Sabrina was also somewhat surprised, but she approached with a smile and said, "Elder Yates, you’re discharged?"

Elder Yates smiled kindly and nodded, "Yes, I was discharged this morning. I originally wanted to say goodbye to you all, but you and that young man from The Sheffield Family were busy. Coincidentally, I heard you would be here tonight, so I came specially to see you."

Sabrina nodded and inquired with concern, "How’s your leg recovering? Does it still hurt?"

She had been so preoccupied with visiting the military compound that she hadn’t had time to check in, and now, out of professional instinct, she was asking a series of questions.

Elder Yates answered truthfully, "It doesn’t hurt. The medicine you used is effective. I feel I’m recovering better each day, and soon, I reckon I’ll be able to climb up to the fifth floor in one go."

Sabrina was instantly amused.

As the two talked amicably, the guests nearby were dumbfounded.

Rumor had it that Elder Yates was someone who valued discipline highly, with a stern and old-fashioned disposition.

The few who had met him believed he was serious and imposing.

Even while approaching him to greet, they felt apprehensive inside.

But such a prominent figure was now kindly chatting and laughing with the ’Mrs. Hawthorne’ whom people criticized and looked down upon?

His demeanor unexpectedly brimmed with respect and appreciation!!!

The guests were shocked, and not far away, Jordan Hawthorne and his companions were also taken aback.

Especially Brooke, who simply couldn’t believe it.

What kind of figure was Elder Yates???

When he was young, he had countless accolades, even retiring injured, he still wielded considerable influence in the military.

Ordinarily, it was difficult for others to even glimpse him.

Yet now, here he was, on equal footing, chatting and laughing with Sabrina.

As Brooke struggled to accept this, Elder Yates was beckoning his granddaughter over, saying, "Poppy, come meet Dr. Nash, she’s the one who healed your grandfather’s leg. You haven’t been neglecting her tonight, have you?"

Poppy had been a bit shocked since earlier.

At home, her grandfather was still intimidating, even without being as stern as he was outside.

His educational discipline towards the younger family members was strict.

Occasionally, he would show a kind expression, but rarely, and never as appreciative and gentle as he was now with a young person!

Poppy finally ceased her disregard for Sabrina.

With a solemn expression, she said, "So you’re Dr. Nash! My grandpa and my parents have mentioned you before. I’ve always wanted to meet you, but I’ve been out of town and couldn’t come back... I didn’t expect we’d meet here in this way! My apologies for my earlier neglect of you, and thank you so much for treating my grandfather!"

Sabrina was unperturbed by her sudden change in attitude.

Regarding business, she understood.

"Miss Yates, you’re too kind. It’s my honor to treat the elder."

She responded with a smile.

Poppy’s goodwill towards her significantly increased upon hearing this.

Especially when she noticed that Sabrina was neither arrogant nor using this opportunity to claim credit, she admired her even more.

Just now, how could she have been so dismissive!!!

Poppy immediately declared, "Regarding the proposal from earlier, I will definitely review it carefully when I return. If there are any issues, I’ll promptly communicate with Dr. Nash. I believe we can indeed work happily together!"

The implication was... she was planning to collaborate with Sabrina.

Elder Yates chuckled, "That’s my oversight, but forming a friendship with Dr. Nash is your blessing. Promise not to neglect her again, alright?"

Towards Sabrina, Elder Yates initially might have regarded her as a junior.

But after learning of her ’outstanding achievements’ at the military compound, his perspective changed.

The young woman before him was praised even by superior leaders.

She might even be recruited into the military, serving the nation.

Her future is boundless!

Poppy sensed the seriousness implied in her grandfather’s tone, and her heart trembled, "Don’t worry, Grandpa, I definitely won’t do that again!"

Sabrina smiled warmly, "Elder Yates, you flatter me!"

As the three conversed, Josee Sheffield, having enjoyed the show, leisurely sauntered over and remarked, "Thank you, Eldest Miss Yates, for being willing to cooperate with our company. It’s a good thing the elder arrived in time to save your eyesight, or I would have had to send you to the hospital for a check-up."

Josee just smiled without speaking.
