CHAPTER 84: ANYTHING YOU WANT

Julia has no idea that her words would make it easier for Adam to get Xu Lin.

Xu Lin was already attracted to Adam, but being the shy and innocent girl she is, Adam knew he needed to take it a little slow with her to not scare her.

Xu Lin is not like Ruth or Candice, who are very forward with what they want.

Adam thought he would have to make Xu Lin slowly get used to his physical approach, but because of the little doubt that Julia put inside her head.

Xu Lin started acting distant, which allowed Adam to force her into confessing how she really feels about him, and this allowed him to seal the deal without beating around the bush.

Adam looks down at Xu Lin with a smile as she looks into his eyes. He can clearly see the love and desire Xu Lin has for him. Now that he has someone who will likely be very loyal to him, he can make her do things that would require some assistance.

"I think you should get back to work, or Julia might blow a gasket," Adam says, smiling. Xu Lin blushes and nods her head before turning to leave. As she makes her way out of his room, she can’t help but look back every other step, to which Adam would just smile at her, seeing how Xu Lin is acting to this new development between them.

After Xu Lin leaves, Adam gets ready for the day. First, he will go to work, then to the gym, and back to work before returning home.

This is his current routine, but he doesn’t plan to stick to it for much longer. He doesn’t have to work the evening shift and allocate that time to something else. Maybe learn something else.

Adam wants to be much better in this life. Whether it is fitness or other life skills, like music or painting.

He wouldn’t mind learning how to sing or play a musical instrument, as sometimes he did imagine how his life would be if he were a famous singer, but since he never picked up any musical instruments in his life, he has no idea how good he is.

But he suspects he will be quite good at it. This new body of his has proven to be very good at everything he does.

Putting on his perfectly fitting clothes, he makes his way down to the dining room for breakfast.

Adam sees Jack already on the table, and as always, looking at his tablet. This man seems to know nothing but work. ’No wonder his ass got cheated on,’ Adam thinks, slides his chair back, and sits down.

He then turns to look at Julia and smirks at her. Julia immediately turns her head away, not wanting to ruin her mood early in the morning.

But the images of last night and her actions are still fresh in her mind. She has been thinking about them the moment she woke up, and now seeing Adam looking as handsome and charming as ever, it made her heart race.

Xu Lin walks in with Adam’s breakfast and smiles at him while blushing like the young woman in love that she is. Adam smiles back at her while rubbing her exposed thigh underneath the table.

Xu Lin gets startled and quickly runs away, shy and embarrassed.

Julia is not blind. She sees Xu Lin’s behavior and realizes that something has changed between her and Adam.

She glares at Adam, realizing that even with her warning about him abandoning her, he managed to make his way into Xu Lin’s heart. But Julia isn’t surprised.

Even she is struggling to keep her lips away from Adam, so how could a naive, innocent girl like Xu Lin stand a chance?

Sensing that Julia is once again looking at him, he meets her eyes and licks his lips, reminding her about last night.

Julia scoffs, frustrated, and turns away. While all this happened, Jack was completely oblivious to things happening around him.

He is more focused on his work.

Jack has a frown on his face as the negotiation between his company and Margarette is not going as he planned. He needs something more to make the deal much more pleasing to Margarette, so that their company gets a better deal.

Suddenly, he lifts his head and looks at his son. He can see how handsome his son has gotten, even since he decided to fix himself. He also saw the effect he had on women. Especially Margarette. He saw the way she was looking at his son.

’Looks like I will have to use him after all,’ Jack thinks as Margarette is proving to be quite a hard person to bargain with.

"Do you have any plans on Monday?" Jack asks, looking at Adam.

Adam looks at his father, surprised, wondering why the old man is suddenly interested in his life. Of course, Adam doesn’t believe it’s because he cares about his son’s life. There is definitely something that Jack wants.

"Why?" Adam asks.

"I have dinner plans with Miss Angelos. She was asking about you. Why don’t you join us?" Jack says.

