CHAPTER 398: CHAPTER 398: WHAT RELATIONSHIP DO YOU HAVE WITH HIM?

Alora collapsed on the ground inside one of the rooms of a pyramid.

Shortly after the heavenly gate closed, the door to her room opened and four lionesses in their humanoid forms popped in.

"Alora!" One of them shouted as she rushed toward Alora’s body which was spasming aggressively.

Alora’s fur was disheveled, her eyes were shut tight as she felt the overwhelming power flow out of her body.

Alora felt like this was a broken dam, all the power she had was rushing out and she couldn’t stop it.

She was weak.

She couldn’t even muster the strength to stand up properly.

She heard the cries of those Lion Queens and their footsteps. Slowly, she lifted her eyelids but her vision was extremely blurry.

Everything had happened too fast for her to immediately understand.

Something had taken over her body, filling her with immense power that she used to withstand that powerful gaze and escape.

But Alora knew that she was not fully in control of her body at that time. It was like she had gained a new subconscious will at that time.

It was irritating, but at the same time, Alora found herself addicted to the power.

"Alora, are you okay," One of the lionesses, a brown-skinned lady with long dreads, asked.

"Ugh," Alora was barely able to construct a full sentence.

She transformed back into her humanoid form, wearing the fur coat and thick dress she had been wearing on the frozen planet

"Alora, what happened?" Another lioness asked.

"Just now, we thought you were the Primordial Lion, what happened to you? Why are you like this?"

One of the lionesses stretched out her hands, which glowed a pale green. Small seeds flew out and fell to the floor in front of Alora’s body.

The seeds burst apart into tiny particles of green essence. The green particles flew into Alora’s nose without her consent.

Alora was extremely vulnerable at this point, if anyone had ill intent toward her, she would not be able to defend herself.

"It was him," After some time, Alora managed to utter some words, "...Kael,"

"The Primordial Lion?" The dreaded lady asked, "We thought it was him. But how?"

Alora shook her head, she too wasn’t so sure how to describe what had just happened to her.

If she could articulate her words well, she would say that a massive amount of Conquering Essence had been infused into her body and she was temporarily pushed to tier 6.

The feeling of being in tier 6 was truly different from the feeling of being in tier 5. She had not been in tier 5 for a long time actually and she was still getting used to the powers, hence her prolonged training at the frozen planet.

Now, Alora had experienced, very briefly, what it would be like to be at the tier 6 level, and she was addicted.

Even as she talked to the ladies, her mind was already on resuming her training.

And it was all because of Kael.

"Why did the Primordial Lion have to help you? Was he there with you?" The Veggie Lioness among them asked with a questioning gaze.

When this question was put forth, the atmosphere of the room changed. The caring and worried looks in their eyes momentarily faded away as they stared at Alora with a bit of hostility.

Alora felt the change in the atmosphere and couldn’t help but sigh, these lionesses had misplaced priorities.

Even though they were Lion Queens with their own clans, these lionesses still had fantasies that could make them renounce their status and authority.

The fantasy of being the consort of the Primordial Lion was something that a lot of lionesses shared.

Although no one really talked much about it, many of them knew that if it really came down to it, they would be willing to kill to be one of the Primordial Lion’s consorts.

So what if they had Heavenly Beacons and the authority over a clan, some things were just more glittery to them.

Everyone had something that would make them compromise their status and ideology, and for some of these lionesses of the Fanged Flower Alliance, Kael was that thing.

Obviously, the Primordial Lion could not take every lion that came his way as his consort. Not everyone was like Bethel, the second Primordial Lion.

Sensing the passive-aggressive state these four ladies were about to enter, Alora shook her head

"I wasn’t with him. I was in trouble and there was no one there to help me so I panicked and sent a message directly to him..." She said,

"You can send a message to him directly?" Another lioness asked as faint flickers of lightning appeared in her eyes.

Alora sighed, it had skipped her mind that not everyone could send a message to Kael’s identity mark.

