Remarried Wife: She will Remarry, But Another Person
Chapter 69: The Green Tea Is Neglected
CHAPTER 69: CHAPTER 69: THE GREEN TEA IS NEGLECTED
That night, the two didn’t drink too much and went to bed after getting slightly tipsy.
The next day, Sabrina, as usual, sent Zara to school, only to unexpectedly meet Jordan Hawthorne at the entrance.
The man was dressed in a black suit, standing tall with an air of distance combined with the cold atmosphere, exuding a sense of unapproachable distance.
Sabrina pretended not to see him.
Yet, Jordan blocked her path and coldly said, "Didn’t you see me here?"
Sabrina’s tone wasn’t any better, "There’s nothing to say between us, unless President Hawthorne is here about the divorce."
Jordan’s forehead veins twitched twice, his eyes pressed with a chill, "I’m still Zara’s father. I have the right to inquire about her education. Today, I’m here to inspect her school to see if it’s suitable for her."
Sabrina laughed mockingly, "Why didn’t you care earlier? Now you remember? Is it really necessary for you to inspect whether the school is good or not?"
If he truly cared, he would have noticed Zara’s changes and naturally determined if it was good.
Now, even if he’s suddenly awakened by criticism and wants to make amends with Zara, it’s too insincere.
While the two were talking, Dylan Quinlan came out to pick up the little one.
When he saw Jordan, he merely raised an eyebrow and passed by him, greeting Sabrina.
"Good morning, Miss Nash, and little Zara."
Zara obediently greeted, "Hello, Brain Master~"
Dylan smiled at the soft little voice and was about to take Zara’s hand.
Unexpectedly, Jordan was quicker, picking up the little one and saying, "You’re Mr. Quinlan? I’m Zara’s dad, and I’m here today to look at the school. Your school shouldn’t mind parents coming in for a tour, right?"
His tone carried the subtle pressure of someone in a higher position.
Sabrina frowned, about to stop him, but saw Dylan calmly smile, "Of course, we don’t mind. We always welcome parents to come and inspect."
Jordan said coldly, "That’s good."
Then, without waiting for a response from the two, he walked in holding Zara.
Sabrina watched that straight back, her expression not looking good.
Seeing this, Dylan gently reassured her, "Dr. Nash, don’t worry, I’m here."
Then he also stepped into the school.
Sabrina didn’t want too much interaction with Jordan, plus she had an appointment with Eleanor Quinlan for treatment, so she could only leave things to Dylan.
As Jordan toured, his gaze was almost entirely critical.
Dylan noticed but didn’t mind, responsibly introducing the school.
After a round, Jordan looked visibly displeased, "While your school’s facilities are decent, the varied family backgrounds of the children inside are not conducive to Zara’s growth.
I want to withdraw Zara. The Hawthorne Family can find a better school for her!"
Hearing this, Dylan calmly smiled, "President Hawthorne, if you’ve seriously understood Zara’s condition, you should know she doesn’t need so-called aristocratic education. She needs an environment that can heal her psychological health and provide her care!
Autism isn’t something that can be cured overnight. It requires a long period and enough patience!"
Jordan coldly questioned, "I can hire the best psychologist for her. I think, surely, they’d be better than the school’s teachers."
Dylan smiled subtly, "Oh really? But from my observation, Zara only improved after joining our school... Before enrollment, her autism was so severe that she couldn’t communicate normally with people!
Spending more money doesn’t necessarily mean better results. Surely, President Hawthorne understands such a simple principle, right? Furthermore..."
His tone suddenly turned slightly indifferent, "It was Miss Nash who brought Zara here. If you want to withdraw her, she must handle it personally!"
Jordan frowned, "I’m her father. I have rights too."
Dylan remained unfazed, "That’s our school’s rules and regulations!"
Jordan was instantly infuriated.
He coldly called Sabrina.
But couldn’t get through.
The number was apparently blocked.
...
Sabrina wasn’t aware of this.
She was focused on treating Eleanor Quinlan, never checking her phone, and only saw the blocked notifications after finishing.
She figured he couldn’t be calling for anything good.
And indeed, it was as she suspected.
Not long after, Dylan called to inform her, "Zara’s father wants to process her withdrawal. I didn’t agree, and said it requires your personal presence."
Sabrina was furious inside, but her words to Dylan were all gratitude, "Thank you, Mr. Quinlan, I’m sorry for the trouble, but don’t bother with the transfer issue he mentioned."
Dylan didn’t mind.
As a psychologist, he could see that Jordan’s concern for Zara was only superficial.
Especially after the ruckus at that birthday party, as a responsible teacher, he wouldn’t let the other party do as they pleased.
After hanging up with Dylan, Sabrina left The Quinlan Family and took a trip to the research institute.
In the evening, she went as scheduled to pick up Zara from school.
The little one was still very happy, sharing school stories with her on the way home.
When they got home, Tessa brought a surprise, "I helped inquire about a house. Originally, I wanted to get the developer’s lowest price, but they told me there’s a homeowner who is moving the entire family abroad and is eager to sell a newly renovated unit at a great price, just in the next building!
