Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 562: You Won
CHAPTER 562: CHAPTER 562: YOU WON
Planet Kareem.
A tall man with an indifferent expression and long black hair stood proudly on top of a skyscraper.
His hands were folded against his chest as he took a powerful breath in and out.
"It’s a shame we didn’t pay attention to someone like you a long time ago, our negligence cost us the life of an honourable warrior," The man said after sighing.
He was talking to the person kneeling on the ground behind him.
Ma’abu, forced to remain in his humanoid form, was kneeling on the roof of this concrete tower, bearing the full blade of the sun on his battered body.
He looked frail now.
His muscles looked like they had been deteriorating for some time, his skin was pale, his eyes were swollen, his lips were swollen, his cheeks were swollen.
Ma’abu had suffered.
Whoever had dragged Ma’abu into the heavenly beacon to escape back then had definitely not done so out of goodwill.
As soon as Ma’abu had come to his senses after crossing the gate, he was jumped by multiple lions from all sides.
Punches and paw slaps rained on his face. Katari and many others were fighting to rip his throat out before Kael demanded that he be left alive.
However, Kael did not say that they should stop the beating, so they didn’t.
Ma’abu’s body was currently riddled by different kinds of curses and bruises that he had received two days ago.
As he knelt there he was severely confused. He was tired of screaming even though he was still in pain.
Was he supposed to regret all the things he had done?
Ma’abu wasn’t sure. How could he? He had made it his life mission to eliminate the Primordial Lion and he had almost succeeded.
If anything, Ma’abu felt regret not because he had done it, but because he had failed.
He could just imagine what would have happened if Kael had actually died that day, things would be entirely different right now.
But the ferocity with which Kael’s supporters attacked him surprised him a lot.
Now, he was waiting here for judgment.
"Do you regret it, Ma’abu?" The standing man asked.
This man was a tier 7 lion king tasked with watching over Ma’abu for the meantime. Ma’abu was just too dangerous to let anyone weaker watch over him.
Also, this tier 7 lion king was a space lion, his powers were the natural counter to Ma’abu’s time powers.
He had been able to pinpoint the coordinates of this planet with Kael and a lion lord’s help.
Ma’abu did not answer the question, he had refused to talk since he came to this place.
"Doesn’t matter," The lion king shrugged his shoulders, "The All-King is coming to see you today.
I wonder what kind of punishment he has planned for you.
I heard that he has been awfully quiet from Memphis, way more quiet than he usually is."
Hearing this, Ma’abu chuckled, "The destruction of our race is imminent," He finally said.
The lion king turned his head, the light of the sun illuminating his face.
"No, but your actions may have pushed the All-King to take actions he might have never taken before.
I don’t know if I should congratulate you or kill you myself.
You have given the All-King something that no other Primordial Lion had the privilege of experiencing.
Loss.
You won Ma’abu, you know it. The All-King lost to your schemes.
Everything that is happening now is just the aftermath of your victory.
To lose is not a good feeling, I’m sure you know this as a lion, we love winning and dominating with all our hearts.
But the Ninth Primordial lost to you badly.
And because of that, he will do every single thing in his power, he will travel the farthest lengths, and expend every energy he has to make sure he never loses again.
If our race indeed ends up being destroyed, it wouldn’t be because of him, it would be because of you," The lion king said.
Ma’abu wanted to say something but he ended up coughing up blood. He smiled, revealing his bloody fangs.
The lion king merely glanced at him and sneered.
"He’s coming,"
The link king seems more focused all of a sudden.
A massive wave of power and spatial distortion erupted from his body as he turned himself into a beacon with the lion system as a medium to whoever wanted to come here.
A few seconds later, in front of the skyscraper, a multicoloured crack appeared. The crack spread slowly with the eldritch hiss of a fractured heaven until it formed a ghostly divine portal.
Ma’abu raised his head, the smile on his face being wiped away completely as he became very serious.
The city they were in seems to have entered an apocalyptic state as the collective aura of multiple powerful entities came crashing down.
The glass windows and concrete walls cracked under this might and it was like the world was going to end all over again.
And then, the flow of time reversed and the cracks disappeared like they were never there in the first place.
Kael was the first to levitate out of the portal. He automatically took in a deep breath of this familiar atmosphere.
His blonde hair waved mesmerisingly in the blowing breeze. With his hands placed behind his back, he flew to the roof of the sky scraper and the waiting lion kings.
Following behind him were the tier 7 lion kings, all of whom were friends of Memphis at some point in the last ten thousand years.
Then there was Memphis who was not a lion queen. Following closely behind her were Fidel and Ozia.
"Mentor," Ma’abu muttered with spite when he saw Kael and Memphis.
They both ignored Ma’abu, treating him as if he were nothing but air.
"How are you enjoying the features of the lion system?" Kael asked the lion king who had been waiting with Ma’abu.
The lion king smiled, "Splendid All-King, really impressive," He said.
Kael nodded approvingly but did not return the smile. He wasn’t in the mood to smile anymore the moment he heard Ma’abu’s voice.
Kael stretched out his hand and showed it to the lion kings around him. The items in his palm caused the kings to frown.
What was placed in Kael’s palm were two Devolution Seeds. One for Ma’abu obviously, but who was the second one for?
"We shall begin our judgment," Kael said, his feet touching down on the concrete ground.
It was time for him to clear up the fog in his mind once and for all.
