CHAPTER 139: KILLING KING ORUN

Swish!

Ropes with anchor hooks sprang into the air from all sides. Some latched onto my legs, others onto my hands, and even a few reached my neck.

"Fools!" I snarled and tried to pull free, but to my surprise, I couldn’t break loose.

"What?!" I gasped in shock and looked down—only to see several humans holding onto each rope.

There were at least twenty people pulling each rope, making my fifteen-point strength stat look like a joke.

"Impossible..." I mumbled in disbelief.

Only in movies have we seen humans pulling down beasts and even dragons through joint effort and crude methods like this. Never did it cross my mind that I would experience it in real life.

Swoosh!

Bam!

My eyes dilated as a sharp pain pierced my chest. My body shuddered beneath the ropes as I traced the arrow’s trajectory in search of the one responsible.

To my surprise, it was a young man in his early twenties. His brown hair was slicked back neatly, and his fair face was all I needed to know about his background.

This man was nobility from one of these three kingdoms.

He was dressed in fancy azure armor, a blue cape whipping in the wind. In his hands were a bow and two arrows already drawn.

Swoosh!

Bam!

Bam!

Before I could react, two more arrows flew forward—one pierced my throat, and the other stabbed into my skull.

The man’s lips moved, and though I couldn’t hear what he said, it wasn’t hard to read his lips:

"Fall."

Swoosh!

My body lost all strength, and in an instant, I was pulled down—striking the ground with a loud thud!

I lay there, unmoving, eyes still wide open. The world around me was blurry, my ears buzzing with static, but I couldn’t hear their triumphant cheers.

’They think they’ve won?!’

’Do they think the great one can be killed so easily?’

’Let me educate them!’

[Wavelength of Madness Activated.]

BOOOM!

A pillar of darkness laced with red energy surged into the skies. My wounds began healing so fast the new flesh forcefully ejected the arrows from my body. Dark crimson cracks spread across my eyes.

Bam!

Slapping the ground with my hands, I launched into the air and landed on my feet.

"KILL... KILL... KILL EVERYONE!"

A voice rang in my head, and the edges of my vision turned blood-red, coloring everything I saw.

Screams erupted around me—people crying like wild beasts—but nothing mattered more than the heroic figure standing atop a tent, his bow and arrow still aimed at me.

"I’LL KILL YOU FIRST!" My voice was overlapped by another hoarse, sinister tone.

Boom!

The ground beneath my feet shattered as I shot forward, directly at the man. His eyes widened in shock. He quickly released three arrows, expecting me to dodge—but I didn’t.

Peng!

Peng!

Peng!

All three bounced off my skin like they struck metal. The man’s eyes widened further, and he tried to move—but it was too late.

Bam!

His body remained standing on the tent while I crashed several meters away—my hand gripping his head by the hair. The look of surprise on his face remained even in death.

Of course, this was expected. Going against someone with 25 points in Strength and Speed was probably something he never dreamed of.

Silence...

There was silence on the battlefield. At first, I believed it was fear—but I was soon proven wrong.

"Kriiiiiissssssss, my son!" a distant voice wailed from the left. "He is my only son!"

Hundreds of meters away stood a buffalo of a man surrounded by soldiers. Many held him back as he struggled desperately to break free.

It was King Orun.

My eyes dropped to the head in my hand before shifting to the heroic body still standing on the tent.

’That buffalo birthed this hero?’ I was genuinely taken aback.

It was hard to believe such a useless man could produce such a capable offspring. If not for my overwhelming strength and speed, this kid wouldn’t have been easy to kill.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!" The voice returned, bringing a sharp ache to my head.

"KILL HIM! TURN HIM INTO A FUCKING PORCUPINE!" Orun’s screams weren’t helping either!

Swish!

The sound of several hundred arrows shooting into the air made my brows furrow. My veins pulsed with threatening red light.

[Blood Ignition Activated!]

[-20 HP]

[+5 Strength]

[+5 Speed]

[Strength: 30]

[Speed: 30]

ROAAAARRRRRR!

I screamed at the top of my lungs, unleashing a mix of red and black energy that obliterated all the arrows mid-air.

Their faces paled. Their bodies froze.

Like everyone before them, they were shaken by the capabilities of this god.

"KILL... KILL... KILL!"

Swoosh!

Bang!

I crashed into soldiers—their bodies exploded, blood and flesh flying in all directions. I stopped right in front of Orun, who fell on his back—his trousers suddenly soaked.

This man peed himself.

The soldiers backed away—but only for a moment. Then, one by one, they clenched their heads and screamed in pain, staggering about.

Sniff!

My gaze returned to Orun, drawn by the awful stench of his pee.

"You’re not even healthy, and you’re fighting desperately for survival?" I snarled in disgust—but what happened next caught me off guard.

"Foolish old man, you stink!" one of the soldiers roared, pulling out his sword and stabbing Orun.

"You stink—just like your attitude!" another screamed, plunging his blade into him.

"Always loud but dumb!" a third yelled, stabbing him too.

Instinctively, I took a step back and watched as more soldiers rushed forward—driving their blades into the old fool. It seemed they all resented this man, and just needed a little push to act on their darkest desires.

"What the hell are you doing?!" a soldier screamed with bloodshot eyes.

He charged with others behind him—and soon, the two sides clashed violently. Intense fights broke out all around me, as the soldiers began killing one another like lifelong enemies.

Petty grudges became blood feuds.

Annoyance turned into resentment.

Hesitation gave way to bloodlust.

And I stood at the center of the chaos, untouched.

Watching everyone within a four-hundred-meter radius tear each other apart like wild animals put a smile on my face.

This is power.