I checked it out for you. The decor style is great, should match your preferences. Want to have a look?"
Sabrina naturally agreed.
So, the two of them soon took the little one to see it.
It was even more of a surprise.
The house was a spacious top-floor unit with four or five rooms, excellent lighting, and the view from above was delightful.
Later renovations could include a study, a studio for Zara, a piano room, and even a separate room for Flash!
Sabrina Hayes was very satisfied after viewing, and immediately asked her best friend about the price, "How much is this house?"
Her best friend smiled and said, "It originally required more than ten million, but now it’s selling for ten million! Considerably lower than the original price!"
Sabrina barely hesitated, "I’ll take it!"
Previously, there was the fee introduced by Josee Sheffield, along with the treatments from the military, including this payment from the Quinlan Family for medical costs.
Luckily, it was enough to save up this amount!
"Alright, I’ll handle the paperwork for you. All you need to do is sign, and don’t worry about the rest."
"Okay."
Entrusting the matter to her friend, Sabrina was at ease!
The next day, it was the weekend, Zara didn’t have to go to school, and the two of them found professionals to check the new house’s environmental safety.
Once confirmed safe, they made a special trip to a furniture store to pick out various furniture and household items.
After paying the deposit and scheduling delivery, they returned home.
After dinner, Sabrina suddenly received a call from Nanny Warren, "Young Madam, the young master asked me to come over to your place to take care of Miss Zara. Can you give me the address?"
Sabrina frowned.
Jordan Hawthorne... what is he up to again?
She instinctively wanted to refuse, but Nanny Warren was already speaking, "Young Madam, my salary is paid by the young master. If I don’t take care of Miss Zara, I’ll lose my job.
Could you perhaps let me come over for the sake of the years I’ve been dedicated? I promise to continue taking good care of the young miss!"
Sabrina eventually relented.
Nanny Warren indeed was responsible and treated Zara very well.
If she came over, it wouldn’t be a problem.
And if she got busy later, there would be someone to help look after Zara.
As for the salary, she would cover it herself then.
That would also avoid getting entangled with Jordan Hawthorne!
So she replied, "Alright, you can come over."
Nanny Warren was overjoyed, and came over the next morning with her belongings ready.
When she saw little Zara, she was quite excited, "Little miss, I missed you."
Zara was also very happy to see her.
After all, Nanny Warren had been taking care of her for nearly four years, so there was some emotional reliance!
After a long moment of intimacy, Nanny Warren went to clean the new house.
Over the next few days, furniture arrived one by one, and they could finally officially move in.
For the new housewarming, Sabrina instructed Nanny Warren to cook something delicious, wanting to invite her best friend over for a little celebration.
Nanny Warren immediately got busy.
Sabrina didn’t stay idle either, managing various plants on the balcony.
Even though it was winter, this small little space was full of new life.
Almost as if signifying a beautiful new beginning!
At Hawthorne Group.
Jordan Hawthorne was in the middle of work but inexplicably distracted for some reason.
Brooke Sinclairs came in to report on her work, "The medical research lab has rushed to completion, do you want to take a look?"
Jordan Hawthorne, uninterested, responded plainly, "No need, you can handle it."
Brooke Sinclairs’ expression faltered, somehow feeling wronged.
These days, she could sense Jordan Hawthorne’s indifference towards her.
It started right after the birthday party ended.
Sonny was at the hospital getting vaccinated, and Jordan had not bothered to check in even once.
That child kept asking why Dad Hawthorne hadn’t come to see him!
Over these days, she had been dropping hints intentionally or otherwise, yet Jordan Hawthorne acted oblivious.
Brooke Sinclairs felt inexplicably panicked, stepping closer to him and taking the initiative to hold his hand, acting coy, "Jordan, Sonny misses you a bit, why don’t you come with me tonight to see him? He’d be thrilled!"
Jordan discreetly withdrew his hand, disinterested, saying, "I’ll think about it when I’m free, I have some other things to do first."
Saying this, he stood up, grabbed his nearby coat, and stepped out.
Brooke Sinclairs stood there, stunned, full of disbelief.
It was the first time he was so cold towards her!
Something wasn’t right!
Absolutely something must be wrong!!!
With that thought, Brooke Sinclairs straightforwardly sought Chase Lynch, "Is there any gathering that Jordan has tonight?"
Chase Lynch hesitated for a moment, then explained the situation, "No, he should be going to pick up the young miss from school! The missus... I mean, Miss Sabrina, has sent the young miss to a new school, and the President seems a bit uneasy about it."
Brooke Sinclairs nodded, but anxiety crept into her heart.
When did Jordan start caring about that little fool?
Hadn’t he always been indifferent before?
Could it be... Sabrina Hayes’s divorce threat made him waver?
Brooke Sinclairs had been confident, but now she was no longer sure.
Especially with Jordan Hawthorne dragging his feet on the divorce, it was entirely too suspicious.
He clearly doesn’t love Sabrina Hayes, so why isn’t he keen on divorcing?
