The next few hours passed quickly as Adam trained according to Lamai's instructions. Though not as good as her father, Adam feels far more comfortable with her than with her father.

Covered in sweat, not his, the training comes to an end.

Lamai is left breathless. Her hair is disheveled, and she is still sweating profusely. She gives Adam an annoyed look, not one filled with jealousy like before, just annoyed seeing how Adam still appears fresh as a daisy even after hours of rolling around, training different forms of grappling.

Wrestling mixed with jiu-jitsu is one of the most exhausting things a fighter can do. Rolling around, using almost all the muscles in the body, tends to drain every last bit of endurance those muscles have.

It's brutal, but Adam's jumping around as if he did nothing for the past few hours.

"That was great," Adam says with a smile.

Lamai blushes as she recalls every time their bodies were entangled in positions that were not so professional, every slip and hold led to their privates sometimes brushing or pressing against each other, leaving her flustered.

Lamai was clearly having a lot harder time dealing with it than Adam, who acted as if they didn't happen at all. But Lamai knows that he knows; he is just better at hiding his feelings and expressions than her.

Lamai is not a complicated girl; she expresses what she feels, and trains with Adam, especially when they are training in grappling, which leaves her flustered.

That's why she specially called for Connor to train with Adam until her father took over.

Lamai knows what's going on. She is sexually attracted to Adam, and how could she not? He is handsome, he has a sexy body, he smells nice, and his talent for this sport is off the charts. Adam is basically everything that she looks for in a man.

"It was. That's it for today. You can leave." Lamai says, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

Adam smiles and nods before leaving Lamai to herself. He can see she is more than flustered and doesn't want to be around him.

But Adam is no longer bothered by it. He now knows what has been bothering her, and he made sure to reestablish a relationship between them, one much stronger than before.

Adam can feel it, and so does Lamai. Now, Adam will just wait it out and see how Lamai will behave around him from now on before he thinks of doing anything.

Adam takes a shower, puts on his clothes, and heads home.

As he is no longer going to work the evening shift anymore, he has time to dedicate to his other projects.

Arriving home, Adam sees the driveway empty. No one seems to be home, not even Julia.

She is either out shopping with her friends or is having one of her group meet-ups in one of her friends' houses.

Adam gets out of his car and walks into his house, and immediately notices a pair of shoes he has never seen before.

They are small and definitely belong to a girl. It's not Julia's, as she would never be caught wearing shoes that look this worn out and cheap.

Adam knows who these belong to. A smile appears on his face.

He makes his way towards the guest room, expecting to see someone.

As he gets close, he hears things being shuffled around. He arrives before the slightly ajar door and pushes it open.

Inside, he sees Xu Lin, dressed up in her casual clothes. A blue top and maroon cotton shorts, she also has her hair loose.

Hearing the door being pushed open, Xu Lin turns and sees Adam standing at her door. Her face immediately bursts into a smile as she sees him.

"Master~" she says and skips to him.

Adam watches her get close, admiring this look of hers. He has always seen her in her maid uniform, so this new look is a nice change in scenery.

"You are looking cute," Adam says.

Xu Lin blushes and smiles softly, hearing Adam's compliment.

"Looks like you are still moving in," Adam says as he looks into her room, a few boxes here and there, some of her bed, and the wardrobe is open.

Xu Lin looks back at the mess and feels embarrassed.

"I just finished moving all my stuff..." She says.

"Great," Adam says and walks in, looking around her room. Xu Lin skips behind him, nervously, not wanting to show Adam all the mess she has made, but it's already too late.

"Looks like you have a lot of work, up ahead. You will be busy for a while," Adam says, looking back at her.

"Don't worry, master~ I won't let this get in my way of duty," Xu Lin says, seriously making Adam chuckle. He is amused by how sincere Xu Lin is about her role as a maid of this house.

"I am sure you will, but still. This looks like a lot of work. Let me help you," Adam says.

Xu Lin looks surprised, hearing Adam offer his help. "No need, Master~ I am the maid here. I can't let master get his hands dirty," she says. Denying his request.

"Don't worry. I have nothing going on right now," Adam says and opens up one of her boxes and looks at her.

"Where do these go?" he asks. Xu Lin looks frustrated. She really doesn't want to bother her master with such minuscule chores. She thinks it's beneath him.

Adam can see that Xu Lin is struggling to accept his help. 'She's a little too dedicated,' He thinks and gets close to her. Extending his hand to her face, he gently caresses it.

"Don't worry~ I just want to make it a little easier for my favorite girl, because I am sure Julia won't let you rest once you have completely settled in," Adam says.

Xu Lin blushes happily, hearing Adam call her his favorite girl once again. She gives in and nods.

Adam smiles and begins helping her settle in. Clothes, personal items, photos. Adam gets to witness a few things about Xu Lin's life that he wouldn't have known.

He saw her family photo, consisting of her father, her grandparents, and her. Out of which, only her parents are alive. Adam learnt that her mother ran away with her lover, leaving her father alone to take care of her while she was still very young.

Her grandparents couldn't help her father as they too passed away, leaving everything on Xu Lin's father. But then her father got sick as well, forcing Xu Lin to start working at the age of fifteen.

Since she grew up alone in an empty house, as her father had to work day and night, she learned to take care of everything around the house, and this came in handy.

She started working at one of the rich locals' in her village for three years, but as her father's condition continued getting worse, and her country did not have good enough health care.

So she decided to move her father here because of this country's advanced health care and joined one of the maid associations that helped her settle in and promised her to find a job.

The first few months were hard for Xu Lin; no one wanted to hire her as their permanent maid because of her young age. The only work she was able to do was assisting other maids when they were in a crunch.

Her pay was low and was not enough for her father's treatment. But luckily, Adam hired her, and with the money she received, she finally managed to get her father the help he needed.

So just for this, Xu Lin is eternally grateful for Adam.

Xu Lin got very emotional as she told her story to Adam, so Adam held her in his arms and comforted her.

This made the bond between them even stronger. In Xu Lin's eyes, Adam is the most important person in her life, and she will do anything he asks her to.

After all, no one has ever been this kind and helpful to her.

After a few hours, they are done. Xu Lin's new room now looks presentable. All her clothes are in the wardrobe, and all her things are in places that they should be.

Xu Lin is very happy that she got to spend some alone time with her master and got to know each other a little better. While she told him her backstory, she also got to know a little about Adam.

How his mother died when he was young, his dislike of his father for being more interested in his job than anything else in his life, his hobbies, and many more.

Her love for her master grew a lot more. She wanted this moment between them to last forever, but now that her room is tidy and the job is done, Adam's about to leave.

She doesn't want him to leave, so she wants to spend some more time with him, so she steps up to him. Her fingers twiddling, her head down, cheeks blushing. She wants to say something to him.

Adam looks at Xu Lin as she stands before him; he can tell that she is dying to say something.

"Go on, what do you wanna say?" Adam asks.

"Umm... thank you for helping me settle in... Master... As a thank you, I thought... maybe I can help you in return..." Xu Lin says, blushing.

Adam smiles.

"Oh~ And how do you plan to help me?" Adam asks.

Xu Lin stares into his eyes, shyly, while pressing her lips together.

Then she gets down on her knees.
