How long had it been since I needed to fight seriously?

The last time I fought was against Ragnar.

I felt powerless.

I let out a tired sigh, pushing down my anxiety.

'Fourteen, some Low Overlord and some middle?'

I adjusted the grip on my katana as I looked around me.

The place was narrow with six pillars supporting the structure, not enough for a full-blown battle.

'Annoying but manageable.'

In the group of seven, those soldiers from Solace Kingdom had flanked me from either side.

Gone were their normal swords, replaced by unique weapons—axe, spear, chain, shield—.

An uncomfortable feeling surged through my body as I felt their killing intent.

They all had a aura of predators around them, as if ready to shred me into pieces.

'They had experienced quite a lot of battles.'

I glanced at Hayes, who was just at the edge of the hall.

"Can you handle the consequences, Hayes?" I curtly asked, making him halt.

He turned. "Don't worry, Heir Himmel, no one will know how you died—."

"I am talking about them." I cut into his words, looking at the soldiers. "Can you handle the consequences of losing fourteen trained soldiers?"

His mocking gaze met mine as he ordered them. "Give him a swift deat—."

Removing the suppression on mana around me, I moved.

In a swift movement, I reached one of the soldiers.

The soldier quickly raised his broadsword, swinging it in a wild arc.
