Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 328: Body Hill
CHAPTER 328: CHAPTER 328: BODY HILL
Kael: Hello Alora, hope you are well.
You must have seen the new feature update on the Lionhood Bar, what I want you to do is somewhat related to that.
I want you to cause a rebellion among the vassals of those who have joined the Lion System.
Consider this one slot from the obedience debt.
Alora: Okay.
Kael: Feel free to ask Adolf to assist you if necessary. That too would count as him paying one of his unconditional obedience debts. You would be doing him a favor.
Alora: Uhm, okay...
...
Kael looked at the one-word message Laora had sent to him. He didn’t know why but he had a feeling that Alora wanted to say something.
However, he didn’t continue the conversation.
He removed the golden screen from his face, allowing him to see his environment clearly.
Kael was currently standing on top of a ’hill’ in his lion form.
From where he stood, he could see far into the distance the wild plains.
His vision covered the grounds which were a former feeding ground for the Super Mega Herd.
The blood had dried, solidifying with the ground. The blood had gone from red to a deep red, almost black. It would take a lot of rain for this terrain to return to the way it was supposed to be.
Kael’s eyes narrowed.
The Super Mega Herd has been thoroughly disbanded by Priya. All the creatures have been separated into their individual castes, divide and conquer.
Each of the herd castes has been moved away or was being moved away from the battlefield, led by their respective enforcers and new caste leaders.
For obvious reasons, they had to be moved away. A feast was about to begin.
While Priya charged the caste leaders and sent them on their way, she also had different bird scouts watch over them, just in case anyone tried to do anything funny.
For now, each of these herd castes was directed to go around, adding more creatures to their ranks. This was what Kael wanted them to do until he attended to Chloe and the Arkship.
The main continent of Eridoria was so wide, the sooner they had to set out to recruit every last Zebra, buffalo, antelope, and giraffe on the planet.
Kael wanted it all.
Although the smarter members of these herd castes were curious and skeptical, they had to hold their tongues.
Kael and Katari were swift in drowning any thought of opposition. After the battle, not many even thought of resisting, although some of them questioned the authenticity of Kael and what they had just fought for.
However, Kael and Katari had ruthlessly executed any creature that so much as looked at Kael the wrong way. It wasn’t that Kael took offense, he just needed an excuse to show cruelty and remind his new subjects of the consequences of not falling in line.
The herd mentality was a funny thing. They could band together to fight for the golden lion but they couldn’t even think of joining forces to fight against him.
That was because when they were fighting for Kael, there had been an instigator, a leader, someone who led them by the nose.
It was either a mind-controlled zebra or a somewhat brainwashed creature. They had someone to take the first step for them so that they could follow.
Now, all the leaders of the herd castes did not dare to oppose Kael for fear of being killed by their own enforcers or the bird surveillance watching them.
Since all the herd castes had left the battlefield, all that was left were the expanse of carcasses and flesh hills.
Kael’s paw pressed on the neck of a dead buffalo that had its guts spilling out. This was just one of the many.
Some of them had fought back, some of them had tried to run away. They were all dead.
This was what happened when power-hungry entities were allowed to do whatever they wanted to get whatever they wanted.
Lives are lost and will continue to be lost.
"Your Majesty," a telepathic voice reached Kael’s mind from below. He tilted his head slightly, maintaining his regal presence.
At the base of the body pile, Priya, some wolves, Kursela, and three hyenas were present.
They all looked up at the dignified golden lion with a flowing majestic dark mane. At this point, standing at the top of this carcass hill, under the faint moonlight, Kael looked like a demigod in Lion form.
Dominating,
An oppressor,
Tyrant,
Kingly,
Overlord.
Regal.
Majestic.
Untouchable.
Mysterious.
This was the alleged king of kings.
Everyone who gazed upon his frame at this point couldn’t help but have the urge to bow their head and cry out their willingness to submit to his control.
Looking down at them, Kael’s eyes shone, multiple images began to overlap with this one, causing his aura to become more solid.
He saw himself as Alan, the first. He saw himself as Bethel, as Ishat, as Silax, as Jin, as Derylia, and as Noel.
All of them at some point in their lives had seen the same thing that Kale was seeing.
In those memories, they all stood on a hill formed by the bodies of their enemies, looking down at their subjects.
Even Derylia had experienced something like this in a corner event of her life at some point. The only difference was that compared to the other memories, she wasn’t standing on the body pile alone.
Sakan stood by her side.
The most stunning memory was Jin’s.
Others stood on a pile of bodies belonging to different creatures, some that Kale could not even recognize.
Jin, the Purger, stood on a mountain of dead lion bodies.
"Your Majesty,"
Priya’s telepathic voice distracted Kael, causing him to lose focus on the series of memories he was seeing. His golden gaze rested on the group below.
"What is it?" He asked, his voice magnetically deep and commanding.
"Your Majesty, this is the new leader and the enforcer of the Hyena Caste," Priya said.
Kael’s eyes focused on the three hyenas Priya was referring to.
One of them had light blue spots on her brown fur coat. Her body crackled with lightning. With a single glance, Kael could see that this hyena was equivalent to a tier 3 lion and might be even close to evolving.
The one beside her was a female hyena Kael was familiar with. She had metal claws and her lips were badly injured, allowing one of her metallic fangs to stick out of her upper jaw.
This was the same hyena that Kael remembered from his cub days. The scar on one side of her face was still there and a bit of the metal skull could be seen from it.
"Who is the caste leader and who is the enforcer?" Kael asked.
Priya looked at her hyena with purple spots, "This is the caste leader of the new Hyena Caste," She said, then looked at the metal-clawed hyena, "This is the leader of the enforcer sub-caste for the hyenas."
"Did you ask her if she knew of my Father?" Kael asked Priya privately.
"Yes, unfortunately, she has had conflicts with many lions in the past and can’t possibly remember our former Pride," Priya responded.
"Hmm," Kael’s eyes narrowed. "Very well then, like the rest, you are to make an effort to recruit more hyenas into the caste for the sake of the kingdom.
Don’t worry about what happened, you’ll receive a lot of benefits and auto as well as the backing of the lion royalties.
Priya, did you brief them on the benefits, punishments, and duties?" Kael asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I did." Priya said.
"Well then, there’s nothing much to talk about anymore. Allow them to participate in the feast." Kael said.
Although Kale said this, the feast had already begun. The meat-eaters in his army had begun to devour as much flesh as they could.
However, compared to the massive amount of carcasses, Kael’s army was very small and it didn’t look like anything was happening.
That was why there were no birds in the sky as at now, all of them had landed to join the feast.
They would eat until they couldn’t eat anymore, then sleep then wake up to eat again.
The lionesses were present to regulate them. These were wild creatures with no sense of civility, and pooping where they were eating wasn’t beyond them. Priya and the rest were there to make sure such things don’t happen without serious punishment.
Kael had already sent out a public message in the public chat room of the lion system, inviting any lion or lioness that was within the premises to join them for the feast.
Kael had also sent invitations to N’bayé and the other Vassal forces back home. Many carnivores were making their way over to this blood-soaked field at this point.
Kael now had a lot of herd members as subjects. He intended to use the spoils of this war to recruit as many carnivorous creatures as possible into his castes.
Even Madam Vixy was coming here, knowing that this place could attract a lot of foxes.
After Priya was done with the introductions, the group left to make other preparations and attend to other things.
’Where are you?’ Kael asked to no one in particular as he stared at the starry sky from the top of his carcass hill
