CHAPTER 509: CHAPTER 509: VASSALS SETTLING DOWN

The main universe.

One arkship streaked through the starry void at warp speed, moving so fast that it would be hard for any human eye to be able to catch up to it.

This arkship was the same arkship that Kael had left Eridoria with; now, it flew through the void with another commander.

The arkship had already left the Empyrean Dust galaxy and was making its way to a new destination.

Inside the command chamber, a few creatures could be seen standing and talking amongst each other.

On the seat of the pillow throne at the center of the command chamber, a calm lion sat comfortably.

This lion looked rather calm and collected compared to the others around him. He also looked a bit ordinary. If not for the fact that he was a three-meter-tall lion, one would just assume that he was indeed an ordinary lion.

There was also the faint twisting of space around his mane and his aura which showed that he was tier 4.

The commanding lion stared quietly at the holographic screen in front of him with seriousness. In it was a map showing detailed information on the surrounding galaxies.

This commanding lion was Leechaun, a Lion Lord directly under Burdo. With a power level of tier 4 and a space lionheart, he was among the strongest lion lords in the Ol-mytee clan and was even the first lion lord to work under Burdo.

Out of the other lion lords present on the arkship, he was the only one given authority to control the arkship.

However, such authority wasn’t granted to him because he was strong, he was aware. He had such status because of who he pledged allegiance to.

Leechaun might be a lion lord under Burdo but his true loyalty rested with Kael.

Because of this, Leechaun reported directly to Kael once in a while via the Lion System.

Burdo had no qualms about this, or rather, he couldn’t care less.

As long as Kael didn’t make life difficult for him he would always act like a dog to the All-King.

Leechaun, ever since he took command of the arkship, was tasked with spreading the remaining lion lords to different galaxies.

He was also to help them settle down with their vassals on the worlds on which they were going to reside.

So far, Leechaun had delivered according to how it was meant to be. A total of ten Origin Worlds have been discovered and chosen lion lords have packed their things to settle down there.

The process of offloading hundreds of thousands of creatures from the arkship was a really taxing but also memorable moment.

It felt like the lions were finally delivering the vassal creatures to the promised land.

Of course, not all Origin Worlds had been perfect. Some were better suited for survival for some particular creatures more than others.

Leechaun and his colleagues always made sure to complete testing. After they were done they would then give the five to seven lion lords who were to stay on the Origin World some resources.

They would give them some magic shuttles, some food, some info orbs, and a few other things that could make their lives a bit easier.

After which, they would begin a naming ceremony where they would discuss the new name of the planet.

It didn’t matter whether there were living organisms on the planet before or not. The lionords collectively claimed the planet as a property of the Ol-mytee clan and treated it as such.

And if there just happened to be any alien hostiles on the planet, the lion lords would just handle them the way they handled most problems.

Direct annihilation.

Only then would Leechaun command the arkship to fly away and leave the new vassal planet and its inhabitants to their own devices.

Right now, Leechaun was looking for more Origin Worlds. There were a lot of habitable worlds that were not Origin Worlds and had very low amounts of Origin Essence.

There were also some Origin Worlds that had a nice or even enviable amount of Origin Essence but they were just unsuitable to live in. An example was the gas planet that Kael’s arkship had once recharged in.

Very very few creatures could adapt to live in such environments, and Kael did not have any of such creatures in his vassal list.

Even the birds and Air Lions refused to stay in those gas planets.

There were also some Origin Planets that were composed mostly of water and could only be inhabited by aquatic creatures.

Some planets were filled with liquid but had no water at all, only toxic chemicals.

Some planets had very wonky gravity. Leechaun and his comrades did simulations with the arkships the Magus lions and found that these gravitational uncertainties could potentially destabilise the evolution of future generations.

Finding Origin Worlds wasn’t that hard, but finding habitable Origin Worlds was the hard part.

Currently, Leechaun was looking for the next suitable Origin World so that he could drop off the next batch of Lion Lords and their vassals.

If only they had another arkship. Unfortunately, Kael required the last arkship they had to be stationed close to Planet Kareem to serve as a base for the Wardens.

While he was observing the holographic screen, his spatial senses spread to cover a part of the command chamber he was in.

Those who were with him in the command chamber were mostly other lions, lion lords, and their consorts.

There were also five very important humanoids standing not too far away and observing the holographic screens for themselves.

Leechaun’s senses had been on them for a long time. These five entities were part of the very few vassal creatures that he had no single authority over despite being a royal lion.

Over to the corner of the room, standing in front of their own holographic screen that displayed living conditions for the other world chambers of the arkship.

Bibi, Vixy, Ralph, Marcus, and Ivana.

Three of these individuals were Primordials.

If it were heard that three Primordials were currently gathered in one place, it would sound ominous to superstitious people.

Vixy, looking as beautiful as she was venomous. Her crimson red hair was packed to her back and fell all the way to her waist, contrasting heavily with her plain white dress.

Held in her arms was a little female humanoid child. The child rested her head gently against Vixy’s bosom. Two bright orange ears that brimmed with visible heat waves stood erect on her head.

And hanging from Vixy’s arms were nine fluffy fox tails, each burning with the faint afterglow of different kinds of flames.

Vixy held this child close to her, a little too tightly. Out of all the flames, one of them made her feel extremely comfortable and relaxed.

Foxfire.

Beside her, the tall and grey-haired handsome Ralph observed the screen before him.

Now that Ralph had unlocked his true body and his true potential, his wolf features were now more evident.

Bibi stood behind him, his tall form casting a guardian shadow over the wolf Primordial.

Marcus looked at Vixy and Ivana, as well as Bibi and Ralph. His dark eyes reflected deep emotions.

He wasn’t like these two who had someone to train and advise them. Growing up, he was just surrounded by elder vultures and flock members who just wanted to use him as a weapon, not truly appreciate him for his powers.

If not for Kael...

Marcus sighed, realising that Kael had played the role of a guardian in his early days... a twisted and cold-hearted guardian.

At least, Kael appreciated him and elevated his status.

Marcus would not forget that.

He shifted his mind, bringing his thoughts back to the discussion they were having.

"...Any planet that will be having wolves requires the remittance of a lot of shuttles. Our hunting missions will definitely cause us to journey across the stars very soon," Bibi said. Ralph nodded in agreement.

"So many demands, but very few resources. My fox race also needs the resources for our Foxfire, it’s crucial to our missions too," Vixy said while adjusting baby Ivana.

"If we are all connected by the system, we would be able to help ourselves instead of having this discussion.

You both know that this could lead to conflict that Kael would not tolerate right?" Marcus asked.

For the personification of Death, he was quite level-headed in these types of discussions. However, he was still thinking for the benefit of his race.

"It’s not so easy," Ralph shook his head as he folded his arms, "We’ll have to resort to developing a lot of things from scratch on these planets.

And with how separate our systems are, it would be hard to contact each other without a medium.

Our development would be slowed down seriously. At least, we have the knowledge on how to develop key technologies.

We could ask a lion lord or Kael to be the medium but I doubt they would have the time or patience to do that."

Marcus shook his head, "The royals will not be in the mood for that. At most, a rogue lion might agree if we pay him enough.

But what do we have that the royals can’t just get by themselves for less stress?"

Vixy shook her head, "Being a medium for connection is not stressful, it’s just that it’s very boring and only those like the Spiders would be glad to engage in such activities...

Speaking of spiders, what about Natalia and that ’thing’ she’s trying to do?"
