CHAPTER 170: CHAPTER 170: INTERESTING

Champion stared at the little white kid in front of her. She had met many people in her life who she couldn’t understand, but... Riley was not actually one of them.

She understood him clearly. After all, he was right—they were the same.

What she couldn’t process, however, was how similar they actually were when she was younger. It was like she was looking at herself.

"Are you thinking how similar you are to me, Champion?"

And considering he was reading her like a book, he knew it too.

"Yes. But only when I was younger, Boss," Champion answered, sighing while shaking her head as she took a step back. "Reckless, thoughtless, rash, and blunt. I truly would suggest not going through with our fight—you are more powerful than me by a very wide gap, but you are physically stronger."

"I am going to use my abilities, Champion," Riley tilted his head. "It would not make sense for me not to do so."

"Oh."

"But only to the extent to make us practically equal physically," he explained. "I will not use it to fly, or otherwise try to move you or anything within the vicinity, Champion."

"Hmm." Champion stepped forward. "If that is the case, then okay."

Champion lowered into a stance, breathing out to the point that she almost looked like she had lost weight—even her chubby cheeks looked thinner now.

"Please, do not lower my salary if I hurt you, Boss."

"On the contrary..." A smile once again started to creep on Riley’s face. "...If you manage to hurt me, I will quadruple your salary this month. One."

Riley glanced at Darkday One, and the clone immediately moved between them and raised his hand.

"There are no rules in this match," he started laying out the rules, or the non-existence of them. "Champion, you may do whatever you want, even with the intent to kill your opponent."

"...Okay."

"Boss, please try not to kill her. We need more foreign hands to manage the Guesthouse while you and the Warden are away."

"Okay, One."

"Now that both of you understand that there are no rules, and now that you are ready, you may begin once my hand points to the ground."

Darkday One looked back and forth between the two, his vanta-black suit making him look almost like a shadow within the white plains of the workshop.

And very soon, this shadow lowered his hand.

"Woah!" He quickly flew away as Champion lunged toward his direction, not even waiting for him to move, as she propelled toward Riley. As for the target himself, Riley just watched as Champion drew near him. He watched her hands and her shoulder, but they soon disappeared as she suddenly dropped to the ground.

Champion rolled and then swept her leg toward Riley’s ankles.

"Oh?" Riley lost his balance, and Champion quickly lifted herself up with her hands, standing with them as she hooked Riley between her thick legs and thighs before he could even fall.

Her body then propelled downward violently, dragging Riley’s head with her as she spun in the air and slammed his face on the floor without mercy.

But she wasn’t done, not at all.

She sat up while still locking his neck with her legs, sitting on his head with her fat butt, while grabbing him by the wrist to completely pin him down.

And in just the span of a few seconds, she had Riley completely locked on the floor.

"Woah..." Darkday One clapped his hands. He also nudged Albert with his elbow, who bowed his head and quietly clapped his hands as well.

"No wonder she was so confident in choosing her name," Darkday One pointed at her while glancing at Albert. "Not bad, not bad at all."

"Indeed, Master’s clone." Albert nodded several times. But soon, his eyes squinted, and a small sigh escaped his lips. "But if it is just this, then..."

And as he was saying that, something happened that caused Champion to widen her eyes.

By all means, it should have been impossible for Riley to escape her lock. After all, it might look like she was only pinning her down with her weight, but no. She was also propelling herself downward to make sure that he truly wouldn’t be able to free himself.

But Riley, well, she underestimated just how flexible he was.

Even with him facing the floor, his feet and legs moved toward her neck. Like it was some sort of scorpion’s claw; his body, almost arching to the point of impossibility.

But even with this weird and astonishing feat, Champion wasn’t worried at all. After all, her body could be considered one of the hardest and most durable things on the entire planet. Or... at least that should’ve been the case.

It should’ve been impossible for her to even feel something, but she does. For the very first time in her life, she... felt something new.

She felt her flesh being... moved. She felt the grip around her neck tighten, her skin being stretched.

And for the very first time in her life, she...

"U-uhn..." she let out a moan.

Of pain, of course.

This new sensation overwhelmed her to the point that she couldn’t control her abilities and subconsciously put more power in propelling downward. But it didn’t matter, as Riley was countering it with his own abilities.

And soon enough, Champion couldn’t help it anymore. She let go of Riley’s wrists to grab the ankles clamped around her neck.

But there was no use, and she couldn’t budge his grip at all. The only thing she could really do was wait.

Wait as she felt her brain being deprived of oxygen. Time moved slowly, extremely so.

The second felt like an hour. An entire hour of this new... feeling filling her lungs. And the second second, she felt the grip around her neck tighten even further, and the whites of her eyes started to show.

And in the third second, a loud moaning gasp escaped her trembling lips as Riley suddenly released her from his grip.

"Ha-uhn...!" she breathed out, her entire body collapsing onto Riley, her head hitting the back of his thighs.

"Kh...hn..." she moaned again, almost wheezing as she felt the weight in her body disappear. She still couldn’t move, however, as her brain was only a second away from completely giving up.

She just lay there, unmoving. Her eyes were completely empty, and her saliva was dripping from the corner of her lips and sliding across Riley’s thighs.

And in the end, she felt her vision darken for a moment. And when she could see again, she was already looking at the white ceiling.

"You are awake, that is good."

"Hmm." She clasped her neck for a moment as she sat up. She then turned to look at Riley, who was seated at a table with a briefcase on his lap.

"I have chosen an outfit for you while you were unconscious, Champion," he said. "And although I am in quite a bit of rush due to school starting in a few hours, I feel I still chose adequately."

"I... lost," she whispered.

"Indeed."

"I have no right to call myself Champion."

"Be that as it may, you are."

"No." Champion shook her head. "My real name is—"

"Elizabeth Holden," Riley said, cutting Champion off. "Originally from London, correct?"

"That is... correct." Champion blinked. She then slowly stood up, glancing at Darkday One and Albert, who was just watching her every move. "But yes, I believe that I do not deserve the name Champion yet—give me another name."

"Very well, if that is how you truly feel." Riley stood up, placing the suitcase on the table next to him. "I quite like Dark Millennium’s naming pattern. So, pick a day. Any day."

"A day?"

"Yes. You do not have to worry, it might feel like a demotion since you were a Month in the Dark Millennium, but a Day here in our organization would represent the highest of my... subordinates. Below the Warden, of course. She is my First Subordinate."

"Then... how about Thursday?"

"Very well." Riley shrugged. "I am not going to ask your reason for choosing that, Ms. Thursday. But from now on, you are Ms. Thursday. Darkday One."

"Alright, I’ll take it from here." Darkday One approached, grabbing the suitcase from the table before looking back at Albert. "We’ll stay here for a while. Wait for the penthouse to be empty before heading out just to make sure. Also, Boss... an interesting order came up."

"Oh?" Riley tilted his head. "How interesting?"

"I believe it is interesting enough that you might want to handle the order yourself. The target is someone attending Mega Academy, someone we know. But perhaps the more interesting thing is that the order came from Russia."

"Who is the target?"

"Silvie Savelievna."

"That is Megagirl," Riley whispered, blinking several times as he glanced at Darkday One.

"Interesting."

"Should we accept it, Boss?"

"No," Riley answered without any hesitation. "I wish to acquaint myself further with Megagirl first, Darkday One. In the meantime, learn everything you can from the one who made the order."

"Exciting, eh, Boss? And here I thought the fun would start to dwindle."

"No," Riley shook his head.

"We are only just starting."
