarette nods her head and looks back at Adam. "I need to go," She says. "I understand, I need to leave as well," Adam says.
Margarette smiles and rolls out of bed. She still feels a little sore, but it’s manageable. She stands up and starts looking for her dress.
Adam approaches her. "Before I leave," Adam says, and puts his hand on her naked waist and pulls her in, catching Margarette by surprise.
He plans a kiss on her lips. Slow, deep, and passionate. The same kind that made Margarette look at Adam differently.
Margarette immediately melts under his soft kiss, wrapping her hands around Adam’s neck, kissing him back with the same passion.
Alessia, who sees this, can’t believe her eyes. She has never seen her sister kiss another guy before her. This is the first time. Now her eyes are locked on Adam, wondering what he did to her sister to make her behave like this.
They take their lime, enjoying each other’s lips and tongue before finally pulling away. They stare into each other’s eyes. Margarette stares into his confident, striking eyes with a sense of vulnerability she has not shown towards anyone else.
Adam smiles at her, making her smile in the process. He then leans in, bringing his mouth closer to her ear, and whispers into it. "Looks like I own you now~" He says in a teasing tone.
Margarette’s eyes widen as she recalls the bet between them, the winner gets to own the loser. The one she thought she would win, but now that she stands before Adam, looking at his smiling face, she realizes that she lost.
And it wasn’t even a fight. Adam destroyed her, he left her broken like a mindless slut and she couldn’t do anything but let Adam have his way with her. He used her.
Margarette’s face turns red like a tomato. The idea of being owned by this young man standing before her should be embarrassing, a hit to her pride, but she doesn’t feel embarrassed at all.
In fact, deep down, she knows how she feels about it. She likes it. She likes the idea of having someone who doesn’t have to act tough around, someone she can truly be vulnerable with and let him take charge.
She knows she is being foolish here; she has only known Adam for just more than a day, but she already feels more connected to him than any other person in this world. She can’t believe her own feelings.
How could she, a cold, calculating, logical woman, suddenly stop making sense of her current situation just because this young man made her feel special?
She wants to deny it. It’s the logical thing to do. She cannot have someone else controlling her life, ordering her around, but as she opens her mouth to say something, she hesitates.
She just stares into Adam’s striking eyes and gets lost in them.
"Alright, time for me to go," Adam says, gives her one last peck on the lips before leaving.
Margarette opens her mouth to say something, but stops as she watches Adam leave. She then sighs. ’I will clear it up with him next time,’ Margarette thinks.
"What was that?" Alessia suddenly asks loudly, snapping Margarette out of her thoughts.
Margarette looks at Alessia, "What was what?" She asks. "That- Whatever that was with that guy," Alessia says. "His name’s Adam," Margarette corrects her.
"Adam. Alan. Adrian. I don’t care, that was fucking weird," Alessia says. "What are you talking about?" Margarette asks, frowning.
"You with that guy. It was like you were in love or something. It made me cringe," Alessia says, making a cringe face.
"Wha- Well, it’s not something you need to be concerned about. Let’s focus on getting to the meeting," Margarette deflects the topic and quickly takes a shower, puts on her dress, and exits the hotel room with Alessia.
Alessia is still weirded out by her sister’s behavior with Adam because she has never seen her act so lovingly with anyone, let alone a man.
’I should look into him,’ Alessia thinks.
____________________
Adam takes a cab home as he doesn’t have his car with him.
Walking into his mansion, he finds his car parked next to Julia’s, indicating she’s home. Seeing her car makes him smile because he is now even closer to what he desires the most currently.
He walks in and sees Julia, sitting on the couch like usual, watching TV with a glass of wine. With Xu Lin doing all the morning work, Julia really doesn’t have much to do around the house.
Most of the time, she is out shopping with her friends, or lazing around the house like now, or maybe relaxing next to the pool in her bikini if the weather’s nice.
She notices Adam walking in. Their eyes meet, but she immediately looks away as she doesn’t want to be bothered by Adam.
By now, she knows she cannot start an argument with Adam because of his thick skin and his ability to twist her words and put her at fault.
For now, she will continue to scheme in silence. She has something planned that she thinks will work. If it does, she will finally be able to get rid of him, and all of this will finally be hers.
Seeing her trying to ignore him makes Adam smile. He doesn’t bother teasing her as the day of her kneeling before him is right around the corner.
He makes his way back to his room and lies down on his bed. He has a few hours to kill before he goes to the Gym.
"I should really get into other hobbies," Adam thinks as he realizes he now has more hours to do other things. With his body only needing four hours of sleep, he can do so much more than just go to work and the gym.
Wanting to find a new hobby, Adam rolls out of his bed and sits before his computer, and starts looking through a few topics that sparked his interest in the past.
The first thing that came to his mind was music. During hard times, sometimes he found music as a distraction. Watching people go crazy over singers made him wonder what his life would have been like if he were a singer. Of course, he had no talent when it came to singing.
But singing in general is not something he would like to start with. ’Maybe I should start with a musical instrument,’ Adam thinks, and wonders what type of musical instrument he would like to start with, and he could only think of one, the Piano. He always found piano players cool to look at.
Sitting before a large piano, alone on the stage, while everyone has their eyes and ears locked onto you as you take over with your sheer talent and skill.
Once, Adam worked in an auditorium as a cleaner and was lucky enough to hear a highly respected pianist work his magic on stage. He remembered getting chills listening to that man. This makes Adam wonder if he can evoke the same kind of reaction from other people if he gives it a try.
Till now, this body of his has been able to do anything, so why not give the piano a try?
This life for Adam is not just about getting revenge, becoming rich, and fuck around. It’s about taking chances at everything he can do and wants to do. Even if it’s a silly little thing, or something extreme like becoming a piano-playing god.
"Let’s go with this," Adam says, and orders himself a keyboard online to practice with. He doesn’t bother looking for a teacher to teach him because he can learn it over the internet.
After placing the order, Adam decides to kill time by playing some games. Time flies by fast, and when it’s time for him to head to the gym. He gets ready and leaves.
Adam arrives at the gym, where he finds Rangsan and Lamai already waiting for him.
Rangsan immediately starts his training while Lamai watches. Adam notices that Lamai is still acting cold towards him, but he doesn’t bother talking to her. He doesn’t bother going to her and learning about the sudden change in her attitude towards him. He is more focused on his own self-improvement.
After two hours of very hard training, Adam has a smile on his face. He seems to be done with the basics. From tomorrow, he can move on to the advanced level moves and techniques.
Rangsan also looks incredibly happy. His attitude towards Adam also changes. Before, he was cold and didn’t talk much, but now, he is much more open with Adam. Even going as far as making jokes.
Seeing this makes Lamai even more jealous, as her father has never treated her like this.
If a third person sees this, they would also think that Rangsan values Adam more than Lamai.
Adam doesn’t notice the growing jealousy towards him from Lamai; right now, his focus is only on improving himself.
