CHAPTER 153: NEW ABILITIES [1]

I scanned the handsome man before me, ignoring how he turned some tentacles into an outfit similar to the one I was wearing.

He was like an identical copy of me — which explained why he was so handsome — but with some subtle differences.

I had dark purple eyes and purple highlights running through many strands of my hair, but for him, these colors were azure.

And, of course, there was that stupid grin on his face. That bastard was ruining my perfect image!

"Hey, can’t you have your own fucking face?!"

Glutton’s grin vanished as he shrugged. "I can’t help with it, bro. I was born without a mother, thus I got only your look. Maybe this will change when, you know, I get a real mother. When this happens, I may give myself an appearance that blends your features."

I sighed as I couldn’t say anything.

I knew he could give himself another appearance whenever he wanted, but he was using the excuse of being technically my son to stay in that form. I couldn’t help but wonder what he would look like if I ended up loving Selene.

Wait, I just noticed... Did he just call me bro? What the fuck?!

I opened my mouth, but before I could say anything, I heard his voice in my head.

[I may get a wife and 5 children before he even kisses a girl.]

"...."

We both stared at each other for a moment, then in a shared agreement, we decided to let the matter go.

Hearing each other’s thoughts had been annoying for a long time, so we agreed to ignore the useless thoughts.

I shook my head and smirked. "You know what we can do now, right? What are you waiting for! Just do it!!"

Glutton gulped nervously, then turned his head away. "W-Why don’t we just keep that to the end... cough... I have many other things we need to test."

I thought about his suggestion for a moment before agreeing, I wasn’t in a hurry, anyway.

’But first, I have to get rid of the radiation.’

I wasn’t scared of it, it was completely harmless for me. However, it could harm the room itself if I kept it for too long.

Immediately, I opened my palm and manipulated both gravity and the cosmic radiation, causing the radiation to fall into my palm and be compressed into a small ball. I felt like doing such a thing was now easier as my talent in Space increased significantly, thanks to Glutton.

The invisible ball wasn’t perfectly compressed, because if I somehow compressed the cosmic radiation into a real, visible ball, I’d make a disaster.

From the knowledge of the Tier-6 skill I had used in the black market, I knew what the result would be.

A black hole.

The difference between Tier-5 and Tier-6 was just that vast. The moment I ascended to Tier-6, I’d definitely start spamming black holes!

But that was a matter for a later time.

With all the radiation gathered above my hand, I instantly launched it all at Glutton.

Without hesitation, he extended his arm as if ready to catch it, then, a few tentacles burst out of his palm and devoured the cosmic radiation.

Or in better terms, he stored it.

That was his first new ability, he was now a fucking storage!

"This isn’t bad at all, hehe."

In the combat test, I had to gradually fill the arena with radiation until it started to affect my opponents, but now, Glutton could simply unleash all that in an instant!

"Now show me the shape-shifting ability." I shouted, unable to hide my excitement.

With his tentacles still out, he smirked as the tentacles suddenly wrapped around each other, fusing together and turning into a katana.

"Ah... this will hurt as hell." Glutton frowned while examining the katana.

It looked sharp and durable, and its hilt was literally a part of Glutton’s hand, ensuring that it would never fall.

Unfortunately, this sword was just a result of an improvement in the shape-shifting ability, still a part of Glutton. In other words, if he used this katana to fight someone, it’d be like using his leg to block the other attacks.

Yeah, that would hurt as hell. Thankfully, I didn’t share his pain.

Glutton kept testing a few things like shields, spears, maces, and so on, he even transformed his entire body a few times, looking both excited and terrified by his new power. But as he was busy with all that, I had other thoughts.

"Glutton, how strong can you be as an arrow?"

Hearing my question, Glutton’s eyes widened in terror. "No. No no no! Don’t. Even. Think. About that! Do you really want to shoot me at someone?! This will be painful, dangerous, and humiliating!"

"But it can still work." I chuckled, seeing his face turning pale.

I didn’t know how turning him into an arrow would be useful in any way, but it was still good to know about that.

Who knows? I might find a good way to use this later. In the world of magic, everything could be used, and Glutton knew that so well.

As I was lost in my thoughts, my outfit suddenly vanished as a black mask appeared in Glutton’s hand.

Seeing Glutton grinning, I finally remembered that I wasn’t the only one who found a funny ability.

I immediately summoned Night Terror back as I frowned, hearing Glutton’s loud laughter.

"I can summon them, too! Who knows? I may find a good way to use this later. In the world of magic, everything can be used, and you know that so well."

I resisted the urge to attack him with a cosmic beam, not because I didn’t want to harm him, but because I knew he could dodge it quickly.

Just then, I thought about something that could make this ability useful.

"Glutton, do you want a soul-bound katana?"

"Huh? How are we supposed to get such..." his eyes suddenly widened as he quickly understood what I meant.

Yami was making a soul-bound artifact for me. He likely wanted to let it be a surprising gift, but I didn’t think he’d mind if I asked for something specific, would he?

What I wanted was to convince him to make a katana, and as a person with a soul-bound katana himself, he might be able to make a better result with making a katana.

"You should ask him next week." Glutton said as I nodded to him.

Anyways, other than the shape-shifting, the ability to take my soul-bound artifacts, the radiation storage, and the improvement in my Space talent, there were only two major abilities and a few small things.

I could now share his senses without losing control over my own body. This would put some pressure on my brain, but it was better than needing someone to protect my body.

His physical power was now slightly bigger than me — which only made me more willing to turn him into an arrow. He was still far from the monsters like Arthur, Zephyr, and Selene, but he was still growing.

And most importantly, his senses improved to be almost equal to my own senses. I was still more superior regarding my sight, and he was still more superior regarding his spatial awareness.

But all that didn’t matter at all.

I only wanted to see the major abilities he had.

"Use the first one, you can aim at any dummy." I ordered, waiting in anticipation for him to attack.

Glutton’s lips curled into a smirk. He teleported next to the closest dummy and put his right hand on its head.

All of a sudden, Glutton’s azure eyes glowed as a surge of electrical azure flames burst out of his palm and almost erased the dummy from existence silently before disappearing.

Ignore melting it, even the ashes were barely visible! This amount of power was simply insane!

But immediately, Glutton fell on the ground as he groaned: "I... I think two or three attacks at a time is all I can do."

I sighed as I raised a finger, a small trace of electrical azure flames flying above it, yet it consumed my aether rapidly.

"...Cosmic flames."

Glutton’s potential... was simply unimaginable.

From the knowledge I received, I knew that these flames were like an innate ability to Glutton rather than an affinity. It was like how I can manipulate blood and how snakes shoot venom.

These flames possessed immense heat, high voltage, and unbearable radiation. And as the owner of Glutton, I got this ability, too.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t like him.

If he could make two or three attacks, I could barely make one attack if I used everything. That included my mental power!

But that was the case for the current Glutton and me, who were only Tier-3 Exalted.

What about the future?

How far would we go after becoming Tier-4, Tier-5 or Tier-6?

The future suddenly looked bright. I didn’t know if I’d ever be strong enough to defeat people like Arthur in a one-on-one fight, but who said I was going to have a fair fight?

I had a fucking cosmic spirit!

Of course, I didn’t forget the second ability.

A genuine smile spread across my face as I looked at Glutton, who started to avoid eye contact, and extended my hand.

"Come on, you know it won’t hurt that much, right?"

Glutton glared at me with an expression that seemed to talk about how much he hated his life.

I just knew that if he hated something that much, then I was going to have a lot of fun.