Most of them couldn’t even find his identity mark because it was blocked and hidden from the gaze of others.

If anyone wanted to speak with Kael, they would have to be contacted by him first, or would have been talking with him for a long time.

The fact that Alora had been having conversations with Kael was not something that everyone knew.

Only a few like Exalon, Xu Ying, and a select others were aware that Alora and Kael talked. Even then, they didn’t really know if they talked often or not as no one really kept such a thing at heart.

But Alora was also the only one in the Fanged Flower Alliance who could talk with Kael, and they did not know.

Now, Alora was implying that she had sent an emergency message to Kael and he had actually responded.

What did this mean?

"Alora? What is your relationship with the Primordial Lion?" The dread-haired lady asked. Her fiery red tail swiped from left to right behind her as she leaned forward.

Alora rested her back on the sofa, taking in deep breaths as she began to recover her strength. The coldness was starting to return to her body and the temperature of the room began to drop.

However, because of the other lionesses, it was impossible for Alora’s aura to fully affect the whole place.

"He gave me my heavenly beacon, don’t you remember. We haven’t talked since then but he was the only one who came to my mind when I was in trouble.

You haven’t even asked what kind of trouble I was in."

At Alora’s passive scolding, the other ladies quickly brought themselves to order and straightened their minds.

Yes, wasn’t it normal that she could chat with Kael, they did have history together after all. That’s what went through their minds as they tried to rationalize Alora’s explanation.

’If I had known, I would have just mentioned Chloe instead. That would be less troublesome,’ Alora thought.

"Sorry," The Electric Lioness among them said, "So what was causing you so much trouble that the Primordial Lion was the first to come to your mind to ask for help?"

"Dragons," Alora stared with a blank expression.

"Huh?" The Veggie Lion asked

"I said Dragons," Alora said again.

"But you went to a dragon outpost at the edge of the Void Spill Galaxy. Isn’t it normal to have dragons there? Didn’t you know where you were going?" The last lioness asked.

She had black hair and pale skin with dark eyes. Her fingernails were metallic, indicating her status as a Metal Lioness.

"I warned you not long ago to leave the galaxy, didn’t I?" The lady with dreads and brown complexion said as she put her arms on her very curvy waist.

She was Shawty, the same person who had been chatting with Alora through the lion system shortly before that disaster happened.

She had warned Alora of a spreading rumor that dragon aura was felt in the Void Spill Galaxy.

"Yes, you did," Alora nodded, "But it wasn’t another dragon guard coming to check what was happening.

It was a full army, with an arkship, thousands of powerful dragons, and..."

Alora paused as the image of the being flashed through her mind.

"And what?" Shawty asked with a deep frown, not appreciating the suspense.

"I’m not sure," Alora said. When that immense power washed through her body, all her senses were enhanced, including her eyes.

She had glimpsed clearly at that being that sat on the surface of that arkship.

Both she and Kael had seen the same thing.

"Not sure if what? Describe it," Shawty said.

Alora’s eyes lowered as she thought, "It looked like a mix between a lion and a dragon.

It was hard to tell if his body was black or dark grey, the void seemed to blend well with his body.

He was looking at me. He looked at me and almost killed me.

He’s the reason I had to call the Primordial Lion in the first place," Alora said.

The lion ladies sank into silence.

They knew instantly who Alora was describing.

"No, it’s impossible," Shawty shook her head, "Why would he be here, in person?"

Alora looked up, "Who’s that?" She asked. She knew who they were talking about but even she wasn’t willing to believe it.

There was only one creature in existence currently that had the mixed characteristics of a lion and a dragon.

It had been so long since he appeared.

But it made sense, only someone who had fought Noel and survived would have such a powerful gaze.

"Ibadon?" Alora asked to confirm, secretly hoping that she was wrong.

Before anyone was to answer, all of them received telepathic messages, alerting them of unannounced visitors.

Pagast was here.
