Revenge Wears Red Lipstick
Chapter 115: What Were You Saying?
CHAPTER 115: WHAT WERE YOU SAYING?
Eva was speechless. Marcus was planning on burying her alive in a barrel filled with cement and throwing it into a grave.
This was how William’s brother, the current president of Solvarra’s body was discovered.
Before William was president, his older brother had been in that seat for years, only for him to go missing for a few months. And when he was found, his body had completely decomposed, found in a barrel filled with cement.
Mr. De Rossi had killed him, and there was a high chance that William was involved in it too. His brother’s death allowed him to ascend to the presidential seat in less than a year.
And now, Mr. De Rossi planned to use that same method on her.
"You’re a disgusting old man," she spouted, venom lingering on each word.
Mr. De Rossi wasn’t the least bothered by her comment, and she didn’t expect him to be. A lot of people must have already cursed him for all the evil he’d caused, so he was probably immune to it by now.
However, Eva couldn’t stand still and just watched them prepare her death and serve it to her on a silver platter like she was a dog.
She needed to escape, and even if she didn’t, it was better to die trying.
She watched as the men started digging her grave, exactly where they would put her.
There were two men by her sides, one standing at her left and the other standing at her right.
She counted heads. There were a total of twelve men, including Mr. De Rossi, each with a gun. Obviously, she couldn’t fight them since her hands were bound right behind her, but she could run.
However, if she did, it would only take one bullet to shoot her down. She glanced at the thick forest. It was already dark out with only the moon and their flashlights as their source of light.
A car couldn’t pass through the direction she was going to take because of how thick the trees were. Which only meant they would chase her on their legs. But then, these men all had long legs and could close distance if she wasn’t fast enough.
’I guess it’s time to run like a girl,’ she thought to herself, biting her lips nervously. But this wasn’t the time to be scared.
It was either running or getting buried alive. And the latter was not an option. Ryan would have already figured out she’d been kidnapped by now, but finding her would probably take hours, which she didn’t have on her hands now.
"I need to ease myself," she suddenly said, gaining all the hooligans’ attention on her, including the wretched old man. "Take me to ease myself."
"You can do it here," the man standing by her right grunted, glaring down at her.
"Are you kidding me right now?" She questioned. "You want me to pull my jeans down and ease myself in front of all of you?" Then she looked at Mr. De Rossi. "You’re already going to kill me. Might as well grant my last wish."
Mr. De Rossi simply stared at her suspiciously. He wasn’t going to let her go just like that.
He still couldn’t underestimate her. She was still a dangerous woman and right now, she was probably thinking of ways to escape.
"Follow her into the forest so she can ease herself. Give her space but make sure that your eyes are on her," he instructed.
The hooligan standing at her right-hand side nodded in understanding and grabbed her arm so aggressively as if she was the cause of his life problems. His grip on her was strong and suffocating, but she didn’t complain.
He was the one coming with her, and it was better than having two men at the same time.
He led her into the forest, the leaves crunching under their feet. The distance wasn’t much as she could still hear the sound of the shovel attacking the ground, preparing the whole place where she would be put in.
She glanced around, the trees were thick, accompanied by the hooting of an owl and crickets.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" The man questioned, barely his teeth at her. Surprisingly, they were white which she could see because of the moonlight.
"Look away," she said.
He gritted his teeth before giving her his back.
She couldn’t grab anything with her hands since they were bound behind her back, so now, she has to depend on her legs.
Her heart was pounding against her chest, fear gripping her the more steps she took. She needed to run, but then she recalled that the man was holding a gun. He was just one person. If she’s able to knock him down and take his gun, she can be able to shoot some men down, buying her some time before she finally escapes.
Instead of sneaking away, she snuck towards him instead, keeping her feet light so that the leaves wouldn’t crush beneath them.
She dug her heels into the ground, packing up some leaves and dust. She needed to distract him and this was the only way she could think of.
After thirty seconds, the man turned. "Aren’t you done—"
He didn’t get the chance to complete his sentence when Eva’s feet went flying to his face, the sand and leaves flying into his face immediately, blocking his view.
His hands went to his face, trying to remove the sand from his face and Eva took the opportunity to snatch the gun from him before he could realize it.
"You little bitch!!" He cursed.
"You’d better keep your voice down, else I’m going to shoot your guts out, and before your friends will come out here to help you, you’d already be dead by then," she threatened, the gun in her hands behind her, pointing it at him.
He saw her state and couldn’t help but laugh.
"Look at yourself. You can even aim right in that state."
Although her back was turned to him just so she could aim right, she was offended by his words.
Thankfully, the gun already had a silencer but they were still close to the others. She jumped on the leaves, aiming for his leg and she shot.
The man fell to his knees, his leg bleeding.
"What were you saying?" She questioned, her eyes bloodshot now.
