CHAPTER 11 - 11:THE DAILY STRUGGLES OF A MOUSE 7

At the eastern section of the rabbit den(warren) 

"Where is that mouse with the snake" Dev spoke as they lay hidden around the eastern section of the den(warren) wait for the mouse to bring the snake.

"Let's wait a little longer if he doesn't show up we leave" Alpha spoke as calm as always but deep down he felt that something was wrong but he didn't know what so he ignored the feeling.

...

"let's leave" Alpha spoke it was becoming obvious that the mouse was not going come, as they got out of their hiding spots they heard footsteps

"Is that the mouse?" Dev spoke but the were too many footsteps and they were heavy, so they looked in the direction of the sound.

The sight made Alpha feel his spine shiver, he turned to see the others were running to western entrance, a few rabbits entered the hole but not everyone could enter because they needed to remove the wall inside the entrance they put for the snake.

Now they were traped

"All of you get out of the entrance, were going southern entrance now!" after hearing Alpha words the rabbits ran towards the southern entrance but the wolf's had arrived

Some didn't have time to get out of the entrance but everyone was focused on running for their lives.

"Don't run bunny's I only want to cuddle you with my teeth" Vectoria spoke as she ran with an evil grin on her face seeing this no rabbit wanted to cuddle with her.

Alpha ran with every thing he had he couldn't see Dex so he assumed that he had died. He kept running he wouldn't stop here

"Huff..huff...huff" some rabbits were visibly tired the only thing that was keeping them running were the screams of their brothers and sisters behind them although they didn't waste time to turn their heads they could hear them dieing that fear keep them running.

'Why? Why? Why is this happening? why did I put the entrance so far apart?how did they find us?' A lot of questions were going through Alpha's mind but he didn't have time to answer them, he had to keep moving

The rabbits fell one by one until the only one that remained and it was Alpha.

Finally Alpha was close to the southern entrance.

Alpha knew after he passes a few tree's he'd be home although he had lost few of his friends and family yet he had a smile on his face he was happy to be alive to have escaped the jaw of certain death who would not be happy in his position.

As he passed the tree's the sight he saw made him lose all hope instead of seeing an empty space with a few hole in it, he saw that all the hole had been closed off except one but at that hole stood a massive snake eating dead rabbits and next to the snake a mouse looked at him and grinned before it entered the hole.

Everything started to add up he understood that the architect of his demise was not the wolves but that little mouse, he fell to the ground when he realised that he had not escaped death but only delayed it.

"Snap"

Alpha dead from one bit to the neck by Vincent.

When Vice saw Alpha arrive he could not help but smile as he looked at him but then he saw a few wolves appear behind him he decided to hide in the rabbit former home and leave the snake to its own devices.

So he entered the rabbits former home he stayed far enough that he could not be seen but close enough that he could see everything that would happen outside.

The snake eyes shifted from it food to the wolves that were now watching it.

"Hiss...what are you wolves doing this far from you territory..hiss?" Rex spoke recognising the wolves where from the edge of the middle region.

"We are here hunting rabbits, you?" Victoria spoke with two E-Rank wolves standing behind her and multiple other wolves

"As you can see...hiss..was having lunch" Rex replied

"Then it seems we have a problem then because theirs not enough food for everyone" Victoria spoke as her black and white fur started to turn ember but it was not just her every wolf had turned their fur ember red the sight was mesmerising and terrifying at the same time.

'Shit those are ember wolves how did I not notice' Vice thought as he watched the scene unfold in front of him

"No we don't have a problem...I..was just leaving" Rex picked up the few rabbit bodies in front of him and started to leave.

"Wait, how did you find the rabbit den?" Victoria spoke stopping Rex in his tracks.

"A mouse told me about it...hiss" Rex replied

"Was this mouse fur brown?" Victoria asked

"Yes" Rex and Victoria seemed to realise something.

Rex looked to the rabbit hole with a narrowed gaze for a moment then he left but the wolves still remained.

When Rex was long gone the wolves moved to hole

"Come out mouse" Victoria spoke in a stern voice

"....."

".."

Vice would never come out of the hole he knew the wolves could never enter and the only creature that could get him out just left so now he was patiently waiting to see what would happen.

"Guys let's go feast" Victoria spoke to the pack, but Vice wasn't buying the act he knew that they were probably wait for him.

There still a lot a rabbit bodies down here after a while he got hungry he eat the meat of the rabbits, the experience of eating raw meat was horrible he could still taste the blood it made him miss tree leaves

After eating Vice looked at his earlier system notification

[Requirements has been met would you like to]

[Evolve(yes) or change species(yes)]

'Change species yes please' after seeing that he finished his quest he pressed yes to the change species without thinking he was overjoyed that he might have fatal mistake

"Oh nothing happened" he was relieved that nothing happened if he changed into something big while in this place he might die

"Crack!....crack,crack...."

"Aaah!!!!help!!AAAAH!!!!" His bones were breaking one by one, his muscle were being teared into pieces, his organs started to move into new position the pain was unbearable yet he stayed conscious through out the entire process.

"No please stopp!!" He screamed, cried as his bones and muscle's reformed but he never allowed himself to fall unconscious so he suffered until the middle of the night.

[Your species has changed congratulations]

'Yesss' Seeing those words made put a wide smile on his face, he was overjoyed that he was no longer a fucking mouse his eyes moved to next notification

[You are now a Rat]

"Rat" He reread that notification 16 times to confirm the truth after reading it one last time before fainting.
