Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 24: She Saw What She Shouldn’t Have Seen!
CHAPTER 24: CHAPTER 24: SHE SAW WHAT SHE SHOULDN’T HAVE SEEN!
"Not jealous, just suddenly so cold?" Elias Spencer raised an eyebrow in response.
"I... I just can’t stand you, that’s all, how is this jealousy? I’m not going to eat backward grass, there are other men in the world." She laughed.
Elias Spencer looked at her and spoke honestly,
"Rich and successful men prefer obedient and sensible women, ordinary men like ordinary women, and Attorney Nolan, you’re probably not someone any man would like."
Was he gloating?
Every day, he was tempted by so many women in front of me, he refused outwardly, but in his heart, he must be smug, right?
Seeing that she had no man pursuing her, he must be laughing at her in his heart, right?
Indeed, an ex doesn’t want to see the other party living well!
"There’s no need for you to worry." Summer Nolan glanced at him. If one day there’s really an outstanding and handsome man who likes me, let’s see if he’ll eat his words.
"I’m leaving, going back." Elias Spencer didn’t continue the topic, got up, and picked up his briefcase.
"I still have an hour, you can go." She said coldly. Isn’t it just working for one more hour? Making up for the morning’s time, lest someone is displeased.
Elias Spencer walked up to her, grabbed her arm from the chair and pulled her up, coolly saying, "Do you have to be so stubborn?"
Summer Nolan threw off his hand, her voice hoarse with anger, "You’re the one who said I took half the money but didn’t do half the work! Rest assured, I won’t let you work an extra second!"
He looked at this woman as stubborn as a mule, his expression slightly darkened, not intending to waste words, suddenly carrying her over his shoulder.
He grabbed her belongings with one hand and strode out.
Summer Nolan’s upper body hung over his back, her mouth agape in shock, taking several seconds to react, she started pounding his waist with both hands, hoarsely yelling:
"Put me down! Who allowed you to touch me? Elias Spencer, are you sick? Stop being hypocritical with me!"
"Did you hear me?"
"I’m telling you to put me down!" Her voice now was like a buzzing mosquito, lacking any real momentum.
The more she shouted, the more it hurt.
Walking out of the meeting room, no one was working overtime outside. Fortunately, there was no one; otherwise, how would they explain this if people saw them?
Elias Spencer carried her to the front door on the first floor before putting her down, glanced at the pouring rain outside, furrowed his brows, he didn’t have an umbrella, and his car was parked a bit far away.
Summer Nolan, standing on the ground, crossed her arms and glared at him angrily.
"Wait here, I’ll drive over." He said, then took off his coat, holding it over his head, and ran into the rain, soon soaking from head to toe.
"Who needs your false goodwill?" Summer Nolan didn’t wait here, shielding herself with a black bag, she ran into the torrential rain towards her own car.
In just the blink of an eye, she was drenched from head to toe, the large raindrops hitting her body were even a bit painful.
Elias Spencer glanced back at her, his handsome face darkened a bit, hesitated for a moment, then went over, grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his car, opening the passenger door and ordered her:
"Get in the car."
"I have my own car!" Summer Nolan was forcefully dragged over, quite annoyed, she turned to leave, only to be shoved into the car by him.
"Stop being difficult, it’s not safe to drive now." He said in a low voice and locked the car door from outside, then went around the front, unlocked it again, and got in.
Summer Nolan looked at him, smiling, "Attorney Spencer, aren’t you worried about your little assistant, why are you meddling in my business?"
Elias Spencer started the car, silent for a moment before replying calmly, "After all, you worked overtime with me until now, if anything happens to you tonight, it will cause me trouble."
So that’s the reason, Summer Nolan laughed, she knew he was being hypocritical.
An hour later, the car stopped downstairs at his place.
Summer Nolan got out, turned and walked towards the exit, not wanting to stay at his home, not afraid of getting wet again, she was already drenched.
Moments later, this man caught up with her, grabbed her arm, and forcefully pulled her towards the lobby!
She stopped with effort, shook off his hand and smiled, "What does Attorney Spencer mean by bringing an ex-girlfriend home?"
"Driving in heavy rain for long isn’t safe, staying here for one night won’t kill you, come on, unless you want your cold to get worse?" Elias Spencer turned and glanced at her, his tone cold.
"That’s my own business, what’s it got to do with you."
Summer Nolan smiled at him, the two stood in the pouring rain, staring at each other like two opposing ice shards, each thinking the other too stubborn.
Elias Spencer slightly tightened his grip, stopped wasting words, and suddenly lifted her up again, one hand lightly slapped her backside, then walked into the lobby.
"Smack—" She was in pain, angrily also slapped him once on the backside.
Upstairs, once the door was pushed open, the dog excitedly jumped around them in circles, making noises.
"Good boy." Elias Spencer stroked the dog’s head gently, still not putting down the woman on his shoulder, Summer Nolan slapped him again, her voice increasingly hoarse:
"Are you still not going to put me down?!"
He directly dumped her into the side bedroom’s bathroom, said nothing, and shut the door, leaving.
Summer Nolan stared at the quickly disappearing man, mouth agape, didn’t even have time to scold him, he ran so fast——
"Ah-choo..." She uncontrollably sneezed, shivering from the cold, hurriedly turned on the hot water, and took off her wet clothes.
Half an hour later, she was wrapped in a white bath towel, threw her wet clothes into the washer-dryer.
Not seeing anyone in the living room, she directly pushed open the main bedroom’s ajar door, suddenly saw him standing by the bed, just putting on a pair of black underwear.
Summer Nolan’s eyes widened, her gaze fixed on him——
The man’s physique seemed sculpted by God’s own hand, every inch of his form exuded just the right amount of strength.
Broad shoulders and a narrow waist, a clear and neat inverted triangle figure, with not a trace of extra fat at the abdomen, as if harboring explosive power waiting to burst forth.
Summer Nolan’s gaze instinctively lowered... remembering the scene she’d just seen, her throat involuntarily tightened, her mind full of that image.
She unconsciously swallowed, her pale face turning beet red.
Making her heart beat in a bizarre jumble—looks like she really needs to visit a nightclub and find a man to ease her physical needs.
"Have you had enough of looking?" Elias Spencer turned around and put on a robe, expressionless, his voice cool.
At times like this, as long as she’s not embarrassed, surely the embarrassment falls on someone else! She leaned against the doorframe, pretending to be calm, arms crossed, smiling,
"I’ve long been sick of it, don’t worry, I’m over you, now looking at you is like seeing a giant white radish."
Elias Spencer heard her words, his eyebrows slightly raised, took long strides and crossed the room——
