Chapter 125: Attorney Nolan, You’ve Got Some Nerve!
CHAPTER 125: CHAPTER 125: ATTORNEY NOLAN, YOU’VE GOT SOME NERVE!
"Yes." The bodyguards responded, kicking the male model next to them, "Hurry up and get dressed!"
Sean Sterling stood with his hands behind his back, glaring at the damned GAY. Once he becomes useless, he’ll get rid of him—
He had completely offended the reporters, and soon, a video of Sean Sterling sitting shirtless on a bed, with another young man beside him, was broadcasted online and on TV.
-
Ian Sterling, busy managing the crisis at the company, was interrupted by his assistant knocking on the door, stammering, "Mr. Sterling, you should check the top news on the internet."
"What could be worse now?" he asked in a deep voice.
"It’s about... Chairman Sterling... You should look at it quickly and think of a solution, or else our stocks might plummet even further," the assistant advised him.
About his father?
Ian opened the browser, and a paused video popped up, showing his father sitting on a hotel room bed, with an unfamiliar man beside him.
Neither of them was clothed!
He widened his eyes, staring at the eye-catching news headline: [Summit’s Chairman is GAY, Spends the Night in a Hotel with a Man]
The words and images made Ian’s blood nearly boil...
Could his father really be... GAY?
He couldn’t believe his ever-masculine father would be attracted to men, yet the evidence was right before him. He didn’t dare click to watch, wondering how his mother would feel if she saw it.
Knowing that Summit was already in hot water, why would Dad do something like this? What was he thinking?
Did he not think it was embarrassing enough?
"Get the tech department to clean up these videos online immediately, and take a lawyer to the press to prevent their release tomorrow," he ordered his assistant coldly, restraining his anger.
"Yes." The assistant quickly exited the room.
Ian reclined back in his chair, slightly closing his eyes, rubbing his troubled brow, then picked up his phone to call his father, but it abruptly got cut off.
In the hotel room.
The bodyguards had already printed the photo of the woman from last night and handed it over. "Chairman Sterling, that gigolo said it was this woman who hired him; we checked the surveillance, and it’s indeed her."
Sean Sterling took the photo, glancing at it with furrowed brows, an ordinary face, unknown to him. "Investigate this woman and see if you can find her."
"Yes." The bodyguards replied.
"When will those thugs be brought over?" he asked coldly with his hands behind his back.
"It should be soon."
"Find that man from earlier and teach him a lesson," Sean Sterling glanced at them, giving the order.
"Yes..." The bodyguards remained expressionless, yet deeply shocked. Did that gigolo really... with Chairman Sterling?
It was truly explosive; just thinking about the scene was disgusting, considering Chairman Sterling was nearly fifty, not a young man anymore.
The bodyguards tasked with finding those thugs returned, reporting, "Chairman Sterling, the thugs are nowhere to be found; we can’t locate them for now, and their phones aren’t answering."
"Keep looking, find them no matter what," he commanded, clenching his fists sternly, when his phone suddenly rang; it was his son again, so he answered:
"Hello, what is it?"
"...Is it true you booked a hotel with a man?" Ian asked his father somewhat awkwardly.
"Do you think it’s true? I was set up last night, and I’m currently investigating the person behind it."
Sean Sterling was almost seething with rage; he always held pride in front of his son, but now his image was ruined.
Even though Ian believed his father wasn’t GAY, the fact that he was with a man last night still made it hard for him to accept...
But he said nothing of it, remaining silent for a moment before speaking in a deep voice,
"Could it be a rival group setting you up? They just won against us in a lawsuit and might be trying to completely crush us now."
Sean Sterling remained silent. It’s quite possible...
"Let’s wait until we find out the truth," he said solemnly.
-
Summer Nolan was now in Summit’s conference room, unable to suppress a smile while looking at the explosive news about Sean Sterling online. He’s become quite famous now!
Though, can he still face people after this?
"You’re truly fearless for someone so young. Aren’t you afraid Sean Sterling will trace this back to you?" Elias Spencer asked, leaning back in his chair, observing her mischievous smile.
He thought this woman merely arranged for an escort for that old man. He didn’t expect her to also call the reporters over to expose it. Sean Sterling must be livid.
This time, he’s really embarrassed himself.
"He has no evidence to prove it was me. Besides, with his current tension with the rival group, he might suspect them," Summer Nolan said, curling her lips.
"You should still be careful. Make sure your mother doesn’t go out much these days," Elias Spencer advised seriously.
"Mm." She nodded in agreement, considering hiring a couple of bodyguards herself. They could also drive for her, given her frequent social engagements which prevent her from driving herself.
Around ten in the morning, Sean Sterling arrived at the company, exuding a sharp aura.
The employees were all gossiping about him today, but upon seeing him, they lowered their heads in fear, not daring to look directly.
After a short while, his assistant knocked and entered the conference room, saying to Summer Nolan, "Attorney Nolan, Chairman Sterling wants to see you."
"What does he want her for?" Elias Spencer asked coolly.
"I’m not exactly sure, Chairman Sterling didn’t say, but Attorney Nolan should probably go," the assistant replied.
"Let’s go." Summer Nolan gave the man opposite her a reassuring look, knowing he wouldn’t do anything in the company premises.
She stood up and, following the assistant, went to the luxurious office of that old man.
Opening the door, she stepped in, glancing at the middle-aged man sitting in the boss’s chair, wearing a deep expression yet appearing calm, she raised an eyebrow slightly.
He sure can endure.
"Did you call for me, Chairman Sterling?"
She stood confidently in front of the desk, asking without a trace of panic or nervousness, as if she had nothing to do with the incidents.
"You have guts, Attorney Nolan!" Sean Sterling’s eyes were like a leopard ready to pounce, angrily testing her with words.
Normally, others would have shown nervousness and made mistakes, but Summer Nolan, familiar with court trials, wasn’t fazed at all.
She smiled with feigned puzzlement, "Chairman Sterling, for what exactly do I have guts? Please clarify."
Sean Sterling’s sharp eyes intensely scanned her expression, finding no flaws. This woman wasn’t ordinary, so it was normal not to scare her...
"Did you take Attorney Spencer away, making him unable to appear in court on time?"
"Chairman Sterling, Attorney Spencer willingly joined me on a yacht. We didn’t make it back due to unforeseen troubles, so you can’t just blame me," she replied with a smile.
