CHAPTER 125: COSMIC BEAM

"Explain."

The silence was shattered as Raylin’s cold voice cut through the air, leaving the girls frozen in their places.

Selene invited them earlier to have some fun, thinking that Raylin would take more time to return.

But he suddenly appeared out of thin air, his wet hair dripping water and body soaked in strange blood.

The blood was oily and leaning toward black, giving him a horrifying presence.

And if that wasn’t enough, he was leaking an overwhelming, suffocating pressure and bloodlust upon them.

Everyone except Selene was trying to counter his pressure with their own, but even all of them combined weren’t enough against him.

’How could his bloodlust be so overwhelming!’

That was the only thought in their minds.

It was strange for a man the same age as them to have such bloodlust.

Unknown to them, and unknown to Raylin himself, his bloodlust was affected by 4 factors.

The first was his kill count, including his kills in his past life.

The second was his emotions, which he had high control over.

The third was his vampire blood awakening, which affected even his bloodlust.

The last was his trait, which had an ability that he wasn’t aware of yet.

As Selene shouted happily and Cel asked with concern, Raylin turned his predatory eyes toward them, then all the pressure faded away, leaving the girls to take a breath of relief.

I let out a sigh and gave up. He was currently too pitiful to even make me angry.

Maybe when his mental age became a full adult he would change, but I had to feed him more for that to happen.

Standing under the shower, I made Night Terror throw all the blood before turning on the water to wash the blood away.

’That fish blood is really thick.’

After finishing everything, I went to the kitchen and began to make a good meal for them.

I looked at Glutton and saw him drinking a big bottle of mana potion.

I sighed and continued making the food. I couldn’t threaten him with the food anymore now, tsk.

After making the food and giving it to the girls — with some sweets — I teleported to the training area.

In the training area, Glutton and I stood before each other.

I held a stiletto and a sword breaker, gripping them tightly as I stared at Glutton.

He was now in his human form, looking like a younger, scarier and less handsome version of me with azure eyes and full black hair, holding a wide stupid smile on his face and a sheathed katana.

And he was naked.

"Hey, wear something at least." I said as I took a robe from my storage before throwing it at him.

"No need."

All of a sudden, azure and black tentacles burst out of his body before coiling around him and turning into clothes similar to mine but with azure color on them.

"Nice trick, right?"

"...."

I didn’t respond, but simply enhanced my body.

That bastard really dared to copy my outfit!

I began counting inwardly.

Before I could say 1, my sense of danger activated as Glutton unsheathed his sword partially and returned it.

I dodged to the side and, before I could understand what happened, a shallow sever appeared on my right cheek.

The sword was still sheathed, and Glutton didn’t move at all, yet, I was already injured.

Glutton laughed. "Hahaha, it worked!"

Gritting my teeth, I teleported before him and stabbed with my dagger. The dagger cut through the space and stabbed Glutton’s shoulder without directly touching him.

"Shit!"

Glutton teleported away instantly and spammed unsheathing and sheathing the sword.

*Flick! Flick! Flick!*

Now that I knew his trick, I parried all his attacks easily, using my spatial awareness to see them.

He was using the most cliche attack for all the katana users in fiction. Did he really think I wouldn’t counter it? And as a space user myself?

As I continued countering the attacks, and countering all the changes in gravity he was making, he finally gave up and unsheathed his sword completely.

"The old way then!"

He teleported beside me and slashed horizontally, but I twisted my body back in an unnatural angle, seeing a blade covered in lightning cutting the air above me.

Another slash came close to me, but I caught his sword with my sword breaker.

I tried to thrust with my dagger, but suddenly, 5 tentacles burst out of his body and caught my hand.

In an instant, I cast tens of wind cleaves, but he began to counter them with similar ones, making invisible shockwaves in the air.

"Ah... can’t you hold back a little... this... isn’t fair!"

A smirk tugged at my face as I began to overwhelm him physically, pushing him back more with every passing second.

Seeing Glutton’s smile breaking, I mocked:

"Where is all your confidence now, huh?!"

Suddenly, I threw him back and twisted his sword to the side before leaving my dagger and punching him in the face.

Of course, I used the sudden enhancement to deliver that punch!

"Argh!"

*BAM!*

Glutton was slammed into the ground, looking at me with irritation.

"That’s cheating. I’m not physically strong like you!"

I shrugged. "And I’m not talented in katana like you."

Glutton gritted his teeth before standing up.

"I’m a few weeks old! I have talent but you don’t give me time."

"And you are the genius that expanded his spatial awareness first, aren’t you?"

I chuckled and began to train more with him.

I hated to admit it, but he was really improving rapidly.

It wouldn’t take so long before he could defeat me in a close fight.

But that was a good thing. The question here wasn’t about what would happen if we fought against each other but together!

I could imagine myself as an archer that could teleport away from any enemy, and Glutton as a knight that could teleport to any enemy.

Together, we would cover each other’s weaknesses, and maybe someday, we would surpass the main characters in 2v1 fights!
