He felt like it would be too many to count on how many skills he has by now.
Looking at the new skill, Takumi has gotten a new pull for skills from Demon Slayer. By the challenge he half guessed it would be a breathing technique or a slayer mark. Instead.
[Demon genes]: like the progenitor of demon, the User gains all the attributes and abilities from Muzan Kibutsuji.
He could be happy, mostly from the endless regeneration and stamina. Plus, he can become immortal, but the drawbacks were too obvious not to look past. First is the weakness to sunlight which is a massive cripple to him.
Second is his thirst for blood. As a demon, he can only consume it to survive. Takumi still considers being able to eat human food to be a gift too good to let go.
And last, any sun-breathing user could take him down, should any. But in this world, Takumi is a hundred percent safe since none of those people exist.
"Too dangerous for me to use. I'll let you take it then."
Too good to pass and dangerous to use, so he gave it to his Takichi body. The effect is immediate as Takichi's skin begins to turn a pale white, his green pupil turns a red color, and the once round pupil turns into a slit eye.
The transformation lasted only for a second when he got up. Takichi's body rises up, twitching.
"Shit, I might be underestimating this a bit." Realizing what's about to happen, Takumi has only a moment to think as the hunger in his clone body makes it harder for him to control.
'I'm going to either sedate him or...' he took out a gate key in hand, activating it.
Feeling an intense craving for flesh taking over, the mind of Takichi went muddy. Feeling like he was choking, before being tossed away. A white light flashed in his eyes as he was thrown out of the room and into another world.
"Shit." Takumi cursed, it wasn't his best call. But it was the one he could handle. Had it been Takune who got the power, then it would be so much harder.
"He'll be alright."
The two of them walk into a kitchen as Takumi make for himself some drinks to cool down from all the fighting.
*Ding* there was a bell ringing on his door.
"Hmm, is she back early ?" He wasn't expecting Tojiko to return home so soon. But it wasn't strange, she had always tried to finish her job so she could be by his side as soon as possible. She was completely attached to him, like she needed him, always, at all times.
But when he reached the door, there was no one. Only a mail was sent to him.
"From the state government huh." He read the sender as he went to pick it up.
----------
It was close to eight in the evening when Tojiko finally came home.
"Hi, darling." His lover cooed softly, she went in for a kiss, which he was happy to give.
"How was your night, baby?" Seating herself in the kitchen, her eyes noticing the mail on the counter before sitting at the waiting dinner.
They would talk, asking each other about their day. After dinner, when he was washing the dishes. Toji decided it was time for her to ask.
"You seemed, unwell. Is something wrong, honey?"
Unintentionally, his head perked up.
"Yeah, there was this mail that came up." He said it slowly, in a way that wouldn't make his voice shaky to hear. But she detected it anyway and she did not let him finish talking before getting up.
Suddenly, the wind picked up in the room despite Takumi not opening any window. He knew; Tojiko came back into the room with the letter in hand.
The content inside wasn't anything pleasing to read. Drying his hand, Takumi quickly places it over her shoulder. Just as the letter almost got ripped in two.
"It's okay babe. It's not that bad." His green eyes met her cold gaze. "Explain it to me then, how are you going to marry someone not that bad."
In this world, any man who did not get married at a certain age will be called by the government, and they will schedule those men for mates. Basically setting up a forceful marriage.
That is from what Takumi found, originally he was shocked. And franticly try to find a solution, researching for hours.
"It's okay. We can just go there tomorrow and settle it." He kept eye contact with her, "If the government knew I am married, then this whole mess could be solved."
Tojiko froze, your words repeating in her mind until she finally made sense of them, "yeah, that's right. Of course." Calming down.
She pulled him in a hug, he let her chin rest into the crook of his neck as she ran her hand through Takumi's hair in an attempt to calm down.
"It's ok baby, nothing's gonna happen to me." He whispered. Tojiko said nothing as she pulled him up from the table by the hands and led him to the bedroom.

This office is pretty bleak. The Mandatory Assignment Facility, that is. Emphasize the "Man" part. It's not like he was one of those extremists who have a problem with getting assigned, he is just comfortable with what he has. And also worried that whoever was assigned to him did not get cut in half gojo style. Getting assigned to a wife would be a thing any man from his world would love; in Takumi's case, he would have to pass since he literally has someone who is irreplaceable.
He is just hopeful that he can change their decision. While sitting on the bench, he watches a line of nervous-looking femboys. That's right, femboys. Not an actual man in sight, he checked. Twice, and there is no normal-looking guy in here. Just boys in a skirt, with all types of expression. Scared, worried, and one or two with a "degenerate" face, which reminded him of the man in his old world. With such a large gap in the amount of available men, they would be "coerced" into having to share between maybe three or four women at the same time.
'They would love to be here.' He thought as he finally reached the reception desk. “Excuse me, there seems to be a mistake here. I am already in a relationship."
A huge sigh escapes the staff member’s mouth. “All assignments are final,” he says.
“This is a special case though. Can’t you get us a manager or something?” he asked, watching the boy dial his manager, "she'll be seeing you in her office."
Takumi and Tojiko were then invited into an office room.
“So, what can I do for you?” she says under a businesswoman's mask. Hearing Takumi explaining his situation made that mask crack away.
"Your wife, Tojiko Zennin. Correct ?" The woman typed something on her computer, "I apologize, this does not happen often. Usually when we make this type of decision, the clan also gets involved-" he let the woman trail off.
"Ah, yes. Here we go. Just need to sign here please." A paper document was pushed in front of him.
"A marriage certificate ?"
"Yup. Before, we used to have a whole weđing ceremony, but every once in a while, a man decided to use that chance to run away, so it was shut down."
"I see." This was surprisingly more straightforward than he imagined. Picking up a pen, Takumi and Tojiko signed it right then and there.
"Thank you. I pronounce you to be wife and husband."
The woman escorts them out, Tojiko exits with a seemingly brighter attitude than he ever sees her in.
