CHAPTER 226: CHAPTER 226: THE LONG LOST MEMORIES

That is exactly what she did. Leng Pan pulled her husband into the room and went straight to the bed that looked as if it had been made using expensive wood but wasn’t sure what type of wood it was.

From the memories she had regained about her past as Commander Leng, she knew that wood was something precious and rare in that era.

It was because many plants and trees had mutated and could no longer be used for ordinary situations like making furniture and building houses.

For her past self to have obtained enough wood to make a bed, a dressing table, and a rocking chair showed how high her position was.

It could also show how hard she worked to have everything back to normal.

It was such a pity to imagine that in a world that was bursting with life force and trees and plants of all origins and types could turn barren to the point of treasuring a simple wooden bed.

She didn’t want a repeat of the past in this life. Thus, she vowed to work harder and become stronger so that she and those in her corner could eliminate whatever was invading their world.

Even though she said nothing, Lu Zhen could imagine her sadness from her expression.

He had also remembered their memories, so he was aware of how zombies and monsters had once turned their world into their playing ground and almost sent humanity into extinction.

"Don’t worry, Baby, we won’t let something like that happen again.

We will eliminate them before they get a foothold in our world. Any traitors who join them won’t be shown mercy either." Lu Zhen wasn’t ready to watch his wife sacrifice herself again so that the last of humanity could survive.

So, anyone he deemed to be a threat would be killed. He would rather kill a thousand by mistake than let one traitor succeed.

"Mmm...let’s go to bed. Now we have a bedroom here and won’t have to worry about many things in the future." Leng Pan let go of her sadness and decided to enjoy the moment with her husband.

"Okay then." Lu Zhen also didn’t want to linger on things that made them sad and ruined their good mood.

Hence, he took off his clothes and got into bed. Leng Pan followed suit and joined her husband in bed.

The first half of the night in their new bedroom was spent making love to each other and strengthening the bond between them as lovers and partners.

As the two lovers reached a climax in their lovemaking, they felt as if something in their heads had exploded.

As their pleasure points made them feel as if they were in cloud nine, it felt as if a wall inside their brains had crumbled as well.

However, this feeling was overshadowed by their ecstasy from the sex and no one thought about it before going to sleep.

However, when they woke up the next morning, everything was clear. The wall that had been blocking their past memories had crumbled and they could remember everything from their past.

In their past lives, they had both been commanders in the army formed to combat zombies and aliens.

Aliens who had their planet somehow exploding were looking for a new place to call home and they had chosen earth.

However, they couldn’t just invade earth without knowing whether they could survive or not. That was why they had sent the seeded meteorites to earth which carried the zombie virus.

The aliens had the same survival requirements as zombies and if zombies could survive, they would too.

The virus was meant to be both a test and a weapon to weaken human strength on earth in case they decided to fight back.

The earth was a high-tech world in those ancient times and even though they couldn’t find a cure for the zombie virus, they found a way to isolate survivors in one city while the rest of the world became a battlefield to eliminate all the zombies and aliens that had invaded after confirming their survival.

The war had lasted over a decade and eventually, humans were on the verge of losing when scientists came up with a method of preserving the consciousness of some volunteers and sending the remaining survivors inside the city to a different space before obliterating the earth and everything in it.

Leng Pan had been a pioneering commander in the army that fought the aliens and intelligent zombies.

She had also volunteered to seal her consciousness in case the zombie virus ever invaded the new world again.

However, at the time, she had not thought that such a day would come because she had thought that they had eliminated all the threats on earth, including the human traitors who had led to the collapse of earth.

In fact, it was because of the traitors that they had lost the war. Some humans driven by greed and power had joined the aliens and zombies to syphon resources from the world and turn humans into beggars in their own land.

With humans spying on them and reporting all their plans to the aliens, Leng Pan, Lu Zhen, and other humans in power decided to pull all stops and eliminate the zombie virus and the aliens all together.

They even found a way to use the seeded meteorites for themselves in a way that they could give power to humans and strengthen them instead of being used by the aliens.

The extracted memories and consciousness were buried in some of the meteorites and getting them meant recovering those memories and some of the former strength.

That was the reason why Leng Pan and Lu Zhen started remembering things from their past lives when they touched the meteorite.

It was also the reason they would gain more power every time they came into contact with it.

The downside of this plan was that if the meteorite fell into the wrong hands, it would bring an even bigger disaster.
