CHAPTER 261: EARTH MAGIC COWS

Coughing loudly as she spit the monster far too large for her to swallow back out again, Scaly had to forcibly calm herself down to ensure that she wouldn’t end up attempting to swallow a monster too large and end up chocking to death in the process. Managing to barely keep herself from being overtaken by her impulses again by starting to eat the now half eaten monster next to her.

The problem was, this little calm phase didn’t last for long, as her hunger was nowhere near satiated after only a single monster, as her eyes once again began narrowing while looking towards a group of monsters carelessly eating the tall grass a short distance away from her. Having clearly not thought much about the earlier painful roar, as they didn’t believe the one behind that death would end up targeting them.

Understandable, as it was far more difficult to take on a group compared to a single lone monster on its own.

Unfortunately, these monsters weren’t dealing with a normal monster, but was instead dealing with a dreamscale dragon who would be more than happy to take on an entire group of monsters to fill up her stomach faster-

Because of this, the group of monsters casually grazing on the open field without any fear, found themselves being the next target of the hungry dragon, as the rest of the monsters nearby had all chosen to wisely retreat after hearing the fearful and painful cry. Not daring to linger around in case they ended up becoming the next target of what was behind the now dead monster making such a painful roar...

And soon enough, several new roars began echoing out across the mist covered grass field, as Scaly showed no mercy against this group of monsters who were essentially just oversized cows with increased strength and the ability to use some simple earth magic. Easily killing off the entire group that numbered a little over twenty before beginning to feast on the large bodies that had been left behind. Finding herself overcome with excitement at just how delicious these oversized earth magic cows turned out to be, as they could easily be ranked amongst the top three most delicious monsters she had eaten since being born as a dungeon lizard.

But maybe more importantly than that, the massive size of the earth magic cows essentially meant that after fully consuming all of them, she already felt like she was close to full.

Truly, an amazing monster that helped her easily fill her stomach with relatively little effort when she had been thinking about having to spend the next few hours hunting down all sorts of different monsters to fill up her stomach.

In a way, the delicious taste of the earth magic cows and the fact that they were large enough to easily fill up her stomach essentially caused her to completely disregard any of the other monsters on the grass field, as her full attention was drawn towards another herd of earth magic cows in the distance. Her mouth was already starting to water as she gazed at the large monsters carelessly eating the tall grass around them without the slightest worry in the world.

From a glance alone, it was clear that they were unaware of the dangerous little dragon that had already started eyeing them as its next meal. The painful roars from earlier not having managed to reach them, as they would have undoubtedly run away like the rest of the monsters who had heard those painful roars.

After all, different from the rest of the monsters who would only recognize those painful roars as coming from a relatively strong monster being killed off by a much stronger monster, they would have been able to tell that those roars came from their companions, something that would not only have made them panic, but also made them angry.

But... Given that none of them had been able to hear anything, the lack of reaction was understandable and beneficial to Scaly, who had already started to creep closer to the herd of earth magic cows. Already imaging herself filling her stomach with them after killing them like she had done earlier.

However, compared to the herd she had killed and eaten earlier, this second herd of earth magic cows was far larger than the first and maybe more importantly also far stronger. Strong enough to even make someone like the already eager Scaly pause. Forcing her to take a proper look at the strength of these magic earth cows...

And unsurprisingly, their numbers were not only far larger than the relatively small group she had encountered earlier. Numbering in the hundreds, but their strength was also far higher with one of them even having attained the lord status.

Even if she felt it was a bit surprising, she realized that this Magic Earth Cow Lord was stronger than the fire poison eating lizard she had encountered when she had first woken up. Meaning that, she no longer had to bother thinking about that little lizard who had hidden away amidst the purple worm grass, as she now had a new opponent to test out her increased strength since her fifth evolution against.

Not just that, but this opponent was also an especially delicious one that would feel far more rewarding to take down compared to some poisonous lizard that she couldn’t eat.

Well... She could eat it, but it would just feel weird to eat another lizard when she herself had been a lizard in the past...

Instead of that, she would prefer eating something like a magic earth cow lord that she already had some idea would be delicious like the weaker earth magic cows. Potentially even being far more delicious than the weaker earth magic cows...
