"But let’s wait until most of the people have left before going to talk to the Lu family. We don’t want to bring them unnecessary trouble." Xu Man still had some rationality.

Some people were already jealous of them for having too many supplies and since Leng Pan had made it clear that she was protecting them, those who coveted their supplies couldn’t do anything for fear of rubbing Leng Pan the wrong way

Her incident of torturing the gang led by Boss Wang had spread to other communities and not just theirs. It would be a problem if more people realized that they weren’t leaving with the others.

"Of course, I am sure. But we found out at the wrong time. With the people moving around so much, they are just going to get mixed up.

We don’t know who it is yet and which floor or apartment they live in. It will be difficult for us to locate them if they move to the base." Vortex said with a vexed expression.

They had been following around looking all over the city for the person who took that special meteorite and it had taken them weeks.

They were nearly giving up when suddenly a large energy signature of that meteorite appeared in this direction. They had moved quickly and arrived outside the community, but by then, the energy signature had subsided a lot and they could only locate the building but not the specific apartment.

But at least now they had a lead. Even if these people move to the base, they could locate those who lived in this building and find the catalyst core that Commander Qui was almost going mad urging them to find.

They were starting to suspect that there was more to that meteorite than met the eye. It was illogical for Commander Qui to send such an elite squad and deploy so many resources just to get back that meteorite that he claimed could help them improve their abilities.

"Let’s hope we find them soon because the commander is really getting to a boiling point. If we don’t find that meteorite in the next few days then we might be in big trouble." Silk said while looking outside the balcony with an unfocused gaze.

The feeling he had before was becoming intense. He was also questioning himself more and more whether he was doing the right thing.

He kept feeling as if something was amiss. Something was definitely wrong somewhere and he had a feeling that it had something to do with that meteorite.

It was as if something in his heart was telling him that he shouldn’t let the commander get his hands on that meteorite.

He didn’t know why he had this feeling, but he just had it. His sixth sense seemed to have become stronger with the increase in his superpowers and it had never let him down.

He was now contemplating whether he should talk to his teammates about not delivering the meteorite to the commander even if they found it, but he was afraid that he was the only one with such thoughts.

If he said his thoughts out loud and others betrayed him, then he would be in big trouble.

After they were done talking, Vortex walked over to the balcony to observe the people moving about from a distance.

They had already moved into an empty apartment in the same community as Lu Zhen.

They had followed the energy signature to this community but still couldn’t find the person. However, for some reason, Vortex felt that it was a good thing.

Before she could watch for long, the special phone placed on the table rang.

Everyone perked up their ears and looked at each other. They were practically arguing with their eyes over who was going to pick it up.

Because they didn’t want to delay too much and make the commander angry, Blaze, who had been the original person in charge of the mission, went to pick up the phone.

As soon as it was connected, a familiar rough voice came through the receiver.

"What took you so long to answer?"

"I am sorry Commander Qui, we were watching people moving from the community we are in and heading to the Northern base.

We found the signature of the meteorite. We have already located the exact building but the signature disappeared again before we could pinpoint the apartment.

Now that people are moving from that building, we were watching to prevent the person carrying the catalyst core from disappearing again." Blaze hurriedly explained lest the commander increase their punishment.

What both the commander and the others listening to the phone call at Blaze’s side didn’t know was that as soon as Blaze mentioned the word ’catalyst core’ an alarm had rang in Lu Tao’s little study.

Everyone had been sitting together in the living room when they heard the alarm.

Lu Tao ran back to the study to check and found the equipment he had set up to flag down the word catalyst core had been activated.

A phone conversation was being recorded. Lu Tao turned around and went back to the living room to call his family.

Since Lu Zhen and Leng Pan had already come clean about the space and the meteorite, Lu Tao thought that there was no need to hide anything anymore.

So he just called the whole family to go to the study and listen to the conversation between Commander Qui and Blaze.
