Returning to Parents' Seventeen
Chapter 25 He Clearly Disagrees
CHAPTER 25: CHAPTER 25 HE CLEARLY DISAGREES
Xu Chuning did not know about this matter at first, as she did not have her own mobile phone and often shared one with You Shuzhen. Thus, other than occasionally using the phone to log into QQ and look up some information, she rarely browsed other pages.
She didn’t know much about the campus forum, having only heard other students mention it and having overheard people say behind her back that she looked poor, like a pauper.
She had never thought that Shen Yubai would help delete those posts discussing her.
It was during the rest at noon that Deng Xitong told her about the deletion of the posts.
The three of them had lunch together again at noon. After lunch, they returned to the classroom. Xu Chuning, who was severely sleep-deprived, started to catch up on sleep, Shen Sinian began to write a reflection paper for the fight from the day before, and Deng Xitong stealthily read novels with her head down on the desk.
After reading for a while, she got bored and casually opened the campus forum. As soon as she clicked in, she saw someone mysteriously asking in the forum — "Has anyone noticed that several posts have been deleted?"
Deng Xitong raised her eyebrows, her curiosity through the roof, and without hesitation, she clicked to open it.
After reading, Deng Xitong guessed from the description in the post that the person they were referring to was Xu Chuning. Surprised, she searched for Xu Chuning’s name and couldn’t find any related information at all.
Deng Xitong was astonished for a few seconds, turned her head to look at the sleeping Xu Chuning, and was taken aback.
In order to confirm whether it was true, Deng Xitong borrowed a mobile phone from Chen Mengyao in the front row, logged into the campus forum, and checked it out. As expected, the posts related to Xu Chuning that they had scrolled through and seen before, were all deleted.
"Xitong," Chen Mengyao turned her head and chatted with Deng Xitong, in a hushed voice, "Could it have been Chuning who deleted them?"
Deng Xitong shook her head, "She doesn’t even have a phone."
Chen Mengyao was surprised, "Then who could it be? Could it be him?"
She slightly lifted her chin, pointing at Shen Sinian, who sat behind Xu Chuning.
Deng Xitong looked back and speculated, "It’s not impossible."
The two discussed for a while, and then Xu Chuning suddenly woke up.
Deng Xitong looked at her nervously, "Did we wake you?"
Xu Chuning was startled and rubbed her bleary eyes, "No."
She had slept rather well and hadn’t heard the conversation between Deng Xitong and the others at all.
Hearing this, Deng Xitong relaxed, "That’s good."
After exchanging glances with Chen Mengyao, she thought about it and still decided to mention the forum incident to Xu Chuning.
After listening, Xu Chuning was stunned, "All deleted?"
Deng Xitong nodded, "You didn’t know about this, right?"
Xu Chuning nodded, "Do you know who did it?"
Chen Mengyao pointed backwards, whispering, "We suspect it was him."
Xu Chuning turned back, and Shen Sinian, sensing something, looked up, "What’s up?"
He was currently racking his brains for content for the reflection paper.
Xu Chuning looked down and noticed that Shen Sinian’s handwriting was very beautiful, vigorous and powerful, and exuded an unrestrained air from the inside out.
"It’s nothing," Xu Chuning stared at the reflection paper in front of her, "Your handwriting is really nice."
Shen Sinian looked at her and said softly, "My mom’s requirement."
Xu Chuning: "Ah?"
Would her future self demand so much from Shen Sinian?
Shen Sinian explained, "She said that her own handwriting is ugly and she regretted not practicing calligraphy when she was young. So, when I was five, she threw me to a calligraphy teacher to ensure I practiced well and didn’t grow up to have regrets."
Xu Chuning: "..."
Indeed, it sounded like something she would do; her own handwriting now... was indeed not pretty.
With this thought, Xu Chuning touched her nose, gave a dry laugh, and said, "Your mom is doing it for your own good."
Shen Sinian glanced at her and reluctantly agreed, "I think so too."
Deng Xitong listened to their conversation, feeling a bit confused.
When Xu Chuning turned back, Deng Xitong couldn’t help but ask, "Why don’t you ask if it was him who did it?"
"Definitely not," Xu Chuning said.
Deng Xitong and Chen Mengyao widened their eyes and asked in unison, "How do you know?"
"...He was probably writing a reflection paper at noon, and he doesn’t even know about what happened on the forum." Xu Chuning analyzed with them, "He’s a transfer student, how would he know about those things on the school forum?"
Deng Xitong: "...Oh, right."
Chen Mengyao whispered, "Besides him, who else could it be?"
Both turned their heads to look at Xu Chuning, who blinked dazedly and slowly shook her head, "I don’t know."
In fact, a name did flash through her mind, but she felt it was unlikely to be him. Shen Yubai should not be so idle, and given their current relationship, he had no reason to help her with this.
"Maybe it was some kind-hearted person?" Lin Dandan, who sits in front of Xu Chuning and had awakened, joined in the conversation.
Chen Mengyao pondered for a moment, "It’s not impossible."
Since the four of them couldn’t come to a conclusion about the deleted forum post, the topic ended there.
There was still some time before class, so Xu Chuning simply took out her textbook to review, but although her eyes were on the book, her thoughts drifted away. She was still thinking about the forum matters mentioned by Deng Xitong and the others.
After some thought, Xu Chuning asked Sinian for his phone to log in to the school forum and search for her own name.
Indeed, as Deng Xitong and the others had said, there was no trace of the name Xu Chuning.
"Ningning," Shen Sinian, who was halfway through writing his reflection paper, saw her daydreaming and reached out to pat her shoulder, "What’s wrong? Is something the matter?"
Xu Chuning shook her head, "Nothing, have you finished your reflection?"
Shen Sinian: "..."
He looked forlorn at Xu Chuning, "Don’t mention the sad stuff."
Xu Chuning chuckled, "Shall I help you check it?"
Shen Sinian’s eyes lit up, "Can you help me write it?"
"..." Xu Chuning gave him a half-smiling look, "What do you think?"
Feeling Xu Chuning’s authoritative vibe, Shen Sinian awkwardly touched his nose and handed her the reflection paper, muttering, "I can’t write it."
He was acting spoiled with Xu Chuning.
Xu Chuning paused, took his reflection paper to check, and fell silent.
"What does that expression mean?" Deng Xitong was curious, "What did he write in his reflection paper?"
Xu Chuning took a deep breath, "May I show it to Xitong?"
Shen Sinian idly twirled a pen in his hand, his tone casual and nonchalant, "Feel free to look."
He had no shame in this regard.
Deng Xitong immediately took the reflection paper, read it, and... fell silent as well.
"Shen Sinian," Deng Xitong couldn’t help calling him, "Is this a reflection paper?"
Shen Sinian replied confidently, "Yep, doesn’t it look like it?"
"If you submit this reflection paper," Deng Xitong said very seriously, "you’ll infuriate the Dean of Students."
How could someone write in their reflection paper: Because xxx student was too noisy, disrupting classroom discipline, I couldn’t help but hit him, and then the Dean of Students asked me to write a reflection paper to reflect on my own behavior.
This wasn’t reflecting; it was clear defiance.
His dissatisfaction was all written in the reflection paper.