Adam smirks as he realizes that his father wants to pimp him to that lady boss.

"What do I get?" Adam asks, without beating around the bush.

Jack locks eyes with Adam and sees that his son understands the assignment is getting right to the negotiation. He doesn’t mind it, as it’s the smartest thing to do.

He would have done the same if he were in Adam’s position.

"Anything you want. But of course, it has to be within my limits," Jack says.

Adam raises his brow as he realizes that this deal between Jack’s company and Margarette might be bigger than he thought, because Jack would never be so giving without any reason.

"Fine," Adam says.

And just like that, the conversation between father and son is done. Julia heard the interaction between them and started getting nervous, wondering what Adam would ask for.

Jack leaves after finishing his breakfast. Adam finishes his and takes his plate back to the kitchen, where he finds Xu Lin cleaning up.

"Master~" She acknowledges his presence when she sees him walk in and blushes. Adam smiles, puts his plates in the sink, and approaches Xu Lin.

Standing before her, he grabs her by her chin, makes her look up, and gives her a passionate kiss.

"Thank you for making me a delicious breakfast," He says, smiling down at her charmingly. Xu Lin turns red while her heart beats very fast.

"I need to go now. Have a nice day~" Adam says. "You too, master~ stay safe~" Xu Lin says.

Adam smiles, turns around, and sees Julia standing in the kitchen entrance, glaring at him. Adam smirks. He knows she clearly saw him kissing Xu Lin.

Xu Lin also notices Julia, gets shy, and immediately goes back to work, trying to avoid Julia.

Adam approaches Julia before stopping next to her. He leans in closer to her ear and whispers. "Now, now, don’t get jealous. I am just kissing my girl. There is nothing wrong with that. Also, thank you, because of you, I managed to get her way earlier than I thought. And one last thing. You better treat her well when I am not around, or else," Adam says, grabs her ass, digging his finger into her soft flesh before continuing to whisper. "I will make you even more desperate than you already are."

Julia presses her lips together as she feels Adam grope her ass while his hot breath graces her ear, making her feel a chill run down her spine.

She just gives Adam a glare in response. Adam smiles back at her and leaves, knowing that Julia understood.

After Adam leaves, Xu Lin nervously looks at Julia, wondering if she will say anything. Julia meets her eyes, making Xu Lin even more nervous.

Julia just stares at Xu Lin for a few seconds before walking away. Xu Lin sighs in relief, realizing that Julia won’t bother her about her relationship with Adam, which brings a smile to her face.

Adam gets in his car and drives to work.

Like always, he is the second one to arrive at work, making him wonder just how early Ellie gets here to start preparing for the day. And like always, she greets him with a smile.

Adam puts on his uniform and opens the restaurant for the day, and immediately begins receiving customers as people seem to really like the morning brew that the restaurant makes.

Leila and Cassie also soon arrive and join to help Adam around. Today seems to be a busy day, so the three rarely get a chance to sit down and relax.

Adam has no problem with this, operating with incredible efficiency, making the girls wonder how Adam can operate like this. They even start joking that Adam is a robot, as he is good at everything he does.

As the three continue with their work, a group of young men and women walk in. They all seem to be in their late teens. Probably around Adam’s age.

The moment they walk in, Cassie rushes to them with an excited smile. They are clearly her friends.

They then go on to occupy a table as Cassie takes their order while Adam and Leila watch from afar.

"Hey, Cassie, is that the guy you were talking about?" One of the girls in the group asks Cassie as her eyes are locked onto Adam.

"Shhhh, he might hear you," Cassie says, not wanting to be embarrassed before Adam.

"Oh my god~ You weren’t lying. He looks so dreamy~" Another girl chimes in as she seems to be lost in her fantasies as she stares at Adam like she just discovered a new male idol to crush on.

"Can you both keep your voices low? he might hear you!" Cassie whispers nervously.

Seeing Cassie act like this, one of the guys in the group frowns and stares at Adam with some hostility.
