Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 3: Shocking! Attorney Nolan and Attorney Spencer Have a Daughter?
CHAPTER 3: CHAPTER 3: SHOCKING! ATTORNEY NOLAN AND ATTORNEY SPENCER HAVE A DAUGHTER?
Summer Nolan walked gracefully to his side, her slender fingers lifting his tie to play with it, revealing a smile that could be considered "friendly":
"Attorney Spencer, your tactics are truly impressive."
"You’re too kind." Elias Spencer glanced down at her hand, pulled his tie out, slightly curling his lips, but his tone was flat,
"It’s just a business negotiation, each using their own skills."
Summer looked at this aloof and infuriating man, feeling a little tooth-itchy, wanting to deal with him.
Summer glanced at the office door that wasn’t fully closed, deliberately hooking an arm around his neck, placing a hand on his chest, slowly leaning close to his ear, teasingly saying something serious:
"Attorney Spencer, I hope we can ’learn’ from each other more in the future."
Elias Spencer’s ears involuntarily turned red, he suddenly pushed her away, sneered, "Is Attorney Nolan trying to seduce me?"
"We slept together last night, what’s wrong with a little seduction? To be honest, some details from last night are a bit hazy, I actually wouldn’t mind experiencing it again..."
Summer glanced at him, and as she spoke, lightly bit his earlobe—
As if a current spread from the earlobe, Elias Spencer’s Adam’s apple slightly bobbed, he immediately pushed away this enchantress, knowing she was purposely teasing him.
Summer suddenly leaned closer to his sexy thin lips, slightly tilted her head, and just when she was about to kiss him, she deliberately stopped, listening to his suddenly erratic and heavy heartbeat, smiling smugly, suppressing her laughter:
"Look at you, your heartbeat is so fast, your body is much more honest than your mouth—"
"..." Elias Spencer looked down at this woman who seemed to know no restraint, frowning, as a man’s lower body indeed often betrayed them.
He grabbed her wrist, attempting to pull away the hand pinching his, but couldn’t, reminding her in a deep voice:
"Attorney Nolan, the firm has rules against office romances. If discovered, one person must leave."
"There’s such a rule?!"
Summer’s eyes suddenly sparkled, her pupils turned, shaking his soft spot, coaxing, "Then let’s make up, how about you leave? I can take care of you!"
Does she think he’s a fool? What did she say this morning?
And now she wants to reconcile?
Elias Spencer was about to ’deal with’ her when the office door was lightly knocked then suddenly opened, and the female assistant saw the always aloof and distant Attorney Spencer being pinned against the floor-to-ceiling window by the newly transferred Attorney Nolan—
Her eyes widened in shock!!!
What kind of relationship do they have?
Why are they... so intimate?
Weren’t they supposed to be archenemies?
Every time they met, it was either a war of words or as sharp as needles against wheat awns, so why now...
Summer glanced back at his assistant, seeing the opportunity, a sly smile appeared on her lips, and she immediately let go, about to back away to leave him humiliated, but he suddenly embraced her, turning around!
Not only did he shield her, but he also pressed a hand tightly against her mouth to stop her from speaking!
Summer, annoyed, tugged at his big hand with both of hers.
Elias Spencer slightly turned his head, his expression calm and unperturbed, without a trace of embarrassment or panic, coldly instructing his assistant:
"If you dare spread a single word, you’ll be out of the firm, remember?!"
"... Yes." His assistant, Iris Lynn, who had always secretly admired him, nodded her lips, looking at Summer, her heart filled with intense jealousy.
Shameless, she just got here and already seduced Attorney Spencer!
"Out." Elias Spencer coldly spat out two more words.
She had no choice but to obey, leaving the office, tightly gripping the door handle, glancing at the surrounding colleagues, forcing herself to endure for now.
Summer finally had her mouth freed, and while he wasn’t paying attention, she suddenly kneed him hard between his legs. Elias Spencer bent slightly in pain, frowning tightly—
Was this woman trying to make him impotent?
Just as he was about to reach out to ’deal with’ her, Summer slipped away like an eel from under his arm, grinning arrogantly.
And she seriously said to him, "By the way, you shouldn’t send your daughter to school anymore, just let her unleash her nature and have fun, no need to study."
"Come here, we can have a good discussion..." Elias Spencer gritted his teeth silently, enduring the pain, standing straight, beckoning her.
"I don’t believe you," Summer saw his expression was ill-intentioned, slipping away faster than a rabbit.
Recovering from the pain, Elias Spencer looked at the closed office door, coldly pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pants pocket.
With a flick of his index finger, he flipped open the cigarette pack lid, took one from inside with his mouth, holding it in his lips.
A lighter clicked and ignited—
He took a shallow drag, exhaling swirling smoke, his gaze somewhat deep.
-
In the evening, at a high-end club.
Director Dawson insisted on holding a welcome party for her, and most of the firm’s middle and senior staff and key lawyers were present.
"Attorney Nolan, what’s your relationship with Attorney Spencer? Why were you sitting in his lap last night?"
As everyone came to toast her, a colleague jokingly asked.
"Drunkenly mistook someone, that’s all."
Summer, in a black velvet, figure-hugging one-shoulder gown, wore an impeccable social smile, exuding a natural sense of control and ambition, responded calmly.
It’s better to keep matters between her and him confidential, to prevent any gossip from these people.
Sitting right next to her, Elias Spencer, with long legs crossed, wore only a perfectly fitted dark gray shirt, with two buttons undone at the collar, lacking the stiffness of an elite, adding a touch of laziness.
Holding a cigarette between his fingers, the two exchanged glances, their sights briefly intersecting in the air—
No tension from the lawyer firm, only a mutual understanding of pretending, seemingly harmonious between them.
"Who did you have pick up your daughter from school? Did she obediently have dinner?" Her tone carried a strong sense of concern, she asked in a low voice.
Elias Spencer glanced at her, lowering his eyes to focus on the flickering ember between his fingers, his thick eyelashes casting a shadow on his cold white cheek.
The smoke he exhaled drifted past his sharply defined jawline, adding to his aloofness.
His distinct fingers caressed the black matte lighter case.
He didn’t respond to her or acknowledge her.
Summer turned to look at him, annoyed that after sleeping with her last night, she had only taken half of his cases.
Was he throwing a tantrum?
Seizing the moment when no one was watching, she suddenly kicked his ankle!
Elias Spencer moved his foot to the other side, still ignoring her, not looking at her, the warm yellow light outlining his handsome but cold side profile.
This person with such an attitude was really infuriating — Summer gritted her teeth in frustration.
A female colleague standing across the table pouring wine accidentally overheard what Summer said to Attorney Spencer earlier, and her hand suddenly shook!
Daughter?
Startled, the bottle in her hand almost dropped to the ground!
Attorney Nolan and Attorney Spencer have a daughter?
Is it true?!
Everyone in the legal world knows they’re nemeses.
