Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master
Chapter 1295: A Plan To Deal With The Bomb
The last thing he'd want was for more Chimeras to come out. At the same time, he kept an eye over the portal, as it was time for it to send another batch of enemies.
The last batch was big enough to give a headache to all of them. So one more batch would prove a challenge in keeping him safe and uninterrupted. Even if almost half of the last batch got slaughtered, adding more would be troublesome.
Lingerie was dead now, plus most of her strongest masters and guards. Knowing this didn't make William feel much relief, as he knew more enemies would keep coming from the other side, as they were following a grand plan.
"This isn't the type of war to win by slaying the leading general," he muttered to himself, "we must keep slaughtering whatever comes out non-stop till the very end."
He took a broader look around, before turning to look at the deadly bomb in front of him. "The only ways to kill a bomb are by letting it detonate or defuse it… There is no other way, right?"
He kept muttering to himself after he gave his friends lots of instructions about future situations that he imagined they'd face later on. His focus was now entirely over solving this bomb problem he had.
"Even if this world's spirit power helped in delaying the inevitable, the bomb will still explode…" he didn't want to delude himself by thinking he and others were safe from the bomb. Admitting this point helped in clearing up his mind more, and he started to think faster.
"I can let it detonate in an empty area of the kingdom, or even find a huge dark master base and attack it… I can even use it to get rid of a hard enemy like a rival kingdom or something… But it'd still be a waste…"
The Silver Blue Facet of Death bomb was deadly, was scary, but it also presented William with an opportunity that he'd never let go!
The bomb was deadly, on a very wide scale, and that was for a good reason. The bomb acted by absorbing the spirit power from the world, storing it at a very high rate, while the silver flashing lines would work as an augmenting array, adding more purity and density to the absorbed spirit power.
This wasn't on a small scale; it was big enough to let the area devastated by the bomb to turn later on into a heaven of high-level spirit power.
In the outer world it was enough to start wars over areas left by these bombs. So William could imagine how huge of an impact this bomb here would have after detonation.
"I can't let it detonate in a foreign land, and I can't let it detonate freely here either… What a dilemma!"
Without knowing it, William subconsciously eliminated the option to detonate the bomb from his short list of options. He was contemplating how to let this bomb explode, without killing anyone on his side, while reaping all the benefits to himself.
"If not for the presence of this portal here…" William mulled over the portal, with his mind racing up with a failed plan.
What he thought about was using this underground city to let the bomb detonate. It was secluded, easily protected, and could be controlled by his guild later on. But the presence of the portal ruined everything, as he could lay protective formations around the city here, but that wouldn't protect the portal.
"Wait a minute…" Just as he was this close from dropping this thought, he suddenly stood up, looked around, with his eyes flashing in bright light, "this place… It can be done if done properly…"
William looked at this place from a general view, remembering how special the terrain here was. The portal was indeed part of the underground city, but it was like an underground part of it.
The portal was located at a lower level of the city, which made it like how the underground city was to Lara's city on the surface. "If we could fortify the ceiling, and the ground above, the walls and even lay more layers around the portal foundations and the portal itself, things would end up safely…"
William's mind started racing up. If this was in another situation, then William wouldn't have dared to consider such an idea at all. Yet the situation here was very unique.
William's knowledge came from the outer world, and all of his strongest defensive formations would need materials from the outer world to get laid down.
That was why he never questioned or second thought about this plan. He knew he could easily execute any formation with the lots of loot he got here.
"Oho, that also means bad news for all of you, hehehehe!" William couldn't help but turn towards Fang and Sloth around him. The two were very busy handling all the enemies around, and missed the evil look and smile on William's face.
If the two saw that look, they'd instantly feel terribly bad and worried! William rubbed his hands, before standing up, moved to hit the den another time as usual, then landed in front of Sloth and Fang.
"What are you doing here?!" Fang shouted the moment he spotted William in front of him.
"Go back, deal with that threat first, it's the foremost important task you have!" Sloth was gritting his teeth out of impatience and rage. The more he dealt with William, the more he felt the urge to kick that lad's butt and throw him away, far away from his sight, and from Anjie's as well.
"I need the two of you to do something else," William didn't give a heed to any of their complaints, "something far more important to save our lives!"
His last addition summed it all. William was here to give them a task related to that bomb. Realising this, the two swallowed what they wanted to say to him, fought for a little bit, killing masters alongside William, till they cleared enough space for the three of them to talk.
