CHAPTER 3 - 3:THE BEGINNING OF THE END 3

What Vice saw when he entered the dungeon was a sight to behold, instead of seeing monsters everywhere he looked, he saw a Kingdom that had similarities to earth and yet it was vastly different, he could see apartment buildings, skyscrapers, he could even see hovercars, but at the center stood a massive palace it had cought every hunters attention but they were too far to fully see it's details.

Everyone who had entered the portal now stood at a cliff that was at the edge of this kingdom "ok everyone we are now in the kingdom of dragons know as Dragonia, don't let their humanoid forms fool you they are vicious monster that kill you with ease, don't forget our goal is to assassinate their king" Livby spoke addressing the group "so lets move".

What he said was nothing but lies, the kingdoms king was somewhere else and in his place remained the kingdoms queen, their aim was to enter their palace by using the sewage system to reach it. Once near the target, Livby will contact a guy inside to get rid of some of the guards the remaining ones will be their problem to deal with.

So they went down the cliff past a lot of trees then following the captain they found a river that was used to dump sewage they followed the river upstream and then they found their entry point, at all times they had to keep a low profile.

When they reached the sewage system the captain checked if all 16 of them were present then gave them gas masks, as everyone was entering the sewage pipe Vice waited until everyone was inside before entering he didn't trust these people with his back.

Vice checked his status before entering the sewage pipe, dispite being a C-Rank hunter he had the stats of an A-Rank hunter after confirming everything was ready, he put on the gas mask and went inside the pipe.

Everyone followed the captain, it was confirmed that the would be nothing down here by their inside man.

Its been 8 hours since they entered the sewage pipes now they stood beneath the a manhole on the palace grounds. The captain contacted the inside man to move some of the guard

"Guys let's talk strategy and porters you guy go to the corner" Livby spoke he was going to tell the hunters the attack plan, Vice and Nate's crew discuss how to get in the treasure room.

The porter's moved to the corner to talk

"Guys let's put what happened behind use and focus on the mission"Joe one of the twins spoke, everyone agreed while Vice stood there just watching

"We'll operate as usual but this time with out killing" a feminine voice that spoke was Zoe, she was Joe twin sister

"Ok since we all agree boss give Livby the signal that we are ready" Donald spoke to Nate showing that he no longer considered Vice as his boss. Nate gave Livby the signal to move and Vice was simply watching his former crew act as if he wasn't there.

After Nate gave the signal to Livby, his crew went out of the manhole and started cause chaos their main goal was to get to the throne room where the door to the vault was on the floor behind the king's throne.

After Livby left, Vice was left alone with his former crew members, his eyes moved to Zoe succulent body, she had dark hair that reached her waist, blue eyes that seemed to be filled with innocence, despite wearing a robe her figure was always visible. Zoe seemed feel his gaze and glared at him.

"I thought I trained you better" he spoke addressing Zoe glare

Hearing those words Zoe eyes fill up with tears she seemed to be remembering all the times she spent with Vice but she didn't cry no she wouldn't give that monster the satisfaction of seeing her cry.

Joe saw this but didn't know what was happening, he always knew that his sister despised Vice but she never told him why because of this he always hated Vice not for how he mistreated him but for how his sister alway felt around him.

"Let's move out" Nate seeing the tension decided to start the mission before they all attack Vice.

So everyone moved as the got out of the manhole they could see a fight took place here, the ground was destroyed they could see a few bodies here and there, 4 of them belonged to the A-Rank hunters they were travelling with.

They finally entered the palace walls that seemed to be made of marble they didn't have the time to admire the beautiful of the palace so they moved fast, Nate's crew knew this place like the back of there hands, they had spent their week studying for this mission.

They made it to the throne room where 2 SS-Rank hunters,3 S-Rank hunters and 2 A-Rank hunters were engaged in a fight with the SSS-Rank dragon queen, Violet Drago she was beautiful but Vice did not have time to admire her body.

[Shadow vail] he activated his stealth skill and started to move through the room by hiding his presence in the shadows, Nate and his crew followed in his steps while giving Livby a signal to inform him about their arrival.

Livby having received the signal, him and Leo raise their energy as best as they could to decrease the odds of the Queen detecting them.

"Boys you raising your energy won't increase your chances of winning, it only quickens your death" she spoke in a condescending tone[Flame towers]the queen cast a spell that made towers of flame rise where the 7 hunters stood, the towers of flames missed 5 hunters and hit the last remaining 2 A-Rank hunters, it was amazing that they lasted 2 minutes since the battle started.

The other hunters did not have time lement their deaths[Tornado]Robin cast's her strongest spell at the dragon Livby, Judin and Rick hidden by the tornado all aimed for the queen's neck

[Frost spikes] more than 200 ice spikes appeared behind Leo his spell made the room temperature drop

[Flam wall] a wall of flame rose protecting the queen from all of their attacks "tsk" Livby knew they were going to have a hard time keeping the queen entertained for 15 minutes..

As the battle rages on Vice and Nate's crew arrived at the door behind the throne, now Joe was using his lock picking skills to open the door it took a minute for him to do it, as he was about to admire his own work Vice opened the door and started walking down reaching a narrow corridor leading to transparent like door they couldn't see through it from this distance.

After Joe was done it was Donald turn "Donald how much time do we have" Nate spoke

"The fight started 2 minutes ago plus the 1 minute opening the door so we have 12 minutes and if I use my skill we will have 24 minutes" he answered Nate "use it".

[Double time] he used his skill to speed up time in the corridor and vault, this was the reason Vice never treated Donald bad his skill was always useful.

[Insight]Zoe used her skill to see if there was any traps and moved to dismantle any traps she found without activating any of them, it took her 10 minutes to dismantle every trap she found.

"I'm done" she spoke informing everyone that it was safe to move toward the treasure room, everyone arrived to the door.

The door cannot be open without the King/Queen's blood and the odds of them getting their blood were in the negatives.

Vice could now see clearly to the other side of the door, he then vanished and reappeared on the other side door he was now in the treasure room, he had used the skill [Shadow hop] to get past the door problems.

He started put all the treasure into his shadow space, as he was collecting the treasure his eyes landed on a black book that had its title in gold.

"PATH OF EVOLUTION" he read the title of the book, he threw it into his shadow space and continued collecting the rest of the loot, it took 5 minutes to collect everything.

He walked toward the semi-transparent door the vanished and reappeared from Nate's shadow

"You took all the treasure right?"Nate asked when saw him appear from his shadow

"Yeah" Vice spoke seeing that Nate had a magic shield surrounding his body

"Ok then take it out of your shadow so we put it in the storage pouch" he said as he removed the pouch from his waist to show Vice.

Vice seeing the pouch, he bent down to his shadow for treasure when his hand entered his shadow everyone seemed suprised to see Vice cooperating with them, a smile appeared on Nate's face as he watched Vice take treasure out of his shadow Nate seemed happy until he saw him vanish.

"EVERYONE GET READY!!" Nate screamed but it was too late when he looked to the stairway leading out of this corridor Donald neck had already been pierced by Vice dagger and he could see Vice was grinning looking a him.

"Now lets have some fun" Vice spoke with a smiled that he could not remove even if he tried.
